DrLaggis š± Start: 17.07. š±
Hello everyone! This is my very first grow and I'm thrilled to share every step with you! š I'd appreciate any tips you might have to help me achieve the best results! š
Equipment:
I've geared up with an Indoor Grow Kit from MarsHydro along with some BioBizz supplements to ensure my plants get the best care. šæ
š¼ Seeds:
I opted for Fast Buds seeds after hearing great things about them. They were delivered super fastājust two days! Iām particularly excited to test the Grapefruit strain. š
I've begun soaking the seeds and setting up my space. Eagerly awaiting the transition to the next stage in a day or two! š±
š Update: 19.07.
My Grapefruit seeds sprouted 1-2 cm within just 1.5 days! š± Itās often recommended that autoflowers be planted directly into their final home, so I'm following that advice.
I'm working on improving the air circulation in my tent to ensure the best environment for growth. š¬ļø
I'm currently using 0.2L cups with big holes over the sprouts to maintain higher humidity during their initial two weeks. š§
š UPDATE 22.07. - THEY ARE ALIVE š
My Grapefruit sprouted on 20.07., and I'm overjoyed to soon share photos and a video of my little green buddy! šøš„
PS: My plant enjoys 2 hours of chill jazz music every day! HAHA š·š¶

The plant is alive and has already grown to 3-5 cm!
In these early stages, I placed a plastic cup over the plant to boost humidity. It's been hot, and even with a humidifier, I battled very low humidity for two days. Nonetheless, the plant looks healthy and vibrant. š±
š± UPDATE Day 6š±
The plant is thirsty - when should I start fertilizing?
I last watered it on Day 4 with 200-300 ml, and the soil is dry again today. I'll give it another 200-300 ml, but I'm going to research whether this watering ratio is optimal for my 11 L pot. It's growing well, and the serrated leaves are becoming more robust. šæ

DrLaggis š± 30.07. - Day 8:
Today marks the start of the second week of growth for my Grapefruit plant, which is thriving. Currently, I water it every three days with 350-400 ml, tailored to its needs and the pot size. I'm planning to start fertilizing by the end of this week.
I've noticed that I need to be careful not to get the leaves wet during watering, as the leaf color seems to lighten where water droplets touch.
To prevent scorching, I've dimmed my lamp to 65%, ensuring gentle care for the young plant. šæ
š± Update 01.08 - Day 10
šØ Near Disaster with My Grapefruit Plant! šØ
A mishap occurred today when I was setting up yellow sticky traps to ward off pests like fungus gnats. While positioning one near the plant, it accidentally tipped over, tearing off a third of one leaf. š¢
Leaf Condition:
The damaged leaf still looks okay. From what Iāve learned, it's best to leave it as long as it remains green. If it begins to yellow and wilt, I'll cut it off. š
General Plant Growth:
Overall, the Grapefruit plant is doing well. The humidity is stable at around 65%, and the pH is at 7, which I'm currently adjusting to 6 using Biobizz pH Down. š§
š± Update 04.08. - Day 13
The plant is flourishing! Today, I administered its first dose of BioBizz Grow (0.8 ml per liter, pH 6.3) and watered it with 400 ml.
I'm relieved to report that the plant with the broken leaf has recovered beautifully! šæš
š± Update 05.08. - Day 14
The second week concludes today, and I'm excited by the rapid growth! š± Considering trying Low-Stress Training (LST) next week, though I'm a bit apprehensive since it's my first grow and I want to avoid errors. š¤

