🌱started germinating seed in single shot glass, 12 hours in dark.. transferred to cotton round pad and with tin 24 hrs this baby rooted and was ready for is temporary potting home!
🌱once seed was planted, I had to wait a day for my grow tent to arrive so I left them it out under an LED for the day/night .. however little hands found there way to the pot and accidentally knocked her over
🌱GOOD NEWS!! Little Bert sprouted , but unfortunately grew 1 cotyledon.. unsure if it’s because of the trauma , or it’s just a slight mutation.. in any event I’m super excited to see how she turns out!! For now all is good.. until next week friends 😎
🌱 WELL here we are, week 2 and I’m so happy to report that Orange Sherbert is THRIVING. I was truly worried that the growth was going to be stunted due to the dropping of the pot and 1 cotyledon but she powered thru.. and tho she’s a couple days behind her sister Biscotti the plant itself is looking fantastic.
🌱Added just a smidge of water until there was just a trickle of runoff.. and I believe I’m starting to see some roots branched out to the bottom of the pot
🌱 I’m thinking this is going to be the last week in these temporary pots and the beginning of next week I’m going to transplant them into their final 5 gallon fabric bag homes
ROOTING FOR YOU ‘BERT
(Pun intended)

‼️ WEEK 2 ‼️
🌱 soooooooo all the worry about Orange Sherbert having stunted growth due to its missing cotyledon was for no reason.. this plant has TAKEN OFF after transplant this week!!
🌱 transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots using ROOTS ORGANIC ORIGINAL soil and the plants have taken such a liking to it
🌱 after transplant the pots consumed around 3/4ths gallon of water until minimal run off appeared. Seems to last around 4-5 days until more is needed.. also I’m guessing the soil has enough NPK for atleast another couple weeks until I’ll have to top it with some earth worm casting and maybe light calmag.. but for now this beautiful strand is simply rolllllllllling
🌱 this little one has made me nervous from the day she popped with one cotyledon , thinking it was going to grow weird she’s definitely behind size wise a few days from my other plant but definitely seems to be holding her own.. started this week with a quick topping, 4 nodes high thought it was a good time and she has bounced back very nicely
🌱 she’s growing more lanky/taller than my other indica strain which is a flat out small bush right now but seems healthy.. the only thing I noticed was that the leaves seem to be a tad bit droopy for my liking but it may just be what happens to indoor plants? Idk .. so I went ahead and added some earth worm castings, fed her calmag and some silica. Seems to be responding nicely to the nutrients but going to keep my eye on her
