🌱 Start: 17.07. 🌱
Hello everyone! This is my very first grow and I'm thrilled to share every step with you! 🎉 I'd appreciate any tips you might have to help me achieve the best results! 😊
Equipment:
I've geared up with an Indoor Grow Kit from MarsHydro along with some BioBizz supplements to ensure my plants get the best care. 🌿
🌼 Seeds:
I opted for Fast Buds seeds after hearing great things about them. They were delivered super fast—just two days! I’m especially excited to test the C4 strain. 🚀
I've begun soaking the seeds and setting up my space. Eagerly awaiting the transition to the next stage in a day or two! 🌱
📅 Update: 19.07.
All three of my C4 seeds sprouted 1-2 cm within just 1.5 days! 🌱 It’s often recommended that autoflowers be planted directly into their final home, so I'm following that advice.
I'm working on improving the air circulation in my tent to ensure the best environment for growth. 🌬️
I'm currently using 0.2L cups with big holes over the sprouts to maintain higher humidity during their initial two weeks. 💧
🎉 UPDATE 22.07. - THEY ARE ALIVE 🎉
My C4 sprouted on 20.07., and I'm overjoyed to soon share photos and a video of my little green buddy! 📸🎥
PS: My plant enjoys 2 hours of chill jazz music every day! HAHA 🎷🎶
🌱UPDATE Day 3 🌱- The plant is alive and has already grown to 3-5 cm!
In these early stages, I placed a plastic cup over the plant to boost humidity. It's been hot, and even with a humidifier, I battled very low humidity for two days. Nonetheless, the plant looks healthy and vibrant. 🌱
🌱 UPDATE Day 4. 🌱 - The plant is thirsty - when should I start fertilizing?
I last watered it on Day 4 with 200-300 ml, and the soil is dry again today. I'll give it another 200-300 ml, but I'm going to research whether this watering ratio is optimal for my 11 L pot. It's growing well, and the serrated leaves are becoming more robust. 🌿
🌱 30.07. - Day 8: Today marks the start of the second week of growth for my C4 plant, which is thriving. Currently, I water it every three days with 350-400 ml, tailored to its needs and the pot size. I'm planning to start fertilizing by the end of this week.
I've noticed that I need to be careful not to get the leaves wet during watering, as the leaf color seems to lighten where water droplets touch.
To prevent scorching, I've dimmed my lamp to 65%, ensuring gentle care for the young plant. 🌿
🌱 Update 01.08 - Day 10
🚨 Near Disaster with My C4 Plant! 🚨
A mishap occurred today when I was setting up yellow sticky traps to ward off pests like fungus gnats. While positioning one near the plant, it accidentally tipped over, tearing off a third of one leaf. 😢
Leaf Condition:
The damaged leaf still looks okay. From what I’ve learned, it's best to leave it as long as it remains green. If it begins to yellow and wilt, I'll cut it off. 🍂
General Plant Growth:
Overall, the C4 plant is doing well. The humidity is stable at around 65%, and the pH is at 7, which I'm currently adjusting to 6 using Biobizz pH Down. 💧
🌱 Update 04.08. - Day 13
The plant is flourishing! Today, I administered its first dose of BioBizz Grow (0.8 ml per liter, pH 6.3) and watered it with 400 ml.
I'm relieved to report that the plant with the broken leaf has recovered beautifully! 🌿🌟
🌱 Update 05.08. - Day 14
The second week concludes today, and I'm excited by the rapid growth! 🌱 Considering trying Low-Stress Training (LST) next week, though I'm a bit apprehensive since it's my first grow and I want to avoid errors. 🤞
This Week's Stats:
Temperature: 24-27°C 🌡️
Humidity: 55-65% 💧
Soil pH: 6.5 📏
Nutrient Dosage: 0.8ml per liter of water 💧
Lighting: 18/6 schedule, 150W - dimmed to 70%, 60cm distance from plant 💡
🌱 Update 06.08. - Day 15
The third week of growth has begun, and I'm excited to see my C4 plant thriving. 🌿
The plant looks healthy, and I'm considering doing some LST (Low-Stress Training) to enhance its shape. However, I'm a bit nervous about possibly damaging it. 😬
This week, I plan to increase the BioBizz Grow slightly to encourage more robust growth. 🌱✨
🌱 Update 09.08. - Day 18
Today was the second time fertilizing 🌿, this time with 1.1ml per liter of watering water 💧.
