Had a power outage for 4 hrs on day 4 - 10-20f outside - it got down to 61f in the room. No noticeable issues. On day 7 I noticed some yellowing on lowest leaves - watered with 1 gal lower ph water (ph 5.5) to flush.

Day 8 watering is definitely raising the humidity levels - considering fresh air intake, but concerned about the effect on temperatures - other option is to put humidifier on light timer or turn it off altogether - no signs of sex yet, unless they are all showing female spiking, but my knowledge is too scant to be sure yet - transplanted PH4,5 and 6 into 3gal cloth pots - watered with diluted nutrient water ph6.0 - humidity rose to 64% - turned humidifier off and temp down a notch as it hit 84f - PM 58% 75f Day 9 AM 60% 73f - learned a lot about VPD today - decided to set a target of 65-70% humidity and 74-76f temp target for veg phase adjusted temp and using humidifier on low - topped PH1 today and it is not showing any signs of stress after 8 hours - watered seedlings and finished off nute water on larger plants - discoloring of lowest leaf to yellow seems to have stoppped, but still unsure as it has not spread - rare spots of burn on some leaves so I am going to stick with lower ph water only for the next few days - possible sulphur issue, which can only be flushed away so I feel this is the best route to go for now - PM 66% 73f Day 10 AM 63% 75f - topped PH2 and 3 - no water day 1 - transplanted PH7,8 and 9 collectively into 1 5gal cloth pot under my original veg light separate from the 2x600w - transplanted Skunk 1 into a 3gal cloth pot - no shock showing on PH plants but Skunk withered significantly (it had the smallest/weakest root ball) - PM 66% 76f Day 11 AM 65% 75f - transplant shock gone from skunk - could not resist and watered all with 1 gal molasses water - began LST training on PH 1,2 and 3, just edging them towards the edge of the pot - ran higher RH today (70-75%) and balanced temps as best I could at 75f, but more fans are needed - temps using IR were +/- 2 degrees of room, but triple pot was running 3-4 degrees below room temp, needing more circulation - topped plants are all showing new dual tops forming well - PM 65% 75f Day 12 AM 65% 75f - LSTd PH7,8 and 9 'just' for the day, producing a slight bend and exposing the lower branches - only PH3 has starter leave sets underneath atm - adjusted PH1,2 and 3 LST - PH1 is showing tremendous secondary branching already - leaf temps were running 71f-73f so I raised the room temp to 77, which lifted leaf temps to 75f-77f - sparsley watered a few with 1/2 gal ph 5.5 water - ran 70% humidity for half the day - PM 71% 77f Day 13 AM 61% 77f - running 70-75% humidity during day again - topped PH5&6 - LST on PH1,2,3,7,8,9 - minor leaf manipulation on PH4,5,6 and Skunk1 - IR temps were 76-77f thru day - watered all with 1 gal ph 6 nute water (1TBL Big Bloom & 1tsp Grow Big - foxfarms) - sealed room more - flipped on the red bloom lights to see if it helps stretch lower branches up faster - PM 75% 77f Day 14 AM 68% 77f - no water - adjusted lst and manipulated leaves as needed - topped PH7 - slowly bringing temp down as it keeps rising (red lights?) - PM 70% 77f

