Week 2 begins from seed! Will continue to watch for any Cal Mag issues, otherwise plan to increase the EC ~75-100 per day as tolerated. Will add Pro Roots to fertigations
24/8/2024 – BD day 8, SD day 7. PH 6.32, EC 575 fertigation, run-off good. 26.2C, 67%
25/8/2024 – BD day 9, SD day 8. PH 6.26, EC 650 fertigation, run-off good. Will need to monitor seedling bags to ensure they do not dry out. Placed some material to block air blowing onto seedling bag. Added Pro Roots to fertigation; since fertigation volumes are low will used every other fertigation until volumes 500cc = 1 drop Pro Roots. 26C, 67%
26/8/2024 – BD day 10, SD 9 day. PH 6.23, EC 760 fertigation, run-off good. Added 1 drop Pro Roots to 700ml volume. 26C, 67%. Added support to BD.
27/8/2024 – BD day 11, SD 10 day. PH 6.23/6.31, EC 820/820 fertigation, run-off good. Second set of leaves coming in for both plants, and just starting on third set. Added fertigation at 22:00, coco appeared dried during am session and was dry in evening session.
28/8/2024 – BD day 12, SD 11 day. PH 6.23/6.31, EC 880/820 fertigation, AM great run-off. Third set of leaves just visible. Mixed up Cal Mag 1.5 ml/L to use as foliar spray if needed, only first leaves at the moment show curling. Adjusted fan height. Consider transplanting when leaves reach side of seedling bags and at least 3 sets of leaves, possibly by day 14?
29/8/2024 – Day 13. PH 6.25/6.25 , EC 970/930 added Pro Roots. Both are working on third set of leaves with fourth set barely visible, continue to monitor for any signs of Cal Mag deficiencies. Thinking the start of week 3 from seed to transplant into final container. Growth is finally here and Sour Diesel is going to over take BD, will stick with DB's day moving forward! Slowly increase light dimming after third set of leaves develop.
30/8/2024 – Day 14. PH 6.26/6.32 , EC 1020/1020 , run-off good. Ligths increased to ~45% dimming.
Good growth this week, each day growth is becoming more visiable. Increasing EC was well tolerated this week, both of these strains can handle a heavy feed from what I have read. BD has a lighter colored "vein" in one leaf, it does not appear to be getting worse and new growth appears normal, will monitor.
Considerations for next week - transplant to 19L fabric pots (day 15/16?), slowly increase EC, change to Veg feeding ratios, and LST vs Topping.
