Hi there,
Due to the incompleteness of my knowledge in hydro, the poor creature didnโt improve much. Root still hasn't come out of the net pot. The problem could also be that I didn't leave gap between the pool and the net pot and it couldn't breathe enough. I created space and we'll see what happens next week. ๐ฆ๐ฑ

See you!
Good luck Qutro! growing Hydro is something else.. i have never done it right..
so nice to see how you are doing it! good luck with this strain, lets dream blue!๐
@Qutro, I use a humidity dome over mine the first 2 weeks sometimes, which is just an Ikea lunch box that broke and I put holes in it. I posted photo of my humidity dome on Day 11 of this Sour Jealousy. This has always helped my little monsters grow very fast early. For the Blue Dream I grew in Hydro, i used the humidity dome for about 7 days, the Blue Dream seed I had was very old, back when it was called Blue Dream'matic.
Hey! Wow! The growth is really good for growing in rockwool!!! This will be a great plant. Some plants in DWC are slow starters. You can go back and see I have some that are slow like that that grew to be big monsters, like West Coast OG Kush, Bruce Banner, Gorilla Cookies were the same speed as your plant, especially the Afghan Kush I did in a rockwool cube. Those are ladder roots!! The plant is very strong. Be sure to keep your water 2cm or so below the netpot at this point. I think the light may be a bit too close. See the darker plant, that shows there was a high PH for a bit, but the new lighter green looks like the ph is in check at 6.0, this is common with rockwool cubes. They take about a week or two submerged in 6.0 PH water to become stable. Root Riot plugs are what you want to use, they are PH stable. Over the next few days, you will hopefully see those roots reach the bottom of the DWC bucket. If you dont, pop a new seed with a Root Riot, keep the light at 100cm away from the top of the bucket on 100% intensity, no dimmer, get the temps to 28-30, top water for 2 weeks. You will have a monster 100%, follow my diary man, and you will grow DWC really well ๐ช ๐
@SwissKush, I am focusing now to my soil grow which is running wel at the moment. For DWC I still have some Fastbuds beans from the DOM price(1 BLue Dream among the others) but maybe first will run an organic soil grow in the small ten with some rare Cali genetics I just scored recently. I hesitate about what to do.๐
๐ขAll of us in the DWC community are ready to help! This has happened to all when we were learning. My first DWC, I had to pop 5 seeds just to get 2 plants!! Like any craft, DWC, takes a bit of practice, and it is never perfect! PH testing is far more important in DWC than in other mediums. ๐ป๐ป๐ป
For PH Testing in DWC you will want to buy the 10 euro TA liquid GHE tester. This is the only way to accurately measure PH in DWC without spending 2 thousand euro on a precision instrument. During the first 3 weeks, I test the PH up to 3 times a day, adjusting with TA PH- down. My water is PH 7 from the tap. When I top water the DWC rocks for the first 2 weeks under the humidity dome, I use 6.0 water until the roots hit the pool, then I stop top watering. Dont forget to boil your hydroton/expanded clay before use, then soak in 6.0 water. It takes about 10 minutes in boil water for them to become totally clean. It takes about 2-3 weeks to learn how your DWC is going to fluctuate with the specific plant you are growing. Introduce nutrients after day 7, and introduce them lightly. All root systems are different, especially with Autoflowering Cannabis. Once you get the DWC stable at 6.0 (yellow colour) on the liquid PH tester, it will typically level out stable if you are using good quality EU nutrients. Around day 20 you should see all your tests nailing the yellow on the liquid tester for 6.0, then you can go to once a day PH testing. I do everything same time each morning, and monitor several times a day. After about 3-4 weeks you will learn the pattern and establish a cadence for PH testing, and you will learn your DWC pool's behavour. If you are using one of those Chinese PH pens, you might as well shoot yourself in the foot. They never are accurate in DWC, ever. ๐
@Sour_D, Among other things, this is why I love this community. You can always count on the other. Only positivity from everywhere, this is what the world needs everywhere these days.๐๐จ
Very unfortunate @Qutro, SwissKush is nailing it on ph! I try to keep mine at 6.2 throughout the grow, check and correct if needed at least 2x a day. It really is your #1 concern in DWC. If it isnโt right, youโre guessing at whatโs wrong. The rest is just a different routine from soil, nothing hard about it. Prevent root rot, stay on top of your nutrient changes. There is definitely a community of DWC growers to help with any questions and tips, anytime. ๐ฑ๐
