Good day everyone, this grow will be a grow using the fluxing technique for training her. Fluxing is manifolding to an extreme. You only top the plant once then train her to grow two main branches and from these two branches all the nodes that will form buds grows from this. Fluxing is a very intense grow style with lots of attention needed from the grower during the veg stage. Almost daily defoliating and training branches to grow how you want them to grow. Yet you can get a pound of dried buds from 1 seed using the flux method.
The fluxing technique was developed by a guy named light addict. The theory is you top your plant once and this forms two main branches that you grow out and flat. As the branches are growing they form nodes that you grow outward from the plant and each one of these nodes will become branches and you keep each one of these branches so they have only one cola site on the end of the branch. Grow in veg until you have the amount of bud sites you want and then let her grow upwards a week or so before flipping to flowering because she is already a mature plant and wont stretch as much so you want that week of growing upwards to compensate for that.
Ok yall, pull up a seat, spark one up and lets do some fluxing! I will grow this girl and keep her in veg until she has over 60 nodes for buds before flipping her into flowering. Probably 10 weeks in veg and 10 weeks in flowering. Today is Dec 17th so probably flip her into flowering around the end of February and Harvest will be around the first part of May. I know, I know....holy crap thats a long time in veg but trust me, it will be worth it. My last purple kush grow I had in veg for three weeks and ended up with a total of 60 grams of dried buds. This time it will be in veg for at least 10 weeks and I will expect at least 500 grams of dried buds from one seed. CKS says from an indoor grow 400 grams is the best that can be done. I want to out do that.
Put her into a 1 gal grow bag today. She had lots of roots coming from the rock wool and should take to the soil just fine.
She will stay in the 1 gal grow bag for 2 to 3 weeks and then move to a 5 gal grow bag and her own 24 X 24 X 60 tent for the rest of her grow.
She is growing well. Will top her this week and start the training process.
Update, started the training process. As can be seen from the pics its pretty aggressive grow style. Fan leaves are gonna be snipped constantly until she is ready to go into flowering. She made her second node and that is where I am starting. The first node lower down as well as its fan leaves I cut off today and the two fan leaves on top are gone. You dont need a ton of fan leaves when in veg. The plant just dont need them. The two nodes left after the trimming will become the 2 main branches.
Things are coming along nicely. Had a major issue, the entire right branch broke off but a node below it I was able to grow out replacing that branch. As you can see, most of the fan leaves have been cut off. In Veg the plant does not need a ton of fan leaves and the plant is fine with you removing most of them.
As of today the right branch had 5 nodes. Two on each side on the branch and the main one at the end. The other side had 3 nodes. I will keep her in veg until she has 30+ nodes on each side. Each one of those nodes will eventually becomea main cola and should have 60+ main colas at harvest time.
If you think about the fluxing method its not hard to tell this is the path to growing over a pound from one seed. Keeping this plant in veg until she has 60 cola sites is part of it but also maintaining each branch so that only one main cola is grown on that branch ensures larger buds.So basically with this grow stye you are controlling how many buds you have but your also setting it up for optimal bud growth.
One more thing, I replaced the 16 X 16 X 48 grow tent with the 24 X 2 X 48 one. The smaller one always been my germinating/seedling tent. Sometime in the next few days am going to transplant her into a 5 gal grow bag and put in a training board so I can start tying down the branches to help her grow flat and straight.
Time for an update. She is coming along really great. Transplanted her into a 5 gal grow bag. You can see the structure of the grow style now. 2 main branches with offshoot branches from these 2. Each offshoot branch will produce one main cola. The branch growing upwards in the latest picture now has 4 clear offshoots and the main one at the end. Thats 5 colas on that branch. The one going down has one offshoot and right at the end has two new ones growing. Thats 4 colas that will become main buds.
Now to guessemate here would be if I flipped it into flowering now what is the best the plant can produce. 9 cola sites, 10 grams of bud per main cola for 90 grams. Or I can figure 6 grams each bud for 63 grams. I am still a long way from being ready to flip her into flowerig but it shows how I calculate what to expect. If I have the room in this 2 X 2 X 4 tent I would like to keep her in veg until 25cola sites on each of the main branch.
Still havent put the training board up yet. I need to get off my lazy-ass and get er done.
One last thing, so far really no nutes. This week I transplanted into some fresh Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil and it has plenty of nutes for the girl to hold her for 3 weeks to a month before I need to start giving her any nutes. When I do start feeding her it will be with Fox Farms nute line. Of all the nutes I have tried so far I keep going back to fox farms because it seems to do the best for me. Not plugging them, just what I experienced so far.
Weekly update time again. As ya can see the training board is in place. The plant is trained to grow flat this way and allows the grower to control the frame of the plant. The majority of the fan leaves are stripped off. The plant dont need many of them right now and it makes it a lot easier to see whats going on with the plant.
As can be seen there is five barnches on each side that will each produce a main bud. Nothing else but a main bud. All nodes that it forms on these offshoot branches from the main branch, only the main cola on the end is permitted to grow. This ensures main bud sizes on each branch.
As she sits now there is 5 bud sites on each main branch. If I was to flip it into flowering today it should produce 100 grams of dried buds. I want way more than that so she will stay in veg a while longer. I am in no rush and that is the key. Patience if you want a great crop. The only concern I have is enough room for getting 60 bud sites. I have another grow going in a larger tent and once thats harvested I might have to move this plant into the 24 X 48 X 60 tent I have. I kkinda wanted to do it all in the smaller tent just so I can say I did it but being realistic, might not be possible. Will see in a month or so how much room I have left.
Time for a quick update. She is coming along but has not been developing nodes like it should At the moment she has 12 nodes. She should have twice that much but the plant dont seem to be developing them. Give it another couple weeks before flipping her to flowering. Way she sits now, around 120 gram plant. Lets hope she develops some more nodes.

found the plant dead this morning. No clue what happened. 2 days ago gave her some water and she was fine. Yesterday wasnt able to check on her but this morning she was dead. Never had one die for no reason before.
