Only one of the Banana Jealousy seeds was good, but so far it looks great! I also planted a Black Opal X Zkittlez from Irvine Seeds Co. and a Tree Hugger bag seed after I realized the other two weren't popping so those might show up in the background of this diary. Nothing special in this grow right now, just using my super soil mix and water right now.
First time trying a main-line. I left four growth points so I wouldn't have to top again. Makes sense to me, but I'm not sure if that's proper or not. Looks great today, though.
Last week of veg, I'm flipping the lights today. Top fed Gaia Green glacial rock dust and power bloom. No training or whatever but it's all looking good.
Top fed power bloom and glacial rock dust again. The pot really filled out nicely, great stacking on the Banana Jealousy. I'm excited for the weeks to come. Day 14.
Moving the light schedule to 12.5hrs on on the way to 13hrs on by week 5. I'm super happy with the growth, though the flowers are about half the size as it's pot-mate's.
Chugging right along, the buds on this one are miniscule compared to the pot-mate's. Makes me wonder if it's a slower genetic, or just a low yielder. No top feeding again, except for the Tropicana Cookies is the 1 gal. 12 hrs 45 minutes on.
Everything is filling out nicely. The Banana Jealousy is finally catching up to the Black Opal x Zkittles in terms of bud size. She's starting to smell sweet and creamy. I'm very much looking forward to these finishing up. 13 hours on, moving toward 10 hours on over the last two weeks.
End of week six and everything is looking groovy. Starting to chonk up and smell sweet and creamy. No top feeding this week. Lowering the light schedule to 10 hours on over the next two weeks.
End of week seven. The Banana Jealousy is smelling so good and growing rocks. Not the biggest buds, but probably the most dense I've ever grown. It's the last two weeks so I've lowered the light schedule by fifteen minutes and will do so every day until it hits ten hours on, supposedly promotes denseness, but I'm guessing it'll be tough to tell the difference. Did some aggressive (for me) defoliation.
End of week eight. I'm hoping she finishes over the next week, but it might take two. She's starting to fade a bit and looks good. I don't want to curse it, but there have been literally zero problems with the banana jealousy. The black zkittles in the same pot has some sort of deficiency and is flopping all over itself, having to be tied up. The Banana Jealousy has just been cruising, I love it. I hope the smoke is just as good as the grow.
Getting close to harvest, this will probably be the last update before harvest. The top colas look nice and Milky but the lower buds need a few more days to a week.
The 6.88 ounces is the dry weight. I trimmed after seven days of drying, the humidity was quite a bit lower than I was hoping so it dried a little fast, but it still smells amazing.
