Germination

JULY 6 2024 - 5 gallon fabric pots - Big Worm organic living soil 1 bag per 5 gal pot - Germinating outside for humidity until light arrives - Plastic dome ( makeshift ) - Watered with 1/2 tsp hydrogen peroxide to about 60ml Water - Finished at about 1:15 am - 24-48 hrs germination JULY 7 - both seeds germinated in seed pod inside soil. (Bubba Kush more than Blue Cheese) - Took germinated seeds out of seed pod and placed directly in soil - Covered with solo cup for darkness and humidity - Keeping it between 70-79 in house while seeds continue germinating - Will have to let BLUE CHEESE grow outside-( no room in grow tent ) July 8 - removed the humidity domes for better circulation - Turned light on and it drove the heat up too high with the fan and inline exhaust so must set light higher for seedlings - Turned off light and turned down inline exhaust for a good temp of 77.7 F and about 62% humidity - We have seedlings! - Will continue to let them sprout further over night and start light cycle of 18/6 at 12 PM July 11 - both seedlings have sprouted and are healthy - seed husk got stuck on Blue Cheese so was removed with tweezers - Bubba Kush significantly bigger than Blue Cheese - Watered soil for increased humidity ( increased to about 75-80%) - Temp is about 77-78 F - Preparing 6.5-7 pH dechlorinated water - Watered living soil and should use the recharge in two days to replenish good microbes

July 22 - Had to water again as soil was dry watered with 500ml of ~6.5 pH dechlorinated water - With 3rd node and 3rd set of true leaves emerging decided to LST - Also decided to LST because of the leaf production at already established nodes to give them better chance to mature and produce buds (DUH!) - Noticed a bit of leaf burn on one new leaf (5 fingered) of Blue Cheese. Might be a light issue as the plant is growing closer to light and new leaves are sensitive but might be a nutrient issue as the soil is premade living soil. - If leaf burn is fixed with LST we know it’s not a light issue and must be nutrient or genetic related - Noticed plants growing toward center of the light so LST’d and positioned them so the main stem is closer to center of the light - Day 14 from germination heading into week 3! July 25 Readjusted LST July 29 - noticed burnt tips on the bubble kush plant so I readjusted position of plant also turned the fan up as it was also hot one day and temps got to 83-84F -Watered with a liter of ~6.3 pH water with The Stash blend - Pistils are showing on the 4 and 5 nodes of both plants so in prep for flowering I will do a top dressing of Gaia bloom this week

I have a singular leaf curling up. No other leaves are affected, the light is at 30in at top of grow tent and I haven’t used any nutrients. I need help identifying what it could be.

Hey mate, First of all your plant looks healthy. since it is a single leaf i would simply ignore it. Tacoing leaves normally means that your light is too intense and the leaves try to lower the intake surface, but thats definetly not the case here, since its only one leaf. Probably grew like that, because of space problems or the stem/leaf could be slightly damaged on that side. Nothing i would worry about or give attention too. You can LST the top of your plant or bend the leaf covering your plant to the side, the big upper leaf pointing towards us. So your branches get sunlight. The top has to be bend down frequently or she grows straight up again like on your picture and shadows all branches to a point where your lst becomes useless. Happy Growing 👍

July 31 - Soil was dry so I decided to top dress with Gaia Green Power Bloom at recommended dosage of 1tbsp per gallon of medium = 15mL per gallon = 5 tbsp - Blue cheese is outpacing Bubble Kush now with growth -Noticed gnats in tent but not on the traps or on the plants probably because the fan is high enough to blow them around - No leaf burn or curling persisting though the leaves produced from the same node as the curled leaf do exhibit some deformities so I’m going with genetics instead of environment -Readjusted LST August 3 -Readjusted LST - removed some of the bottom fan leaves receiving lil to no light as well as one big fan leaf from each plant blocking bud sites -noticed tears and a few brown spots on some leaves of the Blue Cheese . Tears and tips probably from LST -Brown spots will keep a eye on as it’s in two fan leaves not of the same node

Help! About to start week 5 and I wake up to yellowing at the tips of my newest set of leaves. My light is the highest it can go (32in) and the leaves don’t seem to be taco-ing. I just recently added Gaia green power bloom at recommended dosage for 5gal pot about four days ago.

Bud sites get a lighter shade of green when they’re about ready to start flowering. Just plant hormones doing what they do. I wouldn’t overly stress about it right now. Give a few more days and that gaia green will become more plant available. Plus it’s an auto flower so yeah I’d say she’s transitioning to get ready to stack buds. No stress no seeds no sticks.

