Well into flowering now but a bit slower than the gorilla glue in the same room . I'm concerned not enough light is getting through to the middle. I defoliated at the start of flower but maybe not enough . Will I cause harm if I start removing some leaves?

Some newer leaves from older stems looks almost bright green and paper thin comparrd to the deep green older leaves and some of the ones top look slightly discoloured at the tips. This is an af at week 7 of veg. No signs of flower as far as I know.

Hey Gteh420, Sgtoso is right, the newer growth is actually pre flower actually, so it's a good sign. should look like that before flowering, nothing to worry about. To induce flowering, keep the lights, or use both lights, cut out the veg nutes and switch to bloom nutrients, and use 10ml of molasses in your next feed, hopefully the nutrients will kickstart flowering. If they dont then change the light schedule, sometimes autos are not autos , it's rare but it does happen every now and then. You're seeing pre flowering so hopefully that's not your case and you can maintain the auto's light schedule. I would be careful using less light wattage as this might stress the plant and lead to hermie. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Wondering if I should further defoliated this plant. Not sure how much to remove. It is an auto but it grows aggressively. defoliated twice before and it always came back with a vengence but that was during veg Should I remove all leaves on the lower part? Leave just bud sites?

You already have fairly defoliate the lady you switch 2 weeks ago and she will probably stop to stretch soon so except if the lower leaves are blocking light there is no need to remove them and no need to defoliate more than that as she's not going to bounce back each time as her life time is limited by the auto genes. Let her start her flowering 😊

New growth is usually a brighter green. Lower, older leaves will be darker unless they're not getting light in which case they'll wilt and die. Best to snip those off at the base of the fan leaf and let the remaining stem fall off on it's own. I get discoloration on the tips when feeding too many nutrients. Not sure why she isn't flowering yet. Might want to change the light schedule in case it isn't an autoflower.

@Gteh420, I may not have articulated correctly. When I trim my fan leaves off, I trim them off close to the leaf and not the stalk. It causes less stress on the plant and from my experience sometimes the cut doesn't go as well when close to the stalk and then it rips away like a thread from a sweater. I hear you on the light issue. One has to do what must be done. I've had some autos go 6 weeks before pre-flowering so it isn't uncommon. Best of luck!

@Sgtoso, thanks that's what I was thinking. So cut off the weaker ones not getting light. I thought about them not being auto but I'll wait another week or two. Im vegging a photo plant under same light that is only 3 weeks and 4 nodes

As for lighting, i switched to an hlg 135 3500k. Out of the box it outputs 120. Should I increase it to Max? Just using it for 2 plants I. 2x4x6tall