Day 15 AM 69% 77f - no water - noticed it dropped to 70f 68% humidity overnight, so the lights are affecting temperature - basic LST including splitting new main branches wider on PH1 - turning humidifier off for 6 hours only resulted in a slight humidity drop, so the plants are contributing to the air environment now with less than 50% of full soil coverage - turned red lights off to slow stretching - topped PH8 and 9 - PM 65% 75f Day 16 AM 55% 73f - no water - red lights back on - re-read VPD again, noting I need late veg stage settings - so I am settling with 75-77f with 60-70% humidity until 2 weeks into flowering during the day, with a temp drop at night - I am also putting the humidifier on the light timer - DAY 7 of first topping on PH1 - TOPPED SECONDARY BRANCHES on PH1 - adjusted LST stakes and leaves on all plants to maximize branch growth - set humidifier on high as plants are drying out soil faster but no signs of underwatering - broke hard soil and powdery substance up on all plants (should be a weekly task) - PH1 is really damp under branches - consider some minor lollipopping soon and under canopy ventilation path planning - PM 68% 77f Day 17 AM 67% 77f - watered all with 2 gal nute water (2TBL Big Bloom and 2tsp Grow Big) - all pots were dry and thirsty - basic LST - turned humidifier off after watering for 4 hours - added a thin layer of top soil to cover perlite that floated up (need to water slower) - PM 71% 79f Day 18 AM 71% 77f - no water - basic LST - re-arranged pots to promote more light to shorter plants and begin even-ing out the canopy levels - TOPPED Skunk 1 - needed to turn humidifier off and open/air out room twice for short periods as humidity hit 72%+ - humidifier is still on light timer, and it only hit a low of 64% overnight after watering, while temps dropped to 72f without lights - 2ND TOP of both PH1s Mains, past 2nd branch (day 9 since 1st top) - 2ND TOP of both mains on PH2 and 3, just past first branch (day 8 since 1st top) - PM 65% 77f Day 19 AM 73% 73f - no water - overnight humidity was 75% at 70f, which is 10 points too high - will need dehumidifier set at 65% - setup humidifier, but unit and hydrometer do not match and it also apparently needs to run for 1-3 days continuously - running humidifier and dehumidifier at same time continuously to monitor with 60% on hydrometer and 48% on unit - shut it off continuous after 2 hours (50% RH on hydrometer - 40% on unit) and set unit at 55% - still not sure why the vast discrepancy or which reading to trust - ok, now I moved the temp/humiidty sensor cloer to unit - they are within 2 degrees of each other - also when I open door to room the unit drops 4-6 points instantly (outside air hit it), so I am now setting it at 65% and leaving the sensors closer together to monitor - I am concerned about the heat from dehumidifier when running - altho not continuous, it is looking as if it is near time to install cooling/filter unit, besides the faint smell is getting stronger but not noticable outside the room yet - TOPPED 2 MORE SECONDARIES on PH1 - trimmed the bottom 4 leaves off PH1,2 and 3 - PM 63% 75f Day 20 AM 63% 75f - no water - set dehumidifier at 60% and turned humidifier off - red lights off - PM 55% 75f Day 21 AM 60% 75f - red lights back on, lowered lights to 8inches (where I feel heat from lights stop) and it is hitting lower branches much better - watered with 3 gal water ph 5.8 then 2 gallons of ph 6.2 water with 2 TBL unsulphured molasses - humidity rose immediately to upper 60s, engaging dehumdifier and it's now staying at a steady 60-62% 75-77f - major LST on PH1,2 and 3, spreading the cola branches out - basic LST/leaf manipulation on all others - humidifier still off - PM 59% 75f (1 hour after lights out)

Day 22 59% 75f - no water - turned humidifier back on to keep it 60-65% RH - adjusted lights up half an inch - 2ND TOPPING of PH 5 and 6 - light LST and turning - red lights off again, realizing they are pointless during veg phase - PM 64% 77f Day 23 AM 63% 73f - no water - pump went out, negative 5-20 degrees for the next 24 hours - no water flow in house, ughhh, but I have 3 gallons on hand for people and plants combined - minor LST - PM 61% 73f Day 24 AM 62% 73f - no water - 2ND TOP OF PH 7 AND 8 - skipping 2nd top on PH9 as it is growing 2 stalks out of the cut from the first topping, causing 4 tops total - prepped 3 gallons ph 6.4 water with no additives - basic LST/LM - concerned all the back plants have dry soil, but the front ones are moist, likely caused by the fan blowing at wall and flowing down, which has me considering a rotation front to back, but the 5 gal pots are the wettest and wouldn't be moved, so I may have to adopt individual watering for pots - PM 61% 73f Day 25 AM 59% 75f - no water - turned sides down on 3 plants and re-positioned all pots - major LST spreading plants out across pots - bent PH7,8,9 down horizontally in a circle - 3RD TOP OF FOUR MAINS ON PH1 (7 days since 2nd main topping)- PM 64% 75f Day 26 AM 66% 75f - watered with 2 1/2 gallons of ph 6.4 water - humidifier off - PM 64% 77f Day 27 AM 61% 75f - humidifier is still off - noticed some possible yellowing on interior of leaves so I added a gallon of 2 TBL molasses water at ph 6.8, split across all 10 plants - leaf coloring is difficult with the grow lights on - minor LST, balancing future bloom placements - adjusted lights to 12 inches - PM 60% 75f Day 28 AM 59% 75f - added another gallon of 2 TBL molasses water, split across all plants - Power went out again at 930pm at 1f outside - off til 3am when it was -18f - temps and humidity plummeted - moved humdifier back into room and turned on (had gone 3 days without) - PM 46% 52f

