It was it this point I learned that I’d have to be growing these myself, I put them in tiny pots with OF soil to avoid feeding, but I did order octopots and advanced nutrients. I also tried chiropractics for the first time and found it to be so much easier to super crop successfully rather than just trying to bend the stem.
Went on vacation the week before this, luckily the octopots came and so dude the advanced nutrients, did some more super cropping and gave them their first true feeding of measured nutrients. Simply followed the instructions in the bottles.
Set up the net getting ready to flip, also cleaned up the lowers, will do another clean up once they are in flower and start showing bud sites. Continued with super cropping as well. Still following recommended dosages on the bottles.
Flower is upon us and now the journal is caught up. I will be giving weekly updates at this point as they happen, playing catch-up is over but I did want to get my journey started on this site. Still a relatively new grower and I have plenty to learn.
Will be cleaning up pretty much the entire lower half’s tonight and we’ll see how we look in next weeks post. Loving the growth, unfortunately I have nowhere else to spread these ladies so hoping the stretch stops soon.
Went to town on the not so lower third, did a good lower half on these since they are so tall, I don’t really want any larf and I’ll probably go back in in a couple weeks and do the same thing. These ladies are stretching crazy and also starting to put out some ice. Very excited, these were cloned from a purple pheno, but that purple pheno couldn’t been due to deficiency. Either way I’m so hyped for this grow, the octopots are out performing my expectations and so are the plants. I turned the light up to 75% and they seem to like it so far, I’m afraid to go too high on it since they are essentially touching it right now anyway. Week 3 in the books. It’s time for some bud formation.
I had turned the light up to 75% last week and they def started showing signs of light stress, I turned it to about 70% but they don’t seem any less stressed, I think the tops are just too close to be honest. Not sure if I should go back to 75%. Other than that they seem incredibly happy. They pray every day even with the curled tips. I ordered some overdrive which should arrive just in time for when it’s supposed to used, going to defoliate tonight anything under the trellis I think.
Eager to see these ladies come into form, I doubt these will be 8 week plants, but I’m eager for 9/10 and I think the chunk is going to be real, completely stripped anything under the net, light back to 75% where I think it’ll stay, and overdrive starting with the next feed.
Excited to see what this overdrive is all about. My entire room smells like a skunk but these buds smell like straight up candy, skittles type ish. I’m hype to see the weight these ladies start to pack on.. fingers crossed. Any of y’all wanna guess yields?
Dialed back the a/b and also got rid of some of the larger fan leaves up top, just a few, probably won’t touch them again until harvest, debating cutting nutrients completely with the next feed, I’d say at least 2 more weeks. So maybe one more week of nutrients?
Flushed them for a week, I’m going to be chopping tonight, they are not ready but I saw a spot of PM for the first time in my life and I’m not risking it. I sprayed them with peroxide and will be bud washing tonight after work. Disappointed but still optimistic, worried for future grows now.