DrLaggis š± Update 06.08. - Day 15
The third week of growth has begun, and I'm excited to see my Grapefruit plant thriving. šæ
The plant looks healthy, and I'm considering doing some LST (Low-Stress Training) to enhance its shape. However, I'm a bit nervous about possibly damaging it. š¬
This week, I plan to increase the BioBizz Grow slightly to encourage more robust growth. š±āØ
š± Update 09.08. - Day 18
Today was the second time fertilizing šæ, this time with 1.1ml per liter of watering water š§.
I gave my Grapefruit plant 500ml of water. Prior to that, it hadn't been watered for 2 days š , as this strain prefers it on the drier side šµ.
Temperature š”ļø & humidity š§ remain stable, averaging 59%, and currently cause no issues for me.
The Grapefruit plant is growing well and has started to grow taller over the last two days š.
š± Day 21 - Last Day of Week 3
Today marks the last day of the third week of my grow! This week, I used BioBizz Grow only once with 1ml and watered the Grapefruit plant with 500ml, including today's 500ml of water. š§šæ
Yesterday, I considered waiting another day before watering, making it two days without water. However, I noticed the leaves were drooping today, so I slightly reduced the light and watered the plant. āļøš»š¦
For the upcoming period, I'll switch back to watering every two days. š

DrLaggis š± Day 29 - First Day of Flowering Phase š±
Hey everyone! šæ I'm super excited to finally enter the flowering phase of my first grow! I have to admit, I was quite surprised to see that the plant had already been in pre-flower for three days and are developing really well. šø
Current Conditions for the Flowering Phase:
Watered today with 800ml + 1ml/L BioBizz Bloom š§šæ
Humidity: 50-55% š§
Light: 100% intensity, 50cm distance, 16 hours light, 8 hours dark š”š
Current Issues:
I'm dealing with a few small yellow spots on the leaves, which seem to be caused by a calcium and magnesium deficiency.
DrLaggis š± Day 43 - Beginning of the Third Flowering Week š±
Hello grow friends! šæ Today marks the start of the third week of the flowering phase. This week, Iām trying to adjust my nutrients a bit. I plan to slightly increase BioBizz Grow, as well as BioBizz Bloom, according to the feeding schedule. š±š§
Iām continuing to prune and thin out the plants a little each day, aiming to keep them stress-free. āļøš The terpenes and buds are developing wonderfully so far, but Iām still struggling with very high humidity levels. š”ļøš¦
Since my grow setup is on the second floor and weāre currently experiencing humid temperatures here in Germany, itās been a challenge. Iām trying to reduce the humidity from 62% down to 50% during the day, but itās proving difficult. š¬ļøš
Iāll keep you updated on how things progress! šæāØ
š± Day 47 - Everything is Going Well š±
Watering and Nutrients
Today, I watered and fed the plant again. šæš§ Each plant received 1 liter, which is about 10% of the pot's volume. The plant is responding well to the nutrients, and growth is steady.
Defoliation and Light Exposure
Iāve done some light defoliation to ensure that every part of the plant gets proper light exposure. āļøš” My goal is to avoid any shadowed areas, allowing the buds to develop fully.
Temperature Management
The temperature is still quite high, reaching 27-28°C during the day. š”ļøš„ Iām finding it difficult to bring it down, but the plant seems to be handling it well. To maintain a healthy environment, I keep both the fan and the exhaust system running on the highest setting, ensuring good air circulation. š¬ļøš
Humidity Control
Currently, the humidity is sitting at around 45-50%. š§ Itās not perfect, but Iām monitoring the plant closely and making adjustments as needed.
Careful Defoliation
I continue to remove one or two leaves each day to minimize stress on the plant. ššæ This slow, careful defoliation ensures that the plant stays healthy while making sure all buds have access to light.
Guard Dogs on Duty
My dogs took a peek into the grow tent today and are now keeping a watchful eye over the plant. šš± Theyāre doing a great job of āguardingā it! š¾
I hope you enjoyed this update! Iāll continue to keep you all informed, and donāt forgetāI post daily update pictures of the plant! šøšæ Stay tuned for more!