Day 43 AM 61% 65f - no water - Power went out AGAIN (3rd time this grow) last night: icy, with 50mph winds for 4 hours with room dropping to 61f - saw pistils on the Skunk today, so that's PH1 & 3 as confirmed females? - the plants left are all in week 6 or 7, so I expect all females (pure luck with bag seeds) - I still have the PH 7,8 and 9 tri-plant pot in tent/veg - plant heights are 17-21" - set dehumidifier to 55% - Pm 57% 73f Day 44 AM 59% 81f - Busy Day - Lights were on all night, adjusted timer to go back to 12/12 schedule - Changed lights from 2x600w Red/Blue/UV/IR LED to 1x600w Red/Blue/UV/IR LED + 1x1200w COB (next to each other) LED + 2xCircle 45w Red/Blue LEDwater (on each end), all overhead and a 19w Full Spectrum Veg Light facing from the side (almost 1900w in a 3x4 foot grow area) - moved the other 600w Red/Blue/UV/IR LED to the veg tent - heavy LST (final) to spread thick branches to edges and expose centers for growth - watered 5 gal ph 6.0 water to PH1-6 (1TBL/gal Big Bloom, 1tsp/gal Tiger Bloom, 1.5tsp/gal Berry Sweet) - watered PH7-9 tri-plant with 1 gallon ph6.0 water (1TBL Big Bloom, 1tsp Grow Big) - plants at 18-23" height after lst - lights at 15" as COB heat is significant - PM 61% 79f Day 45 AM 59% 79f - watered with 1 gal ph 6.2 molasses water (2TBL/gal) across all plants - emptied 0.8gal from dehumidifier - leaf manipulations - 18-24" (Skunk is still spurting up) PM 55% 81f Day 46 AM 56% 75f - no water - leaf manipulation, balancing of the canopy - all PH1-6 plants and Skunk are confirmed females (miracle of the ganga gods) - PH7,8,9 tri-plant still doesn't show any signs of sex in veg tent - emptied 0.8gal from dehumidifier - PM 54% 79f Day 47 AM 53% 81f - 20-26" heights - watered with 5 gal ph 6.5 water (10ml/gal Sweet Berry), which flushed PH1-6 and Skunk - PH 7,8,9 did not need water - setup 6" fan w/filter to handle slight smell, triggered by 80f at canopy (still not vented out) - emptied 0.5 gal from dehumidifer - PM 54% 82f Day 48 AM 60% 77f - no water - leaf manipulation - having a hard time keeping the temp down without the cooling fan venting out (hope to have venting setup within a few days) - emptied 0.5 gal from dehumidifer - 20-27" height - PM 56% 81f Day 49 AM 57% 75f - no water - emptied 0.5 gal from dehumidifer - leaf manipulation - covered full side with hanging reflectors - added 1200w COB LED and pulled 2x45wufo LEDs off - now ~3000w of lighting (2x1200w COB + 1x600wLED on Bloom setting) - PM 54% 82f

Day 57 F22 AM 49% 77f - I see another possible male pod next to a fresh female set of pistils, below a budding branch, which seems out of place for both so I am monitoring it for now - ordered grow tent for quarantine - watered with 3gal ph5.8 water with Tiger Bloom (2tsp/gal) - PM 52% 77f Day 58 F23 AM 50% 79f - possible male pod has no change - watered again with 3gal ph6.1 water with Tiger Bloom (2tsp/gal), flushing 10% out - PM 51% 77f Day 59 F24 AM 49% 77f - watered again with 1.5gal ph6.1 water with Tiger Bloom (2tsp/gal) - removed 0.8gal water from dehumidifier - watered triplnt with 1/2gal ph 6.1 molasses water - PM 52% 77f Day 60 F25 AM 65% 77f - emptied 0.8gal from dehumidifier - no water - leaf manipulation - PM 51% 77f Day 61 F26 Triplnt F1 AM 51% 77f - no water - setup quarantine tent for PH1 - trimmed off about a dozen male pods from PH1, many just 'fell off' upon touch - moved triplant back into main grow room, starting it's flowering cycle after 80 days of veg - trimmed lower third of triplant and defoliated some in the upper middle - LST the tallest triplnt stalks outward, as there is plenty of room to grow out - PM 45% 77f Day 62 F27 F2 AM 50% 77f - watered with 1 1/2 gal molasses water ph 6.7 and 4 hours later with 4 gal ph 6.3 water, flushing thru - PM 46% 77f Day 63 F28 F3 AM 46% 77f - no water -turned temp on cooling system down another degree to 75 - setup filter/cooling system tied to humidity in quarantine tent (at 49%, it turns on filter/fan to remove air, dehumidifi-ing/lowering temperature, until it hits 45%, then switches off/conversely it will turn on the humidifier if it drops below 41% and run until it hits 45%) - humidifier has a second control with timer, disallowing it to run during dark cycle as it lights up with a bright blue led when turned on - turned box fan on low next to lower side vent - ended up turning the box fan off as it was bringing the RH down really low and making it hard to maintain, plus it was stopping the cooling fan from kicking in, raising the temp - musty smell from the past few days in quarantine tent/PH1 seems to be strain related during flowering and research states it will evolve to a possible diesel/sour or skunky smell so I will watch the other PH plants for the same smell soon as PH1 was the most developed - no signs of mold or mildew - PM 46% 77f FOUR MORE WEEKS TO GO!?!?!?!? I'm getting excited and so inpatient...

