Spent the whole week wondering if I was over or under watering. I was waiting about 3 days between waterings and only watering until I saw a few drops come out the bottom of the cup. I've been nervous because I keep seeing the most common mistake new growers make is overwatering. Ended the week with a poorly executed transplant into a 1 gallon smart pot (it's all I have atm). The root ball held together for the most part but after I got it into the new pot it kept falling over. Its standing up now. Hopefully it's not too mad at me.

Rate of growth seems pretty good but I'm still seeing leaves twist after looking good for about a week. I thought the first set may have been due to the seed casing getting stuck on the sprout early in its life but now I'm seeing the same pattern on the next set as the mature. I feel like I've been starving this plant of water out of fear of over watering.

I still keep seeing the new growth look great for about a week before it starts to curl and turn dark. I'm even seeing it on the first set of 5 leaves.

Has anyone seen this issue with leaves curling and turning dark after about a week of growth. I'm using store bought spring water ph'd to 6.5-6.8. Only watering once a week.

Hey there so over watering can cause this droop effect, but being in only 1 gallon pots and your plants arent just little seedling, they're nice looking young veg plants. Under watering can cause this similar symptom, hows your fans? Do you have some that are going all day or most of the day? The majority of your photos seems pretty dry soil, not muddy or extremely dark with water. Watering once a week doesn't sound excessive to me. When you do water, do the plants perk up or do they stay the same? If they perk upwards then they're under watered, if not then look into extending you waterings a few days more than a week, or up your air flow around the top and bottom of your grow space. You could also try a mild feeding of kelp extract as this is a common "plant tonic ". Happy growing friend, I'm sure they'll battle through since their over all health doesn't seem too severely bad as of yet.

It's been a pretty good week. I waited for undeniable signs of under watering before I gave it more water and I didn't have to wait long. I think the curling leaves from earlier weeks was due to nitrogen toxicity as those leaves are permanently deformed. There were black spots on all the severed growth tips after FIMing and it took a few days to recover but I'm finally seeing some new growth in that area.

I switched my light cycle to being on at night and off during the day in order to stabilize day/night temps better. I'll probably transplant to a 2 or 3 gallon pot next week.