DrLaggis š± Day 50 - First Day of Week 8 š±
Hello, Grow Friends!
My plant is doing well, and itās amazing to see visible progress every few hours. š±āØ The buds are in full throttle, and I feel like the plant is now needing more water as the pots are drying out faster. š§
Watering:
Iām still watering with 1L every two days. š¦ The dosage of BioBizz Grow and BioBizz Bloom has been increased according to the BioBizz feeding schedule. The pH of the water remains constant at 6.0. āļøš§
Temperature & Humidity:
Luckily, the weather in Germany is cooling down, so I no longer have to deal with temperatures of up to 30°C in the tent. š”ļøš Iām expecting temperatures to settle between 18-23°C now that weāre in September, and humidity should stabilize around 50-55%. This will create perfect conditions for the upcoming drying process. šāØ
Plant Health:
The plant is looking good overall. šæ I did have some calcium and magnesium deficiency symptoms recently, but Iāve managed to get that under control with CalMag. šŖ Iām continuing to carefully remove any leaves that are noticeably blocking light to the buds and hindering photosynthesis. šāļø
Vibes:
Every day, my plant still enjoys an hour of Lo-fi Jazz music. š¶š± I think it helps set the perfect growing atmosphere. š·
š± Day 56 - Last Day of Week 8 š±
Final Feeding:
Today marks the last day of the fourth flowering week and the last day Iāll be feeding the plant. šæš§ From now on, the plant will receive only water for the final 14 days to flush out the remaining nutrients from the soil. šæ
As a beginner, Iām unsure if two weeks without nutrients will be enough for the plant to finish properly. Thereās a part of me that worries about potentially wasting its full potential by skipping nutrient periods. š¤š±
However, Iāve decided to stick with the planāafter 14 days of just water, Iāll harvest the plant. āļøš
Humidity & Temperature:
This week, the weather has cooled down significantly, and I no longer have to struggle with high temperatures. š”ļøš The temperature ranges from 19-23°C during the day, and humidity sits between 49-56%.
I think these are ideal conditions to bring out the purple hues in the buds. šāØ
Defoliation & Plant Care:
Iāve finished the final defoliation and trimming of the plant this week. šāļø From now until harvest, Iāll avoid making any more changes or interventions, as I want to keep the plant stress-free and allow the bud production to progress smoothly. š±šŖ
Trichome Observation:
As a beginner, Iāve started checking the trichomes this week, but Iām finding it challenging to distinguish between clear and milky trichomes. šš I plan to harvest when I see 90% milky and 10% amber trichomes. šæāØ
Iāll keep you all updated next week, and donāt forgetāthere are new pictures every day! šøš±

DrLaggis š± Day 57 - Start of the Second-to-Last Flowering Week š±
Hello, Grow Friends!
Today marks the start of the second-to-last flowering weekāWeek 9 overall, and Week 5 of flowering. šæ Iām getting more and more excited as my first grow nears its end. As I approach harvest, Iāve decided, based on my research, to stop feeding nutrients and stick to just pH-adjusted water for the final two weeks. š§āļø
Watering Routine:
Iāll keep the same watering scheduleā1 liter every two days, which is about 10% of the pot volume. š±š§ This should be enough to flush out the remaining nutrients, ensuring a clean finish for the plant.
Temperature & Humidity:
The temperature remains stable between 19-23°C, which I believe is ideal for this stage of the grow. š”ļøš No more high temperatures to worry about! The humidity is fluctuating between 45-58%, and Iām keeping a close eye on it to stay below 60%. š§š Everything seems on track for now. šæ
Plant Health & Growth:
The plant still looks very healthy overall. š±šŖ However, Iāve noticed that in the past three days, there havenāt been any visible changes in the size of the buds. š¤ It could just be that Iām not seeing the growth clearly, but the only noticeable change is the daily opening of new flower calyxes. šø
Harvest Preparation:
Iām already getting my equipment ready for drying after harvest. š ļø Once itās time to cut, Iāll be hanging the plant to dry for the first 10 days. šæāļø I want to make sure everything is set for a smooth drying process.
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, daily photos of the plant will be posted! šøš±