I gave my C4 plant 500ml of water. Prior to that, it hadn't been watered for 2 days 📅, as this strain prefers it on the drier side 🌵.
Temperature 🌡️ & humidity 💧 remain stable, averaging 59%, and currently cause no issues for me.
The C4 plant is growing well and has started to grow taller over the last two days 📈.
🌱 Day 21 - Last Day of Week 3
Today marks the last day of the third week of my grow! This week, I used BioBizz Grow only once with 1ml and watered the C4 plant with 500ml, including today's 500ml of water. 💧🌿
Yesterday, I considered waiting another day before watering, making it two days without water. However, I noticed the leaves were drooping today, so I slightly reduced the light and watered the plant. ☀️🔻💦
For the upcoming period, I'll switch back to watering every two days. 📅
Weekly Summary:

🌱 Day 29 - First Day of Flowering Phase 🌱
Hey everyone! 🌿 I'm super excited to finally enter the flowering phase of my first grow! I have to admit, I was quite surprised to see that the plant had already been in pre-flower for three days and are developing really well. 🌸
Current Conditions for the Flowering Phase:
Watered today with 800ml + 1ml/L BioBizz Bloom 💧🌿
Humidity: 50-55% 💧
Light: 100% intensity, 50cm distance, 16 hours light, 8 hours dark 💡🌙
Current Issues:
I'm dealing with a few small yellow spots on the leaves, which seem to be caused by a calcium and magnesium deficiency.
🌱 Day 36 - Second Week of Flowering 🌱
Hello growing friends! 🌿 Today marks the beginning of the second week of the flowering phase, and I’m very happy with how the buds are developing so far. 🌸✨
Since this is my first grow, I’m truly amazed by how fascinating these plants are. It’s an exciting journey! 🌱🤩
Last week, I struggled with yellow leaves and a calcium & magnesium deficiency. Fortunately, with the help of BioBizz Calmag, things are slowly improving. 🍃💪
Currently, I’ve set the humidity to 45%—according to my research, this is ideal for minimizing the risk of mold. 💧🚫
🌱 Day 42 - Last Day of the Second Flowering Week 🌱
Hello everyone! 🌿 Today marks the last day of the second week of flowering, and I’ve made some updates to my routine. I’ve increased the nutrients to BioBizz Grow (3ml), BioBizz Bloom (2ml), and BioBizz TopMax (1.5ml). The plants are growing well and have recovered from the calcium deficiency. 🍃💪 I’m continuing to add a bit of BioBizz CalMag to prevent any future deficiencies. 🌱✨
This week, I also added some soil to the pots, as the soil level had flattened out quite a bit. I topped up each pot with about 1.5 liters of soil.
🌱 Day 43 - Beginning of the Third Flowering Week 🌱
Hello grow friends! 🌿 Today marks the start of the third week of the flowering phase. This week, I’m trying to adjust my nutrients a bit. I plan to slightly increase BioBizz Grow, as well as BioBizz Bloom, according to the feeding schedule. 🌱💧
I’m continuing to prune and thin out the plants a little each day, aiming to keep them stress-free. ✂️😊 The terpenes and buds are developing wonderfully so far, but I’m still struggling with very high humidity levels. 🌡️💦
Since my grow setup is on the second floor and we’re currently experiencing humid temperatures here in Germany, it’s been a challenge. I’m trying to reduce the humidity from 62% down to 50% during the day, but it’s proving difficult. 🌬️📉
I’ll keep you updated on how things progress! 🌿✨
🌱 Day 47 - Everything is Going Well 🌱
Watering and Nutrients
Today, I watered and fed the plant again. 🌿💧 Each plant received 1 liter, which is about 10% of the pot's volume. The plant is responding well to the nutrients, and growth is steady.
Defoliation and Light Exposure
I’ve done some light defoliation to ensure that every part of the plant gets proper light exposure. ✂️💡 My goal is to avoid any shadowed areas, allowing the buds to develop fully.
