Hello. This is the beginning of week 3 of veg. I've been harvesting the Blackberry Moonrocks I had growing in the greenhouse (6 plants) and indoor grow room (3 plants). I'm the guy who saved the Pink Kush from the grow op bust about 30 years ago. I didn't know what I had so I was calling Hash Plant at the time. It was ReeferMan who put the Pink Kush name on it. I was giving and selling clones at that time and he finally got one in a trade with some old boys. See my the beginning of my first Pink Kush diary for the whole story. I even waved to the cops as I carried it off. (I was a garbageman at that time). Little did they know I'd save a clone. 😁 So I like to get different Pink Kush's when I can, to check them out, to see if they can even come close to the original. I didn't know that it was a world class strain in the beginning, it was just Good! Gave me a dizzying head rush every time I stood up. Super strong. So don't order from this guy. I got these seeds from Coastal Mary seed bank - She's listed on the breeders page. I got them fast, a few days. But when I opened the packages there were white seeds. I emailed Coastal Mary who said that WeedaSec packages their own seeds, then she asked if they would germinate? I didn't want to try them at that time. I emailed WeedaSec about the white seeds, but didn't get a response. I just took the loss of the few bucks the seeds cost. A few months after I bought the seeds I checked on him and he was on a different website with other breeders. I checked on him before writing this to find him on his own website now. I guess he doesn't play well with others and he's in for the money, explaining the white seeds. Coastal Mary was nice she even sent me a package of AK47 to try when I said I was on Grow Diaries. So I ended up starting 12 seeds and it looks like I got 9 seedlings out of it. One started and came up but just stopped growing. I had to take off the shell and membrane from 3 seedlings. I'm getting better at it, I haven't broken a seedling in years. In my 30 years of growing indoors I've found, the ones I've had to take the shell off of, turned out to be, good high test ones. Some of these seedlings look mutated though. They usually start putting out normal looking leaves by the 3rd set of leaves if they have weird leaves, so we'll see how they grow. Light food right now. They will get their first mixed food next watering. I'll dig out a new Freak Bros comic book for next week, for you to enjoy. Ok. Be Great. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg. Things are doing good in here. Most of the plants have put out normal leaves now. These are regular seeds so they need to be at least 7 weeks old before they show their sex to me. I always want great females but I'm looking at the males too, for make seeds for next year. What would I call the cross of Pink Kush and Death Bubba - Bubba's Pink Death? It starts all sorts of rude thoughts. Started a new comic for you to look at. Freak Bros. comic book # 8. Printed January 1984. The next 3 books are the Idiots Abroad series. I'm showing Book 9 in the Death Bubba Diary. They are the same old Freak Bros, but they don't smoke much pot in these issues. I remember buying this one at the head shop for 2 dollars when it first came out. Now this first edition is worth 15 dollars Canadian. Ok. Be Great Out There. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg. I missed reporting last week, I was busy putting the Blackberry Moonrocks into jars. I looked in the cupboard yesterday and was wondering what that yellow powder was and then saw a male with 2 flowers open. Good thing I don't have anything in flower around here. I looked closer and found 3 males and 2 females, with 3 yet to be decided. I toped all the ones that showed their sex and now I'm just waiting for the other 3 to show. I've got some yellow leaves because I neglect them from time to time. Ok. Have Fun Out There. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of veg. I saw some fungus gnats in my other clone cupboard and in some upstairs house plants, so I got some nematodes. I didn't read the Amazon add very carefully and wasn't expecting teabags with small cannabis seed sized pellets inside. Sorta looked like snail eggs. I cut the teabag and with a spoon I put 10 to 15 pellets on each plant and watered in. I spread 2 teabags on the house plants and 2 teabags on my plants. I saved 4 teabags to reapply in 15 days. I'm going to get the ones you mix in the water and water in, next time. Oh well... Live and learn... 😉 Things are going well in here... Found another female... So that makes it... 3 males and... 4 females and still... one undecided. At first glance, the males are nothing special. No big smell, can hardly feel and stickiness with the rub test,.. sorta average males. But they are young still and I'll give them another look in a couple of more weeks. I've topped every plant that has shown their sex to me, I'm getting ready to repot them and put them in the tent. I'm getting my seeds sorted, and put away in air tight containers. Got lots of fresh seeds and can send you some for free, if you do a diary on them. I made regular seeds with a male Panty Punch and female clones of... The White Amnesia Lemon Critical OG Pink Kush Blackberry Moonrocks #4 I'm happy with the male I chose but need some people for testers. If you want some free seeds... privet message me... Ok. Have fun out there. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of veg. I took another look at the males and found them to be average. Not that smelly or resinous. So, no good for breeding. That's ok though. Let see what these females can do. They are topped already and ready to be repotted and put in the tent. There's still 1 plant undecided. Has small male looking flowers. I'll leave it for a few more days before deciding. Man, there are lots of large female orb weaving spiders around here this year. Huge webs, when you walk into them in the dark, they don't break off like the little webs. What a difference in design though. These spiders are all in my yard. I find them fascinating to look at. Hope your enjoying the comics. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Hello This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. Everybody got repotted the last couple of days. I mistreated them a little and got some yellowing leaves for it, but they should recover nicely. Well we got 4 females from 15 seeds started. With regular seeds there were males, and they were average. One of the little plants was very smelly when I was repotting it. I'll have to find that one again next watering. Busy week for me... I washed the house and 2 vehicles, Got my yearly growing supplies. Cost me over 800 Dollars Canadian I got 10% off for being a senior, helped a bit. I even said to the clerk how much things have gone up since the last time I was here. OK. Be Great out there. Chuck.