Day 64 F29 F4 3/1 AM 45% 75f - no water - found a few hermy/male pods on PH3, picked them off - LST on Triplnt - lo and behold, I am getting a slight musty smell in the grow room too, today, expecting it to intensify - concerned about temps in quarantine tent, as they rise above 85f at canopy - struggling to manually adjust air flows, which could be continuous except I'd need to be at such low humidity (ambient is 35%), and I would never get the temp low enough to maintain VPD - maybe I can switch to continuous if I bring in a larger humidifier - PM 46% 75f Day 65 F30 F5 AM 46% 73f - PH1:45% 85f - I switched the PH1 tent to continuous exhaust, which brings the RH down to 37% but only seems to keep the temp around 80-81f, but still better than 85f+ - after a few hours of low RH, I put the larger humidifier in set on high and set to the controller, which is keeping humidity in the 41-45% range, it will remain off overnight tho and likely stay at the house's RH of 35-40% when the lights are out - smell is completely under control now too - need to consider a cool air source - emptied 0.5gals from dehumidifier - watered all with 5.5gals ph 6.5 water (1.5tsp Tiger Bloom/gal + 1.5tsp/gal Sweet Berry) - PH1 is 32" tall with 13 main colas, PH2-6 are 27-35", Triplnt is 26" and the Skunk is 34-44" on the main colas - LST on triplnt - interior defoliating on Skunk, opening up popcorn bud areas to more light - PM 45% 77f Day 66 F31 F6 AM 40% 73f - no water - heavy defoliating inner leaves on all plants - PM 45% 77f PH1:45% 81f Day 67 F32 F7 AM 45% 75f - no water - humidity alarm went off in tent at 32% RH, and after two days of fighting it at night I realized that the timer I used to stop it from running in the dark (stupid LED inside unit) stops counting time when the controller shuts the power off when humidity is met, doh logic! - humidifier will need to be reset daily or switched to a schedule if I can find a better timer - tent canopy leaf temps are around 77f, which is good as room temp is reading 81.5f so the improved circulation is helping a lot - humidity is still dropping to 30% at night, but I'm not as concerned now that temps are better - grow room temps on leaves were showing 68-72f, so I increased the controller temp back to 76f (1 degree up) - the defoliations are allowing better air movement and temps - PM 45% 77f PH1:45% 81f Day 68 F33 F8 AM 45% 75f - PH1 humidity it dropping to 30% overnight, so I shut down the intake fan, which helped bring the temps down for some reason (they were nearing 85f) - watered with 5.5gals ph 6.2 water (1.5TBL/gal Big Bloom) - LST on triplnt - defoliation as needed - some evidence of flowering on triplnt which had 9 weeks of veg, but it definitely is not shooting up as fast as the others did with a 5 week veg - PM 45% 77f PH1:45% 81f Day 69 F34 F9 AM 48% 75f - PH1:38% 77f - light watering with 1gal ph 6.5 water across all plants - more defoliation, should I stop? the lower bud growth is plumping up - watching some yellowing of edges of mid-range leaves on PH1, possible over-nutrient dmg from Scotts Soil (continuous feeding 4mos) - PM 45% 77f PH1:45% 79f Day 70 F35 F10 AM 52% 77f PH1:45% 77f - no water - emptied 0.8gal from dehumidifier, noticing less leaves means less water release? buds do seem to be fattening up -

