08/27: This has been very weird. Two seeds, one blew up as fast as I have ever seen. The other is growing as slow as I have ever seen. I only wanted to take one of these to flower. And so I am not disappointed, but it is a very unusual consistency. Ill continue to let the little one grow for a couple weeks, out of curiosity. But it will not be transplanted when i ultimately move the big one to it’s final pot.
09/03: They are doing fine, I currently have them in the same tent as my other grow, and will be moving them to my 2x4 in the next couple of days.
Ill be running these with a new nutrient stack that i am not yet familiar with, and will follow the feeding chart, adjusting as needed.
One of these is still a little runt and has not grown much height at all. It will likely just stay in that small cup all the way through flower, assuming that i even let it finish at all. I had only planned to take one of them to flower anyway.
09/08: Today i decided to get in an early topping. I am going to transplant her to a final autopot in a couple of days and wanted to get this stress out of the way. She is looking a little irritated as is. She is in the 2x4 now and i am not able to maintain higher than 55% humidity in this tent using a cheap humidifier. Probably would be worth grabbing a better one for this tent. But she will be in flower in a couple of weeks and then the lower humidity will not be a problem, so i think ill just roll with it.
09/10: The are both still much behind where i would expect them to be right now. I think maybe this strain just produces much smaller plants than im used to? Not sure. The run is actually starting to look as big as the other, just shorter.
I havent yet decided if i want to take the little one to flower.
I will be transplanting tomorrow, and will decide then.
09/12: I transplanted one today. Im bot going to repot the little one.
Oddly enough they are both already showing signs of preflower. Admittedly, I have only grown like 4 autoflowers ever, but I am very surprised by how soon these are transitioning. And frankly i dont like it. Would have expected another two weeks for veg development before this started. She is going to be a very small plant likely.
09/17: Started flowering already! I am confused By this as i have never had an auto start flowing so soon. Admittedly i have only grown like 3 other autos. But they were well into week 4 before i started showing signs of flower. I think these are going to be tiny little plants.
10/01: they are flowering away. This week i decided to move the one that was still in the cup to an autopot. Ive never transplanted during flower before so will see how well it acclimates to the new pot. I did this cause i will have to go out of town for a few days at the end of the month and would jot be around to water it each day.
Both plants are very small. They smell lovely when you get close to them, like fruit. But have little smell when not right on top of them.
10/08: I decided to go ahead and remove the little one from the grow. I decided to do this because i had originally planned to only grow one plant in here so i had room for my clones from my other grow. And so i stuck to my original plan.
This lady is the smallest plant i have ever grown. She is basically just growing 3 large colas. They are each already nearly the size of a soda can and id guess there is still 3-4 weeks left at least. And so i am slightly nervous that they are going to get too big and that mold will ultimately become a problem. Will see how it goes.
10/16: She is basically already done. I changed out the nutrients for water and Flawless Finish today. She is now flushing.
I have been so surprised by this plant. She entered flower and finished quicker than i expected. I will be harvesting her this time next week.
I am not blown away by the smell. i expected it to be more fruiting and sweet, but it just smells mostly earthy at this point.
10/21: Harvest Day!
I did a wet trim today and chopped her down. She will now dry in the same tent at about 60-62% RH.
I was originally disappointed that i ended up with a runt. But she grew into a unique and cute plant. I dont think i could grow another plant that is almost entirely flower and just 3 large colas without having to work pretty hard in the training and flower timing. And so i am kind of glad that it worked out the way it did. I mean just look at her, she is photogenic as hell.
The highest point in height was about 9 inches. The whole plant after trimming and being cut down weighed in at 6.02oz. Id guess that there is nearly an oz of dried bud here.
I feel fortunate to not have dealt with any bud rot considering how this grew. I am not out of the weeds yet as that could still occur during the dry.
Overall i am happy with this grow. It was fast as hell and resulted in a really cute little plant.
10/29: dried after 8 days. 1.16oz. I put it in a jar with a humidity pack and will cure. Might try a smoke from it in a couple weeks.
It smells super fruity with hints of earth and skunk.