Hello This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. I see when taking pictures, that the plants are dry enough to give another watering, with some food too. The plants have recovered enough and have started lifting the main tips. Some of the longer growing tips/tops will be clipped to make 2 ends on each tip/top. Slows the upwards growth with the more tips/tops you have. I wanted to show the 2 fans I have in these tents. I've tied the tower fan to the roof. It really circulates the air around the tent. And the smaller fan that brings in fresh air. Showed some pics of the 2 plants I have left in the greenhouse. It's been an cool early fall and the buds haven't got very big. I can always make kief out of them. I was over at my Buddy's on Sun. His plants aren't doing well this year either. He said 3 of the clones I gave him went to flower in the spring. They turned back to veg but took longer to go into flowering at the end of summer. I had told him about flooding them with light for 5 minutes a night to keep them in veg. But he thinks his light wasn't bright enough to keep them in veg in the spring. You can see on his deck he made a shelter to put them in to keep the rain off them. He'll harvest when he see's a bit of bud rot happening. He also didn't break up the soil from last year, in the spring. He just made a hole big enough to put the clone in and top fed. So the soil is packed, when the roots need air. Oh Well. Live and Learn. OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg. The plant have gotten over the transplant shock and are growing again. I did some training on them just before taking the pictures. They needed to be spread out and the longer branches topped to make 2 ends. Slows the upward growth, down. Fall has hit here. I've got 2 plants in the greenhouse that have to come down this week. Got the main grow room up and running last week. I've got 8 plants in there. in hydroponics, under Mars Hydro lights. Might start a diary on those in a week or so. They were clones that were 3/4 of a year old. They need a little extra time to grow new leaves and look better. They seem to go into a kind of survival mode when grown in small pots after awhile. They grow smaller leaves and thicker branches. They had nice white roots when I repotted them. Hope your enjoying the comics. I hide others comics and a couple of grow books in my other diaries if you want to look, if you like Fat Freddie's Cat or the Freak Bros. comics. I'll try to remember to list my nutrients next week. They are the same as my other diaries if you want to see, before then. Ok. Have fun out there. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg. These plants were left alone this week. Watered these plants with food once this week. I have to get in here and water these plants tonight with just water and do some more training. Everyone is looking healthy and growing some yellowish new leaves. It should be a couple of more weeks before I switch to flowering. We are ending the Freak Bros. book next week. I'll find another, it's really called, "Weirdo" comic book by Robert Crumb and other underground artist in the 1970tee's. Covid is on the rise... Got the new vaccine yesterday. Hope it leaves you alone this year. Best Wishes. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 11 and the beginning of week 12 of veg. Well, one more week of veg and then I'll be turning them over to flowering. Everyone has filled out well, but it hard to keep the RH down with 6 plants in this tent. Did some LST and topped some of the longer branches to get 2 ends where there was one. Slows them down a bit. Let them heal this week and then switch to flowering for next. The next trim is done just before the 3rd week, before the resin crystals start growing. That is the last of Book 8 of the Fabulous Furry Freak Bros. I'll find something Weirdo to show you for next week. OK. Have Fun Out There. Chuck