Temperature Management
The temperature is still quite high, reaching 27-28°C during the day. 🌡️🔥 I’m finding it difficult to bring it down, but the plant seems to be handling it well. To maintain a healthy environment, I keep both the fan and the exhaust system running on the highest setting, ensuring good air circulation. 🌬️🔄
Humidity Control
Currently, the humidity is sitting at around 45-50%. 💧 It’s not perfect, but I’m monitoring the plant closely and making adjustments as needed.
Careful Defoliation
I continue to remove one or two leaves each day to minimize stress on the plant. 🍃🌿 This slow, careful defoliation ensures that the plant stays healthy while making sure all buds have access to light.
Guard Dogs on Duty
My dogs took a peek into the grow tent today and are now keeping a watchful eye over the plant. 🐕🌱 They’re doing a great job of “guarding” it! 🐾
I hope you enjoyed this update! I’ll continue to keep you all informed, and don’t forget—I post daily update pictures of the plant! 📸🌿 Stay tuned for more!
🌱 Day 50 - First Day of Week 8 🌱
Hello, Grow Friends!
My plant is doing well, and it’s amazing to see visible progress every few hours. 🌱✨ The buds are in full throttle, and I feel like the plant is now needing more water as the pots are drying out faster. 💧
Watering:
I’m still watering with 1L every two days. 💦 The dosage of BioBizz Grow and BioBizz Bloom has been increased according to the BioBizz feeding schedule. The pH of the water remains constant at 6.0. ⚖️💧
Temperature & Humidity:
Luckily, the weather in Germany is cooling down, so I no longer have to deal with temperatures of up to 30°C in the tent. 🌡️🍂 I’m expecting temperatures to settle between 18-23°C now that we’re in September, and humidity should stabilize around 50-55%. This will create perfect conditions for the upcoming drying process. 🍃✨
Plant Health:
The plant is looking good overall. 🌿 I did have some calcium and magnesium deficiency symptoms recently, but I’ve managed to get that under control with CalMag. 💪 I’m continuing to carefully remove any leaves that are noticeably blocking light to the buds and hindering photosynthesis. 🍃✂️
Vibes:
Every day, my plant still enjoys an hour of Lo-fi Jazz music. 🎶🌱 I think it helps set the perfect growing atmosphere. 🎷
🌱 Day 56 - Last Day of Week 8 🌱
Final Feeding:
Today marks the last day of the fourth flowering week and the last day I’ll be feeding the plant. 🌿💧 From now on, the plant will receive only water for the final 14 days to flush out the remaining nutrients from the soil. 🚿
As a beginner, I’m unsure if two weeks without nutrients will be enough for the plant to finish properly. There’s a part of me that worries about potentially wasting its full potential by skipping nutrient periods. 🤔🌱
However, I’ve decided to stick with the plan—after 14 days of just water, I’ll harvest the plant. ✂️🍃
Humidity & Temperature:
This week, the weather has cooled down significantly, and I no longer have to struggle with high temperatures. 🌡️🍂 The temperature ranges from 19-23°C during the day, and humidity sits between 49-56%.
I think these are ideal conditions to bring out the purple hues in the buds. 🍇✨
Defoliation & Plant Care:
I’ve finished the final defoliation and trimming of the plant this week. 🍃✂️ From now until harvest, I’ll avoid making any more changes or interventions, as I want to keep the plant stress-free and allow the bud production to progress smoothly. 🌱💪
Trichome Observation:
As a beginner, I’ve started checking the trichomes this week, but I’m finding it challenging to distinguish between clear and milky trichomes. 🔍💎 I plan to harvest when I see 90% milky and 10% amber trichomes. 🌿✨
I’ll keep you all updated next week, and don’t forget—there are new pictures every day! 📸🌱
🌱 Day 57 - Start of the Second-to-Last Flowering Week 🌱
Hello, Grow Friends!
