I’m going to try doing journals for each strain of this my 2nd grow. Might repeat pictures for the first few weeks but will focus on each plants once they get some good growth behind them.
Day 4 and nothing above ground yet but tap root spotted when I uncovered some soil
Day 8 and seems like the grow is going well right now, although this strain seems like it’s a day or 2 behind everyone else growth wise. Will be placing in final pot hopefully this week before my surgery
Day 10 growth has me a little worried but hopefully it will turn the corner soon. I have also decided to try the new craze for my light schedule. We are now running 6hrs On/2hrs Off in a cycle of 3 for the day. Still get 18 hours but with more dark period breaks to help improve growth. Will see if this is a craze worth sticking with
Day 11 and moving day. Transplanted into their final 7G fabric bags with Pro HP Soil, 1 Cup Organic Dry Trifecta and a heaping cup of Worm Castings. Now grow baby, grow.
Day 22 no I’m not dead, but I feel like it. Hard to believe I had my wrist surgery a week ago today, but still hurting badly at times. So today’s sight was a nice surprise on progress. Updates will be a bit more frequent this week I think but expect some gaps for the coming weeks I’m still in my cast
Day 25 and still ain’t growing much. Added a cool mist humidifier to the tent as things were only getting dry RH wise with it hovering in the low 20’s. Hopefully this little guy will improve wth more moisture circulating in the tent
Day 29 I think I have enough growth now to allow me to start mainlining like my other plants in this grow. Stem a bit slanted and am trying to straighten/provide stability with my metal anchors that I’m using for the mainlining itself
Day 30 watering day, added some ground up egg shells around the stems too.
Day 34 Wow nice growth from yesterday. I think it might be because I started to water them with Black Strap Molasses like my first grow during its flowering stage. Will probably defoliant some leaves to continue its mainlining
Day 36 everyone loves their watering with Black Strap Molasses. Swear it almost doubles in size the next day
Day 37 watered again with a tablespoon and a half of BSM in my watering can for everyone. I remembered to take before and after my mainlining trim. Now to see what happens for tomorrow because of the watering
Day 40 water/bsm yesterday and once again I get good growth results
Day 41 just a simple watering. Be interesting to see the growth results in comparison to watering with my bsm. Find out tomorrow
Day 43 noticed a few rust like spots on my fan leaves. Look like my ph is a bit high, and decided to keep the bsm out but added some lemon juice to make it a bit more acidic for today’s watering
Day 46 watering day with a hint of lemon juice to make it a little acidic
Day 50 Final week for vegging and then it’s 12/12 baby. Other than that it was just another simple watering today with a hint of lime juice
Day 52 watering day. Just plain simple water
Day 55 water day again.
Day 57 and first day of flowering. Had to water them again and gave them a 1/4 of the nutrients recommended.
Day 59 after I took these pics I decided to water my girl, and started using my Green Planet nutrients once again for this flowering stage
Day 63 Ok a few things I did last night. Fed my girls water with nutrients. Started adding Blackstrap Molasses again (2 Tbsp to my 2 gallon watering can) Plus I went to my local pet store and bought a bag of Alfalfa to help with my Phosphorus problem because my RH just sinks when my humidifier runs out overnight. Plus it’s full of other nutrients that will hopefully slowly leech out and help them grow. Will see in the coming weeks, but it stretched an inch since yesterday
Day 66 not going to lie. I’m worried for my grow (all my plants) The winter is a bitch for growing as it kills my RH and so I bought some Tiger Bloom and some CalMag to right my problems hopefully. I knew I had phosphorus problem but also a nitrogen problem. So cross your fingers everyone that these new nutrients fixes this with today’s watering
Day 70 watering day and again I fed them some Tiger Bloom and CalMag. Seem to be liking their new nutrients from the last watering
Day 73 and again I’m in a worried state. No signs of pistils anywhere and they showed up in my first grow during the first week. This winter grow just seems to keep throwing me a curve ball on this grow. So I did a half watering today, with 2tbsp of epson salt added. Here’s hoping for more photogenic pics tomorrow
Day 78 no you ain’t misreading this week. Yes vegetative week and in fact those 3 flowering weeks were actually veg weeks too. Now to the “beautiful picture” I’m providing. You know me and updating my diary almost everyday. So something had to be up, and well it’s because everyone decided to try and die on me. Kept wondering why no pistils after 3 weeks of flowering, and my crappy ph soil prob reader said my soil was very alkaline. So I diluted a bit of vinegar with water to make it more acidic and well it must of been acidic already. Also turns out that my light timer wasn’t plugged in with my lights, and were running 24/7. Now I have another reason for all my plant health problems and wilting issues. I thought they were all dead (minus Black Sugar) and took my chance and flushed them 2 days ago. Today I went and checked them out and did a lot of pruning. It ain’t pretty BUT I am seeing some new growth in all the turmoil. So looks like I will be vegging for a few more weeks ahead but I’m seeing signs of a Phoenix rising up from the ashes. Just cross your fingers that they continue to do so