Hello. This is the end of veg and the first week of flowering. Everyone is nice and green and doing well. With 12 plants, in 2 tents, I have 2 dehumidifiers going in that bedroom, to keep the rh where I want it. I've got them outside the tent and am dumping them twice a day. The extractor fan just pulls into the tent the non-humid air, and blow the humid air over the dehumidifiers. Got a new comic book to take us to harvest. It's Weirdo #6, Less sex and violence than Zap comic books so I shouldn't get any complaints. Yes, some of the comics are a little weird but that's right in the name. Ok. Have Fun Out There. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering. Left these girls alone this week. Just watered once. They need food tonight. These plants are on the night shift. I didn't do a diary on my main grow room so I posted a video of it last. My 7 best clones. This week I'll be hauling leaves for mulch for under my bushes and trees in my yard. People rack the leaves out to the street for the vacuum truck to take. I go with my 45 gallon tub on a dolly, and my pitch fork and scoop shovel and gather leaves. The dolly makes it easy to dump them around the yard. I've planted a lot of nectar giving plants and bushes for the humming birds and bumble bees and honey bees that bloom at different times of the year. Right now in Nov. I have 4 Winter Flowering Mahonia Bushes and about 6 humming birds chasing each other around. The bees come out when the temp get over 10* c In Jan. I have a winter flowering honeysuckle that blooms and smells heavenly, that the humming birds also like. Ok If you can be great, at least be good. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Man these plants shot up. Only plant #1 is staying smallish. But it doesn't have a lot of smell with the rub test. Plant #2 smell the strongest but it's taking off, with 5 to 6 inches between leaf nodes. Plant #3 is 2nd smelliest but it has a citrus smell to it. And Plant #4 doesn't smell much either. Got some nematodes this week from Amazon and they seemed dry. I don't know if any of them are alive in there. Mixed it up and put it on the plants. So we'll see? Showed some of the humming bird food plants. They use the nectar/sugar for the fuel to get the little flying bugs they live off. It's funny to see these fast missiles catch a flying bug. Is sort of a dance in the air to get the bug in it's mouth. Got to get in here this week and do a final trim/prune with attention on getting rid of sucker branches. And opening up the center for good air flow and take off some of the top fanleaves for better light penetration. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering. Got in here this week and trimmed up some. I took off the sucker branches and took off some fan leaves that weren't getting enough light. Read years ago, that the more light a bud site gets the bigger the bud will be, so I cut some of the fan leaves from the middle to get more light to the center. There are lots of white pistils on each bud site, so I'm waiting to see if the flowers will swell and get big and heavy. Might need more support if that happens. Lots of rain this week outside. spent most of it inside working on my plants. 😊 I like that midget with dreads picture... I can see it both ways... It's better/funnier when your blasted/stoned. 😏 OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. Man... I'm getting disappointed with this - seems to be- crappy strain. The resin should have started after the 3rd week... but these are a week late in showing crystals. And what they are showing, when I can find some thc crystals, is not very much. Unless these plants explode with resin, I'm going to be disappointed with the outcome. Put up a couple of pics of the Dos Si Dos 33 that is the same age and in the same tent as the Pink Kush and the difference in thc crystals production is quite noticeable. But I'm going to take them to the end and see what I get... If it's not so good I'll give a bad harvest report and with a warning to not buy from this guy. In over 30 years of growing inside, I've had some shitty seeds before. Always disappointed and miffed when it happens, but It's not my fault. So - "Don't" buy from this guy, he also ships out white seeds too! He's just in it for the money. Got a new EMF meter and have been metering around the house. My grow lights have a high magnetic field but no electrical field reading, must be shielded. My portable phone base and my Wi-Fi have high radio fields output. The meter tell me to avoid the area, with a red flashing light nd beeping. They have high readings and I can detect them from 5 feet away. large fields. I've ordered a Spirt Box too, to talk to the spirts. I watch some ghost hunting shows and wanted to try it. With the postal strike it might not get here till after Christmas. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering. These buds are starting to fill out now, but still not much resin. I can see some on the sugar leaves. But it should be a lot more at this point. Yeah... Not happy with these plants. At least I've got a Bubble Magic Pollen Tumbler for making Kief. Which is where these plants are headed. Took some pic of the Dos Si Dos 33 which is in the same tent to compare resin production with the Pink Kush. Quite week. Worked on getting more firewood on the weekend. Got most of a large Alder tree. About a load and 1/2 for my ford ranger. Ok Have Fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering. Wow... Plant #1 is looking not too bad. It's got the most resin crystals going and the buds are starting to bulk up. But the other plants are behind in resin production... should be more. Some of the plants seem a bit wilty, so I'll water tonight, when the lights come on. I've got the real Pink Kush that's 6 weeks into flowering too, in the other flowering area and I'll show some pictures of what these plants should look like. The Dos Si Dos 33 is looking good, but is leaning over some. I'll see if I can tie it up better tonight. Been raining for days this week. Ok. Be Great. Chuck.

