Hello from week 3 of flower! The buds are getting fat, sticky, and stinky Unfortunately there are thrips, I noticed the other day. Caught a lot on sticky traps, pulled off some of the worst looking leafs, and watered with some BT and BB for IPM. Don’t really want to spray anything at this stage of flower. 🐛 I’m hoping the plant can fight them off so hopefully I don’t have to smoke too many bugs! Or else this might be a batch for weibles

Howdy I got thrips! The question is, what would you do at this stage of flower?

One issue with predatory mites in late flower is they can get stuck in the sticky trichomes. There is no easy solution. One option would be to use a contact kill pesticide but wipe it on the big fan leaves where they hang out vs spray, it would knock the adults dead and doing that multiple times till harvest would keep them in check. The risk of it touching the buds is the main draw back. but some pesticides have a short half life and are gone by the time you need to harvest so any of they rated for use in flower could work. just don't spray. wipe/paint it on the leaves. Sticky traps are best static options with no issues of making the buds weird with chemicals or mites. Can also treat the soil line with some DE or spray on some pesticide. this way the young ones coming out of the soil will be targeted. BTi/BTk I think targets the thrips in the soil so that's a easy and safe method of killing them. Use a strong concentration of it. Nematodes are also an option. This is also a good lesson on having some form of IPM or integrated pest management system in place. Introduce the mites/BTi early in veg so they can chill out and wait for a tasty meal. I saw some thrip dmg on my outdoor plants and got a bunch of mites in little sachets, they cleared em all up but again not in bloom was in early veg.

Looking good over here! Still dealing with thrips but I think they are getting better, or at least not worse! Using BT and BB every other watering, alternating with nutrients. The color on the mystery plant is turning a beautiful purple

Howdy, im about to enter week 7 of flower (maybe 8? One plant started a bit before I flipped I think from coming inside from outside). Should I stop feeding and flush? Or feed a couple more times before flushing? What would you do? Thanks!

Stop feeding now and give just plain water, in normal amounts and at normal intervals until harvest time.........the plant will "flush" itself naturally once you stop giving fertilizers. There is no need to drown your plants with gallons of water, this does nothing special and can even be harmful.

You've got some beautiful flower there. Well done. Personally, I'd leave it another week. Hard to tell as pics are a little blurry, but first shot looks like the calyx still have some clear left in the otherwise cloudy trichomes. As for the volume of calyx' they look great, but could probably swell a little more. Third pic shows a fair few white pistils (could be strain specific to throw new pistils out at end of harvest), personally I'd wait for more of them to be browned and shrivelled. Just my 2 cents, but given you're under the reccommended time to flower - I'd feel confident pushing a bit further (as suggested harvest windows are typically shorter than necessary so seed-companies can profit further). Might be good to know what kind of strain you're growing - what medium and wheyther it's photoperiod vs. autoflower. Happy Growing and Congrats on the great work so far!

They look done, clear is still peak THC. cloudy is a bit of degradation and amber is a lot. I would chop now and begin the process of harverting, curing ext.