Day 92 and watering day with nutrients. I doubled the amount from the previous week but still lower then what Advance Nutrients suggests. I also took 4 clippings last week for clones and 3 are doing well, but 1 looks like it might not survive. Still plenty of time to do so with flowering being weeks away as I await for the other 7 to catch up
Day 96 just a little plain watering today. Added a drop or 2 of Cal Mag and B-52 in with my clones water. Lost one of them already and so I took a 2 new trimmings to try. Been 2 days and looking good so far
Day 99 Watering today and with half the recommended nutrients. Adding B-52 into the mix now and will be interesting to see what it does over the coming days.
Day 102 just a light watering for the new plants and more for this gal. Also added 6ml more Cal-Mag and a teaspoon and a half of blackstrap molasses to my gallon of water. Have a Cal-Mag issue I think with my plant. So when I see a bad leaf, I remove it. Just hoping that issue won’t be, well, an issue in the coming weeks
*forgot to mention I changed out the water on my clones. Added 10 eye drops of Cal-Mag and B-52 to each plant like its first watering. The B-52 seems to keep them greener, longer out of everything I give them. Notice swelling at the stems of all of them and expect new roots to shoot out by the weekend
Day 104 added 3tbsp of dried/grounded up eggshells to the soil tops. Half my plants are showing some calcium deficiency and hoping this will help out in curbing my problem. Will be upping my Cal-Mag with my next watering for sure
Day 106 Watering day with nutrients. Pretty much keeping everything the same as last, but upped my Cal-Mag by 4ml/gal to help hopefully curb my calcium problem seen on half my plants. Think in a few days I can finally start my mainlining too.
Day 108 went ahead and lollipop my plant. I think I did an ok job but time will tell
Day 109 watered again today but with 1tbsps per gallon of Blackstrap Molasses added
Day 112 don’t be concerned about that white stuff. Saw something growing under some leaves on my Fruity Pebbles and sprayed down all my plants with the non toxic silica repellent. (Used in my first grow too) Plus I’ve decided that I will make this a Quadline grow to speed up my vegging time hopefully by a week over my last attempt. Look good so far I think
Day 113 watering day with nutrients today, and I will be keeping them where they sat last week.
Day 117 watering day with 2tbsp of Blackstrap Molasses once again. She was thirsty and the picture shows it
Day 120 Watering day with nutrients. Going to try something new by splitting the total feed over 2 waterings. So half the recommended nutrients today and the other half come Saturday/Sunday
Day 122 watered today as it is a thirsty plant being so big
Day 123 Well I finally remembered to take pics at my outdoor cloning attempt. Just used the soil from one of my failed 2nd grow attempts and made sure it’s been kept super moist. Took some of those lollipop trimmings from a week or so ago and shoved them in there. So today I added 4ml of B-52 and Cal-Mag to 1G water and soaked them. Finally it was warm/sunny enough to not keep them semi sheltered from the elements
Day 125 today was watering day with the 2nd half of the nutrients being added. Brought down my lights a bit too. Just to see if I can get my branches to stretch a little faster
Day 128 watering day and will be doing the same as last week. I will be dividing the nutrients over 2 feeds for the week with a small watering between. Plus I finally got some of my clones to pop some roots and now sit in soil of a few small plastic pots inside the tent
Day 129 guess I should of updated its height a while ago. Turns out my plant wasn’t 19 inches but 32.5 inches. Plus I took my outside clone attempts and placed in small individual containers. I noticed a small root on 3 of them and also dipped them in Pro Mix Stim Root powder. Lets see if it helps them root faster and make my clones a success
Day 131 watering day with the other half of nutrients BUT I kept out the B-52 and added a little Tiger Bloom instead. I’m going to switch over to flowering on Thursday and I’m going to keep B-52 out for the first 2 weeks of feed as it may hinder some growth with the switch. (According to AN site) Would do another week of veg but my supply is getting low and they look good enough to produce a good yield
Day 130 so I double checked and then I checked again. Yep, I’m set up for flowering this time, I swear. No B-52 for the next 2 weeks, but Bud Candy has been added to the mix. They look a little droopy because my lights were a bit close and I had increased their intensity. Been raised to counter that and was watering day today as well.