August 5 - adjusted LST and monitoring the brown spots they haven’t spread and others didn’t appear -After using ~750ml Hydrogen Peroxide/Water solution I am free of a mild fungus gnat infestation -most bud sites have become lighter color and are developing pistils ladies are looking good -Gaia green power bloom should be more bio available so be mindful and look out for nute burn August 9 - removed some fan leaves from the bottom of both plants -Gave only 500ml of water with Recharge as I’m weary of fungus gnats will water in increasing quantities heading into flower as I know they should be getting at least a Liter every few days at this point August 10 - Bought a bigger tent from Green Hut and another 100w light as the tent is 4x2 -will probably do a bit of defoliation this upcoming week

Week 6! August 12 -Watered both plants with 750ml of water with The Stash Blend -Replaced fungus gnat traps as I usually have problems with them after watering and caught a few which is great as I have seedling in the same tent -Few bottom fan leaves are displaying brown spots will keep an eye out for potential deficiencies but some fans leaves were bruised when moving to bigger tent and some are shaded so could be why I have tears and brown spots 🤷🏾‍♂️ Edit***Potential nutrient lock out as the leaves aren’t yellowing or have brown spots at the top of plant but the bottom also didn’t pH water with The Stash Blend watering with~6.3 pH water to flush a bit*** -Blue Cheese really took off and is flowering nicely -The Bubble kush is slightly behind but I expect it to do some catching up this week August 17 -Been watering with ~6.3pH water and it seems to have cleared the lockout both ladies are showing growth again -Noticing a possible magnesium deficiency as it’s affecting the leaves from the bottom up. Next watering will try CalMag -Coming to the end of week 6 I expected some deficiencies in flower but whew that shit stressful lol especially since it’s been kinda smooth sailing until now

Week 7 Late Flower August 19 -Ladies are looking good. The Blue Cheese has really started to flower and I can even see trichomes forming at some of the buddies -The Bubble kush is a lil behind but looks good she may be about a week behind but from what I’ve seen it’ll probably go 10 weeks August 24 -Everything looks good with the Blue Cheese even seeing some trichomes at the bud sites -The bubble kush is looking sad. It perked up with a watering the other day but quickly faded today. -Seeing Nutrient burn at some bud sites on and yellowing of the leaves from the bottom up -I am thinking it is a pH problem with the soil as well as she may not be getting enough water -So I gave a gallon of unfiltered tap water ~7 pH to make sure the medium if it is acidic rises to an acceptable pH so the plant can absorb nutrients and to make sure the longer roots are getting water -These are the problems I can kinda assess as I’ve been doing the exact same regimen with the blue cheese that I have with the bubble kush. This kush lady may be a bit more thirsty. We shall see.

Week 8 August 26 -Starting off the week with a gallon of water for these thirsty ladies 6.7pH w/recharge - bubble kush isn’t looking the best but is producing pistils again which is a good sign she isn’t stressed any more -Blue cheese is frosting up at the bud sites and is looking lovely -Seeing a bit of calcium deficiency in the leaves at near the bud sites and will be giving them a big of CalMag next watering or sooner if I feel it needs it August 29 -Watered each with 1/2 gallon 6.4pH water with a teaspoon of CalMag and 1/2 a teaspoon of molasses

Week 9! September 2 -Watered both ladies with 6.4 pH water with Recharge and a 1/2 teaspoon of molasses -Blue Cheese is smelling great like sweet funky cheese and is frosting up nicely daytime humidity is ~47 and ~56 at night. Looking to get a dehumidifier for this last week to promote some fattening. -Bubble Kush is looking better now! Pistils are popping and buds are slowly putting on weight. She has a lot of nute burn it seems this plant was much more sensitive to nitrogen than the Blue Cheese. September 6 -Patiently waiting.

Week 11 -Yo! Yeah I was coaxed into letting it go another week by the wife so here we are not harvesting BUT it could be for the greater good cause trichomes weren’t looking great. -Other than that growth is good. Bubble Kush is fattening up also saw signs of potential potassium deficiency so have been using flower fuel at 1/4 strength once a week this is second week doing this. -Expecting Bubble Kush to go for at least another 2 weeks as the hairs are starting to turn brown this week -Excited for harvest! Will keep yall updated please feel free to comment with observations or advice!

Yo! Need some advice please. Its 13 weeks on my Bubble Kush auto and she is going through senescence and some of the sugar leaves are dying inside the buds. I went through and pulled most of them out but I’m afraid of bud rot. Should pull her now to be safe? Or wait?

gently lift up a bud / spread it out so you can see the stem - any white or grey fuzz? slimey substance? if not, should be okay. brown discoloration on the flower is another sign of infection. if you find some obvious infections, consider harvesting early.. definitely cut it out in the meantime.