Hello This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. These plant are getting better. They seem to be filling out and getting more resin with a better smell now. I think these plant might be better that I originally thought... with them sending me a few white seeds in the packages. I thought they would be crap, but I might have to eat my words if they get me stoned. Plant #3 has an interesting smell of partly raw mint. They seem to be taking off now and filling out, so I think I'll take them to 10 weeks, like I originally planed to do. Getting some yellowing leaves now, and some dead ones I'm picking off when I water. OK. Have a great holiday time. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. These girls are filling out now. And there's some pink and purple going on too. The plants are smelling stronger now and they are putting out THC crystals. Plant #3 has a raw minty smell, like I rubbed a peppermint leaf in my fingers and smelled my fingers. I'm hoping these plants will smoke strong... but I'm not seeing very much THC crystals forming. I hope they are strong enough for me. The last 5 pictures are of the "Real" Pink Kush and a cross I made; I took Dr. Atomics Northern Lights #5 pre 2005, And crossed that with Barneys Amnesia Lemon, to be called Northern Lemnesia. I too that and crossed it with the Pink Kush. I took the Pi for Pink Kush and No for Northern Lights and the AL for Amnesia Lemon and got Pinoal Kush. Got a musky citrus taste and smell. So if I can do that (see pics),... then I was expecting more THC crystals out of these WeedaSec plants. Ok. Have Fun out there on this New Years Eve. Be safe... Chuck.