Day 131 looks like all my clones (12 in total) have rooted. Noticed new healthy green growth on almost everyone near the bottom of their stems. Planning to plant one of them in the backyard with my Fruity Pebbles and trying to clone from a snippet of my indoor Cinderella 99 plant as well. Going to be a very busy summer. . . .if the neighbours keep their mouth shut 🤫 Planning to give most of the clones out to friends and neighbours if they want them.
Day 132 needed a quick watering last night. We’re looking like Day 130 in wilting and branches sagging. Pic shows that they perked right up with a watering just before lights out
Day 135 had to water everyone just before lights off last night. They were given their other half of this week’s nutrients and 2 tbsp of Blackstrap Molasses. Looked happy happy happy this morning
Day 137 just a small plain watering today. Give them a break from the nutrients
Day 141 watered today with nutrients. Was seeing some burned tips on a few plants, but not many. So I’m a dialling back the nutrients this week by almost half. Also added a 2nd SCROG netting which I hope my other girls will eventually grow to need. As you can see it is being used to train my much larger Black Sugar plant at the moment
Day 145 Well I think I held back watering a day too much. Looked pretty rough and a lot of yellowing leaves. So I gave her a good drink with BSM and some Cal/Mag. Will do my nutrients with the next watering
Day 148 another watering with some BSM and a little bit of Tiger Bloom. She was looking thirsty and not gonna let it get the state she was in a few days ago
Day 70 and they were thirsty. So I gave them a watering today with nutrients and welcome back B-52 into the mix. Hopefully I do t hurt them cause it is for late in blooming but I gave them a sip of Overdrive as well
Day 152 ok she looks a little dark but it’s because I lowered my HLG 600H over everyone else, and brought out my old Viparspectra 600 and placed her over the Black Sugar due to her height differential. Turned it off for the picture so it wouldn’t look blurple.
Day 154 just a little watering today with the usual 2Tbsp of BSM added to 2G of water
Day 156 that extra light in the tent is really making things warm in there, and drying the plants a little bit. Gotta figure something out soon, but it made them thirsty. So I did my water with my cal/mag, Bud candy and tiger bloom. Will probably get the other nutrients at this rate on Thursday
Day 159 Well things don’t look pretty right now. My tent got too warm with the 2nd light added, and now I’m just going to keep off and raise the Quantum Board higher for all. Got near the 90F in there (about 10-15F higher before it added) Plus I should of watered everyone last night, but it’s been completed now with all nutrients. I also topped almost all my colas and will see if they will start to back bud into big fat colas in the end. Hopefully tomorrow’s pics will look a little nicer
Day 160 that’s better everyone. Nice recovery and the smell is just wonderful now coming from the tent. Viparspectra light will be left off for the remainder of grow. Temps have dropped from 90 to 78 in the tent and they aren’t showing any signs of heat stress
Day 162 they were thirsty and not making the same mistake I did earlier this week. So it was a watering with a little Cal/Mag, B-52, Overdrive and Blackstrap Molasses
Day 165 today was a watering day with all nutrients. Plus I got a new toy and can now provide a nice close look at my frosty buds
Day 168 another watering day. Only using BSM and about 3ml/G of Overdrive as well. Also using cold water instead of room temp to see if I can shock some colours out of them. Guess we will see over the coming days or weeks
Day 171 watering day again. Did some Overdrive, Tiger Bloom, Bud Candy and 2Tbsp of BSM. Continuing to watering with cold water from the tap in hopes of some cool colouring.
