cauliflower It’s my very first attempt of growing ever, so if anyone ever finds this report, please be gentle. Thanks!
Day 1: Paper Towel w/ 3 seeds.
Day 2+3: Seeds do seed things.
Day 4: Two seeds made it out alive, so I repotted them.
Now the plants enjoy some fresh air and sunlight before they are moved to the grow tent. I’m using basic soil from the garden centre near by. As I’m an absolute newbie, I’m eager to learn from my mistakes. For my first attempt I’m not going to use any supplements for the soil as long as it’s not needed.

cauliflower Nothing much to say about the first week. Only writing down some notes to myself as I figured some common mistakes I made.
Notes:
- Don’t repot to soon into a bigger pot
- Monitor the humidity more constantly and take action if needed better sooner than later
- Give the seedlings more time to rest as the 20/4 schedule in combination with the big pot and dry air was just too much at once = Change schedule to 18/6

cauliflower Overall, I’m pretty happy how this week went so far. End of last week I added some new soil to the pots (containing a little bit of Zamnesia Monster Bud Mix) and they seem to enjoy that so far.

cauliflower After some mold issues I repotted the two plants. The plants recovered quite well, so I trimmed a few leaves today. I’m planning to flip the plants to flowering phase two to three days from now.

cauliflower First week after switching the light schedule to 12/12 is over and the plants really seem to enjoy it. As I had the impression that the fan leaves of the main stem take too much light from the branches below, I pruned almost all of them. I did this basically by pruning a few leaves every other day leaving one to two days in between for the plants to process(not sure if that makes any sense, though).

cauliflower I watered each plant with 0.5l this week and to be honest I’m still not sure if this is enough at all. Also, due to the watering I guess the humidity increased again. That’s why I increased the air filter flow a bit as well as the fan intensity. Overall, I’m very happy with the process so far.

cauliflower I used this week to do some pruning. It still seems strange to me that both plants have such a different height. While the first one is smile and slightly more „bushy“ the second one is very tall, almost double the size, and rather thin in comparison. The humidity is as well increasing even through I increased the air filter and the fan power, too. There is as well a non-electric dehumidifier in the tent, but so far seems like it doesn’t help at all. I guess I’ll wait another one or two days before ordering an electric one, though.

cauliflower This week, I finally got myself an electronic dehumidifier and a humidity controller. Seems like the dehumidifier doesn’t have enough power to regulate the humidity down to RH 40%, though. Anyhow, the plants seem to enjoy their environment, so nothing to complain about.

cauliflower I started to use some traps for the flies and other insects as it felt like this was increasing throughout the last weeks. Other than that, there were no issues or things coming up this week.

cauliflower Feels a bit like the plants do not take up water that easy anymore, so I’m switched back to give them around 400ml every second day - probably extending to 3 days soon. Humidity seems fine.

cauliflower Looks like we’re almost there, just one or two weeks to go. As mentioned last week, I further reduced watering the plants by only giving 400ml every two to three days now. The temperature as well as the RH habe been quite stable this week, I even achieved lower temperatures in tent which seems beneficial over all.

cauliflower Pruned lots of yellow leafs this week in order to maintain proper light for all buds. I also shifted to 0.25l water a day. As there’s no time pressure, I will probably wait another week or two before harvesting.
