Week 4, I topped the plants and chose 4 mains per plant. I will make sure that topping will be every 3rd or 4th growth terminal moving forward, I will be topping each plant, and will be shooting for 16 tops or so. from there we will grow out and flip.
Still doing feed water feed, I also watered in the plants with recharge mixed at 1/4 tsp per gallon of RO, ph was at 6.2 and they took well to the transplant. From now on i will be gradually boosting nutrients every other week up until early flower.
Lights are up to around 300 ppfd just to note the bump up.
For the main lining I'm going to be using a combination of stakes, Brach trainers and garden wire. The goal this run is to get more efficient at the training to mitigate downtime. I have a bit more confidence with my LST work so I feel like I can get better results. That and having the branch trainers holding the branches down so they don't pull the steaks out of the dirt before they tops reach the edge of the containers.
So for now i will let them chill for a day or two and then start training.
So it begins!
@hightech316, So far i have see larger growth in the areas that I have applied the side lights. Getting that middle canopy blasted while your in the final stretch helps get light into the budsites and overall helps. I'm still playing with orientation to find the sweet spot.
It also helps with the PPFD drop of with the VS4000. I know now in hindsight I should have went with a Bar light for flower to get better cover on the edges of my 4x4.
Great lights for clone/germ boxes as well.