Week 22. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Hello. This is the harvest report for pink kush by weedasec. Ordered 15 seeds about 1 1/2 years ago from Coastal Mary seed bank. I'm the one who saved the Pink Kush strain from the busted grow op. 30 years ago. So I'm interested in what has become of my strain. So I ordered some seeds from this guy. The pictures looked good. They were delivered fast but there was some white seeds in the packages. There was 1 white seed in each pack of 5 and there was another light brown one. Contacted Coastal Mary who said WeedaSec pack their own packages. WeedaSec didn't answer my emails. He's only in it for the money, why else would you send white seeds? I started 11 seeds and got 4 females and 7 males. The males weren't very good, had no smell with the rub test and not sticky, and were thrown out. The plants grew well but were a little stretchy. I started wondering where's the resin... for 2 weeks... before they started to produce it at 5 weeks. They usually start after week 3. The buds turned out to be light and fluffy with "not" much resin. I am disappointed with these seeds. Nothing like the "Real Pink Kush" which I'll show at the end of the diary. Don't buy anything from this guy... You'll be disappointed as I was. The pics don't lie. I don't think this guy knows what he's doing. I gave 3 stars because there is some smell and some resin that I can make kief with. Thanks for looking in. Be Great. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of the Pink Kush by WeedaSec diary. Was rather disappointed with this stuff. I've got the real Pink Kush to compare with. And it didn't rate. The final dry weight, for 4 plants is... 466 g. Sorta like what I would get when I was growing with HPS lights again. not what I should get with LED's Don't buy anything from this guy. He doesn't know what he's doing. You will waste your money. He's just in it for m the money, why else would he send out white seeds. These plant were nothing like the pictures that advertised them. He's a "scammer" so don't but anything. He'll send you some shity seeds and take your money. I've also showed a cross I made with my Pink Kush. It's called Pinoal Kush and see my diary on them. Just sorta bragging and to show I can produce a good strain. My friend ChuckWagon420 is growing some of my seed crosses. So I wanted to show him my Blackberry Moonrocks in hydro, so he knows what he might expect from his seeds. OK. Thanks for looking in. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Hello. Thanks for the love. I've made a cross - Pink Kush x Panty Punch and still have seeds of those if your interested. My friend Chuckwaggon420 is running some now and doing a diary on them. I've called it Pink Punch Kush. He's also running some Mooning Panties of mine too. Check them out and privet message me if your interested in my seeds. I've seen another Pink Kush I'm thinking of trying. It's from the Reefer Man site That's reefermanseeds.com Have a look at the Ultimate Pink Kush. Reefer man has been around a long time and has made some great world class strains. He's also the one who got one of my clones in the late 1990's and named it Pink Kush. I was still calling it Hash Plant at that time. So he has the original genetics too. So he would be a great one to get seeds from. I was also looking at Growers Choice seeds and they have a Pink Kush too, and Barney's farms also has one. Some how a clone of the Pink Kush made it all the way to Europe. Amazing. Chuck.

Pink kush I first tried many years ago at Popeye's coffeeshop in Amsterdam. The owner frequently would have a hooka or shisha pipe of it on the go. Often he would pass a pipe and ask if you wanted to have a go. I never ever said no. Again another of the classic strains I rate over most modern. He used to do a vanilla kush at times. That was a treat too.

@Beadle420, The pink kush was the best plant I've grown. I'm so glad it made it to Europe. I'm so glad I found/took it, that day, at the busted grow op, 30 years ago. The strongest plant I've grown. Used to give the best head rush when I stood up. Ended up on the ground a couple of times. The best!!!

@Chuckwaggon420, Thanks Bud. Yes, I know you'll do well. There's some good genetics in the stuff I sent you. I saw another Pink Kush I want to try... The old Reefer Man changed his name to Scott Family Farms and they have what looks like a good one. Thanks Bud. Best wishes for your holidays and for you and your family.

Did you ever read the UK comic the VIZ? It would never ever be allowed nowadays but I miss that type of humour.

@Chuckwaggon420, There are web sites for used stuff in your city. Mine is called usedvictoria.ca The person I got it off had been sponsored and had 2 grows with it. I got a good price on a almost new light. When I got it, it hadn't been released to the public yet. I can dim it down to 20% for seedlings. Chuck.

@Chuckwaggon420, Hi Buddy. I start with filtered water. If the filter can take out things like lead and mercury then it will take out some fungus spores. I think the biggest problem for the seeds is the Pythium Root Rot fungus. The spores are everywhere and chlorine doesn't kill them, so filter them out. I add the HP for extra oxygen to help and it cleans the water too. It also helps to break down the membrane so the seeds will slip right out of their shells. I add a pinch of cinnamon because it's anti-fungal to start with and it has the same properties as cloning gel. If the seeds are older I will add some cloning gel to the water for a little extra umph for the seeds. I've had pretty good sucuess with older seeds with this method. Best wishes. Chuck.