Today marks the start of the second-to-last flowering week—Week 9 overall, and Week 5 of flowering. 🌿 I’m getting more and more excited as my first grow nears its end. As I approach harvest, I’ve decided, based on my research, to stop feeding nutrients and stick to just pH-adjusted water for the final two weeks. 💧⚖️
Watering Routine:
I’ll keep the same watering schedule—1 liter every two days, which is about 10% of the pot volume. 🌱💧 This should be enough to flush out the remaining nutrients, ensuring a clean finish for the plant.
Temperature & Humidity:
The temperature remains stable between 19-23°C, which I believe is ideal for this stage of the grow. 🌡️🍂 No more high temperatures to worry about! The humidity is fluctuating between 45-58%, and I’m keeping a close eye on it to stay below 60%. 💧🔍 Everything seems on track for now. 🌿
Plant Health & Growth:
The plant still looks very healthy overall. 🌱💪 However, I’ve noticed that in the past three days, there haven’t been any visible changes in the size of the buds. 🤔 It could just be that I’m not seeing the growth clearly, but the only noticeable change is the daily opening of new flower calyxes. 🌸
Harvest Preparation:
I’m already getting my equipment ready for drying after harvest. 🛠️ Once it’s time to cut, I’ll be hanging the plant to dry for the first 10 days. 🌿✂️ I want to make sure everything is set for a smooth drying process.
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, daily photos of the plant will be posted! 📸🌱
Day 62 - Last-Minute Decisions with Urgent Changes 🌱
Hello, my grow friends! Due to the trichome pictures I took on Day 61—which you can check out too—I’ve made an unexpected decision to harvest my plant a bit earlier than planned and make some changes.
🌿 Watering and Flushing:
The last time I watered was on Day 61, using all the usual nutrients at the doses I mentioned before. But after seeing the trichome pictures, I decided to start a light flush today. I gave the plant 4 liters of plain water to begin flushing and will now only water lightly on Day 64. After that, no more water until harvest on Day 67.
🌑 Dark Period:
From Day 66 to Day 67, I plan to keep the plant in darkness. I’m not entirely sure if this will make a difference, but I’m curious to try it out.
✂️ Defoliation:
The plant is doing well, and I’ve done a thorough defoliation. I removed all leaves that aren’t sugar leaves or directly attached to the buds to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of mold as I approach the end of the grow.
💭 Trimming Decisions:
I’m still undecided about whether to do a wet trim or a dry trim. Based on what I’ve read, especially regarding the yield from trim, I’m leaning towards dry trimming, as it might give me more usable trim material.
I can feel the plant entering its final phase, and I’m getting really excited about the results and what the next few days will bring. Remember, I post a video update every day. If you have any tips or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
Until next time! 🌱
Day 64 - Beginning of the Final Flowering Week 🌱
Hello, my grow friends! We’re entering the last flowering week, and it looks like I’ll be harvesting the plant around Friday, which will be roughly Day 68.
💭 Harvest Decision:
It’s a tough decision because while the buds are still growing, the trichomes in the middle and lower parts of the plant are already about 80% milky and 10% amber. I’ll keep an eye on things and plan to check the trichomes again on Day 65, two days before harvest, to make a final decision.
🌿 Trichome Considerations:
I have a feeling that even after cutting the plant and hanging it upside down to dry, some nutrients might still move into the buds, potentially causing them to swell a bit more. This is something I’m curious to see.
💧 Humidity, Water, and Temperature:
As I mentioned in my last update, I flushed the plant yesterday, just before the start of the final week, with 4 liters of water. This should help flush out any remaining nutrients, and I likely won’t need to water again before harvest since the pots are thoroughly soaked.
The humidity and temperature are holding steady between 52-58% and 20-24°C, which I find ideal. I’ve got my exhaust system and fan running continuously to ensure no mold develops.
📸 Final Updates:
I’ll check in again with an update just before harvest to let you know how things are looking. Remember, I’m posting new pictures and videos of my plant every day.
Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟
It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments!
While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless.
Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process:
1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest
Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying!
2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim
I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison!
3️⃣ Yield Update
Wet, the total came in at 179 grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment.
4️⃣ Curing Plan
The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing.
Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨
As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions.
I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results!
As this long journey comes to an end, I want to thank everyone who followed along. I hope you enjoyed all the content. In that spirit, happy growing, and see you next time! 🌟
