Gorilla Cookies Auto

stutch Now that the plant has been able to grow a little in the Jiffy, I have prepared the Air-Pot. The pot has a volume of 12.5 liters; I filled it with soil, pressed it down lightly, and then tipped some more soil and perlite on top. Experience has shown that the substrate sinks more than expected due to watering, and only the top two rows of the Air-Pots are waterproof. I won't make that mistake again. I fertilized with 50g BioGrow and 50g BioBloom from Green House Feeding. Then the Jiffy was freed from its "skin" and went into the soil. It was then watered with nematodes; last time I had slight problems with fungus gnats. The lamp is on 20% (0.2*150W=30W); I always try to make a small trench around the plant with Air-Pots. This keeps the water in the pot better.

stutch Plant grows and thrives. No watering, no fertilizer. VPD increased from 0.8 to 0.9, yellow stickers without infestation, light increased from 20% to 40% (60W) on 31.08.

stutch It continues unspectacularly: the plant has not yet been watered, the pot is still very heavy from the original watering when it was planted. I increased the VPD from 0.9 to 1.0 on 07.09., did not add any fertilizer, the distance between the lamps is sometimes adjusted earlier and sometimes later. Everything looks great, and so far no fungus gnats have appeared as with the last grow.

stutch Friday the 13th was the day, Madame got water and fertilizer. This time she was given 30g of BioGrow and 30g of BioBloom from Greenhouse Feeding, plus about 3.5g of BioEnhancer. Afterwards I gave the plant about 4-5 liters of water, she was quite thirsty. In any case, the plant has made a big boost in the last 2 days, and there is now a subtle but distinct smell coming from the tent - if you open it. I'm still very satisfied so far, let's see what it looks like in 6-8 weeks.

stutch On 20.09. the plant was watered again, otherwise there is not much new to tell. I'm still too lazy to put the net in the tent, somehow the plant automatically grows relatively bushy and gets a lot of light in the lower shoots.

stutch This week there was only water, the plant is developing splendidly. I find the green of the leaves very pleasantly pronounced, I'm satisfied and as far as I know I don't have any problems at the moment. It’s extremely uncomplicated and the plant is slowly becoming really bushy. Increased VPD from 1.2 to 1.3.

stutch Another update on the Gorilla Cookies Auto. This week I removed a few leaves, added 30g BioBloom as top dressing and removed the humidifier from the tent. The plant is a bit stagnant in height, I'm not sure if I should have increased the spacing earlier - but if there's a decent harvest at 60cm it works for me anyway. The leaves look lush green, no fungus gnats and overall still a very stress-free grow.

stutch Another very unspectacular week. I'm toying with the idea of defoliating the plant, but I'm still hesitating. I defoliated the last plant very heavily, but I wanted to leave this one 100% natural. It was watered 2-3 days ago, in the meantime I have bought a saucer so that I don't always have to catch the leaking water with a towel. The plant is doing well, some of the lowest sun sails have died - but I guess that's relatively normal with the little light that reaches the bottom. Moving on.

stutch A Friday update today. I've just added 30g BioGrow, 40g BioBloom and 5g BioEnhancer from Greenhouse Powder Feeding. There were already too many leaves. I had planned to leave the plant completely natural, but today I spontaneously decided to defoliate it a little. I hope I haven't stressed the plants too much, time will tell. It smells like hell in the tent, the Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies Auto already smells more intense than the Royal Queen Seeds Dos-Si-Dos Auto at harvest. Due to slight deficiency symptoms on the leaves, I fertilized the plants today and gave them water with a pH value of ~6.2. I also had quite unpleasant “problems” with the VPD over the week, just couldn't really get it towards 1.3. The humidity was way too high in my opinion, and I didn't feel like abusing the heater all the time to dry out my air.

stutch Week 10 of the Gorilla Cookies Auto. Again pretty unspectacular, it will now ripen a little and then be harvested. Poured water with a pH value of 6.4-6.9, removed a few old or dried leaves from the tent and that's it. To be honest, I finally want to be ready to start the first coco grow. Let's see when the time comes.

stutch Once again the weekly update. I've bought a pH pen to be able to control the water a bit more precisely, and I've also switched from citric acid to phosphoric acid to regulate the pH value. I don't know if I did something wrong, but the citric acid only stabilized the water for a day at most. Maybe it doesn't matter because of the soil as a medium, but I'm still trying to get used to it for the next Coco-Grow. I've also changed my watering habits over the last few weeks due to the humidity in the tent: Instead of watering until the Air-Pot loses a little water, I have only ever watered 1-2 liters by feel. The reason for this was that the RH in the tent was far too high when I was at work, so I tried to increase my VPD a little (which worked). I think the problem was that my dry fertilizer from Green House Powder Feeding needs more water in the substrate to work properly. Result: The leaves are a little too bright green for my taste. Yes, the plant is also in the late fall of its life, but in my opinion the leaves are a clear indicator that there are not enough nutrients available. Maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong, but there was a big watering can on Thursday. By large I mean almost 6 liters in this case, really incredible what good soil can do for the ability to store water. In any case, I now have the normal “mould” layer on the surface of the substrate for the fertilizer used and am making sure that the plant is looked after as well as possible until it is harvested in probably a week's time.

stutch The grow is coming to an end. I watered one (probably) last time during the week, now I'm inspecting the buds daily with a microscope to see when the good lady is ready. I'm not sure at the moment, I could probably harvest already, but what damage can 2-3 days more do? I just removed a lot of yellow leaves while taking photos to allow more light to reach the lower buds and increase the airflow, I can't and don't want to do much more at the moment. Maybe I'll give you the next update during the week, when I'll cut them down and hang them up.

stutch The grow ended today. I could probably have waited another week, but I didn't feel like it and wanted to install my new Autopot system as soon as possible. The plant looks great, most of the fan leaves have already fallen off over the last few weeks. I cut them off today 2-3 hours after “sunrise”, turned them over and hung them up. Pretty stress-free, like the whole grow. I'm curious to see how much I'll harvest and it should be ready in about 9 days. Humidity will be set to 55% for the first 2-3 days, then I'll let it go nice and slow to ~60% RH and hopefully be able to trim and store in pretty much 8 or 9 days. Then there will also be an update with the weight.

stutch All in all, a very stress-free grow. No LST, hardly any leaves cut off, the dry fertilizer from Green House Feeding is just made for me. The whole thing was very easy, I had so few problems that it was almost boring. Water it and it's good, add a little fertilizer from time to time and harvest! 10/10