Day 174 watering day and just using some Bud Candy and 3Tbsp of BSM. Probably done using nutrients and will be in flush mode but might keep using the BSM over the coming weeks.
Day 177 everyone in the tent was looking a little thirsty and so it was just a simple watering of cold water. No nutrients and no BSM.
DAY 179/WEEK 27 I can’t add another week to my journal. Cuts off after week 26 and would only allow me to add a Harvest week. Hopefully just another week of that as they are changing colours both leaf and bud wise.
Day 181 not yet ready so just a little drink of water
Day 182 Don’t think I have choice and will need to chop her. Too many small sugar leaves dying and in some cases turning blackish on the tips.
Harvested partially on July 8th, and will try to finish tomorrow. Probably less than half chopped and had 183g. On my 2nd round 79g buds and 65g of popcorn buds to make edibles and possible dabs from later on. Wish it were frostier looking but can’t seem to get my tent temps down. Lots of manicuring needed to be done with lots of yellow/dying sugar leaves
Been a few days and it has dried and I have tried. It shares a lot with Black Domina in smell and overall effects. This is slightly delayed in potency compared to BD, ok a lot delayed. It starts you off mellow, pretty pain free but functional. Although if you are not functional I found the strain just seems to make you tired and lazier as time goes on. Really hit me hard about an hour or 2 after vaping it. Again I wish I got it frostier but it seems to be doing what I was hoping it would do, help me sleep. . . even if it takes and hour or so to do so.
I wish it were frostier, but she’s a beast. It has been 27 weeks and pretty sure my leaves were yellowing because because I’m root bound. Will grab a pic when everything is harvested to see if I was right. No idea on taste yet but you can smell the Black Domina lineage while cutting. Like a very pungent black pepper. More info to come soon
July 11th and I finished her off. Hard to find good buds but got another 79g of buds. I had lots of popcorn buds like all my plants this grow. So I stripped her limbs and bagged 65g that will be used for edibles and possibly buy myself a dab press.
Hey bud, I see your grow is coming along, she is absolutely massive for black sugar plant lol, it’s awesome. Mine did not stretch much at all through (halfway) flower, from 12” to 15.5” so far. I see she is on 12/12 lighting or no? I would recommend 24-36 hrs of darkness when you flower her, mine responded quite well and showed bright green pre flowers in 5 days. The colas like air though I really had to tie mine down and trim her bush well so they had room before they really started putting on weight. Best of luck!
@CF998, that would be my bad on the light schedule and will fix that with today’s update. I thought I had it in flowering weeks ago but turns out I wasn’t plugged into my timer. I did get one day of 12/12 and caused some of the stretch you see now. Then my other 6 plants went belly up, restarted again from seed, and kept this on 18hrs of light. Will lollipop it soon when everyone else has caught up
@CF998, only have the one grow tent and weather outside won’t work. I was growing 6 other strains but all went belly up on me. So I’m week 1 (but using same journals and rewriting from the start8 into restarting that grow from seed again. I know she is ready but she will have to wait until the new girls are ready. So I have taken a few cuts from her yesterday and will try some clones until everyone switches over
Hi, new here. First post ever. I have a black sugar and she is 7 weeks old and looks very similar to yours I wonder if phenotype is the same. I was worried slightly about her smaller stature and leaf size, but she is very similar to yours, she was topped after fourth node. Subscribing to your grow, best of luck through the rest!
@CF998,yeah this was a weird one from the start. I actually thought after the first 15 days that my freebie was a dud because of its slow growth/structure. Glad I kept going with it and hope with all my cola top spots they give me an ok yield. Best of luck with your grow

Don't sweat, that plant has 7 gal container to feel out with its roots first, then it'll expand its canopy. From pics leaves are looking good. Edit: because you've got a wide selection remember some gonna be tall medium and short. Just like us