DrLaggis Day 64 - Beginning of the Final Flowering Week š±
Hello, my grow friends! Weāre entering the last flowering week, and it looks like Iāll be harvesting the plant around Friday, which will be roughly Day 68.
š Harvest Decision:
Itās a tough decision because while the buds are still growing, the trichomes in the middle and lower parts of the plant are already about 80% milky and 10% amber. Iāll keep an eye on things and plan to check the trichomes again on Day 65, two days before harvest, to make a final decision.
šæ Trichome Considerations:
I have a feeling that even after cutting the plant and hanging it upside down to dry, some nutrients might still move into the buds, potentially causing them to swell a bit more. This is something Iām curious to see.
š§ Humidity, Water, and Temperature:
As I mentioned in my last update, I flushed the plant yesterday, just before the start of the final week, with 4 liters of water. This should help flush out any remaining nutrients, and I likely wonāt need to water again before harvest since the pots are thoroughly soaked.
The humidity and temperature are holding steady between 52-58% and 20-24°C, which I find ideal. Iāve got my exhaust system and fan running continuously to ensure no mold develops.
šø Final Updates:
Iāll check in again with an update just before harvest to let you know how things are looking. Remember, Iām posting new pictures and videos of my plant every day.
š± Day 70 - Last Day Before Harvest š±
Hey Grow-Friends! š
Today marks the final day before harvest, and I couldnāt be more excited! As planned, Iāve kept the plant in darkness for the last 48 hours and havenāt watered it for 6 days. My goal is to let it sit in the dark until this evening, when the time finally comes to chop it down. šæāļø
Drying Decisions š¬ļø
After much research and considering several factorsāespecially the high humidity in my tentāIāve decided to go with wet trimming instead of dry trimming. I know dry trimming is often recommended for better bud quality and taste, but my main concern is avoiding mold at all costs. So, to play it safe, Iāll wet trim the buds, get them into the right size, and then place them in a drying net for about 7 days.
Timing Concerns ā³
Iām still figuring out the best timing for transferring the buds into curing jars. Since Iām wet trimming, I wonāt be able to rely on the classic āstem snap testā to check dryness. But weāll figure that out as we go along!
Final Reflections š
Itās been an amazing journey, and although I could push the grow a little further, I believe this is the perfect time to harvest. Given my upcoming personal plans, it feels right to finish up now.
I canāt wait to report back with the harvest update soon! šæ Stay tuned, and as always, thanks for following along!
Grapefruit Auto really surprised me.
Its citrus and berry aroma is intense, and Iāve rarely encountered such a terpene profile. The flavor is bold, making for a super smooth and enjoyable smoke.
Watching this plant grow was fascinating.
It turned into a true jungle tower.
What was also amazing is how frosty the plant got during flowering. Even the leftover trim will produce some potent results, making it a double win for me!
I highly recommend this strain to anyone looking for an easy, relaxed grow and a fruity, smooth smoke. Iāll definitely grow it again - I love this strain!!

DrLaggis HELLO GROWING FRIENDS - Please look at my Aftermovie Growvideo, which cost me about 4 hours to create. hope you like it!
Day 72: The Finale šæš
Itās finally time. My very first grow is coming to an endāat least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I canāt believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so muchāfrom nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. Iām absolutely hooked and canāt wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments!
While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care Iāve put into this grow is visible, and Iām pretty proud of the results. Iāll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to š ), but the experience was priceless.
Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process:
1ļøā£ Dark Phase Before Harvest
Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying!
2ļøā£ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim
I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. Iāve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, Iāll try a dry trim for comparison!
3ļøā£ Yield Update
Wet, the total came in at 209 grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment.
4ļøā£ Curing Plan
The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, theyāll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once theyāre fully cured, but Iāve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say itās pretty amazing.
Final Thoughts on My Grow š±āØ
As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions.
Iām really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okayāI canāt fully gauge it yetābut Iām sure thereās more potential to unlock. Iāve gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didnāt. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. Iām incredibly proud of my first results!
As this long journey comes to an end, I want to thank everyone who followed along. I hope you enjoyed all the content. In that spirit, happy growing, and see you next time! š