Day 78 F43 AM 45% 75f - did a FULL flush of 5-7 gallons ph 5.5-6.5 water for each plant (PH1-6), dropping PPM from 1700-3000 down to 650-700 each - soil/water PH rose from 7.8 to 8.5, and I do not understand why yet so will research it but it shouldn't matter since I have begun the final flush weeks - I am going to start using ph5.5-6 water for the rest of the grow - the whole process, doing PH1-6 and the Skunk plant took me 6.5 hours - dropped dehumidifer to 40 RH - added 1/2 hour to night schedule - PM 45% 79f Day 79 F44 AM 45% 77f - flushed Triplnt today then 4 hours later I gave it 1/2 gal of ph 6.0 water (3tsp Big Bloom, 2tsp Grow Big & 2 tsp Tiger Bloom/gallon) - split 1 gallon Sweet Berry (2tsp/gal) water 6.5ph across all plants (final feeding for PH1-6) - Fruity Pebbles smell today - had to add one set of yo-yo hangers to a plant as the buds were flopping over on one stalk without support - PM 45% 77f Day 80 F45 AM 40% 75f - no water - cut down the short plant in the Triplnt, as it was not growing and had not even achieved half the size of the other two. It was not worth it taking nutrients from it's sisters. - PM 45% 79f Day 81 F46 AM 40% 75f - watered with 6gals ph 6.8 water watered BA with 1/2gal ph6.5 water (3tsp Bembe, 1/4tsp Cha-Ching) - sprayed with Flowers Kiss foliar spray (2tsp/gal) - tap water is at ph 9.5, and I struggled to get nutrients under 7.0, using massive amounts of ph down - PM 45% 79f Day 82 F47 AM 45% 77f - ph meter calibration done and after that, it showed me I had watered with ph 2.5-3 nutrients yesterday - made a gallon of ph6.5 and spread it across all plants - will do a full emergency flush tomorrow if plants distress - canopy humidity says 35% rh all day, so I put the dehumidifier back on the 45% setting - sprayed with Flowers Kiss - PM 38% 77f Day 83 F48 AM 45% 77f - plants looked thirsty, so I flushed all plants to 10% runoff, except Triplnt, with 5 gallons ph 6.0 water (1TBL/Big Bloom, 1tsp/Tiger Bloom, 1.5tsp Sweet Berry, 1/4tsp/Cha-Ching) - minor defoiliation, mostly to Triplnt - put dehumidifier back at 40% - PM 41% 75f Day 84 F49 AM 38% 79f - no water - dropped temp down another degree to 75f - PH canopy is staying around 70-72f, and lower areas are 68-71f, with the air at 36%rh 75f - PH1 is showing leaf issues and temps are staying in the 79-81f range with 45%rh - minor defoiliation as needed - moved PH lights about 2 inches closer - PM 38% 75f

I do not feel very sure that the 'supposed' 65 days of flower info I found on the internet is my target. These are bag seeds, so I do not know it's genetic line or original breeder. When do you recommend I harvest my Purple Haze plants?

Looking at your grow conditions and without seeing a microscope picture of the trichomes, I would say you give them a last light feed on the week 9 of flower and start flushing by week 10, aiming at 20-30% runoff each time, for 1 or 2 weeks, so they can ripe those buds even more. Keep an eye on the buds and trichomes as the leaves yellow, for they can be ready before you finish flushing. Take a note on the smell too, it's a good indicator, as it starts to decrease, they are ready. In the last week the smell should be 3x, 4x times stronger and then it starts to turn to a more fermented scent, with lower intensity. Got that from a Ed Rosenthal book and it's a true thing. Have fun growing! Tchau, do Brazil! =) ,

8 to 10 weeks of flower is where most strains are ready. in absence of a microscope / jewelers loupe, the calyxes swelling and hairs going red is a good sign of the plant been ready.

Hey there! So the only way to know when your plants are at peak ripeness, is to use a pocket microscope or jewelers loupe to look at the trichomes (crystals) on the buds. What you want to look for is Cloudy/milky trichomes that is when they are at peak resin production. there are 3 stages of the trichomes life, Clear-to early don't harvest yet Milky/Cloudy-peak production and amber- it is past peak and the THC oxidizes into CBN and can produce somewhat of a fake couch lock feeling. So it best to harvest when it is as close to 100% cloudy but that is very hard to do so some people go a little on the early side and chop at like 90-95% cloudy and 5-10% clear. Some people go a little longer and the the same but with 5-10% amber and sometimes if you wanting a more couchlock like feeling some folks will go 30% amber it up to you on that part of when but as long as you get almost all of them when cloudy your good👍 Happy Growing!!

It's amazing what you learn as you grow. Reflecting back I even see lessons I learned slowly (as I had zero patience) and some that just came naturally, like defoliation. I wrote a blog post about 'How to Germinate and start a seedling." I had forgotten about it and re-read it the other day. I was clueless, giving out stupid advice and I was pretty good at documenting my complete lack of know how. 😀 As I near my first harvest, I'm still inpatient and excited. I'm constantly re-checking other diaries, videos, blogs on the matter, to make sure I choose the right time to harvest. I'm thankful that I found Growdiaries too, as it's been the best source of comparisons to what I'm actually doing on the internet, IMHO. 👍

Trichomes are running 5-15% amber, depending on the plant. Pistils are around 70-90% brown.

@Mrs_Larimar, I love that site. It has the best articles. Surprised I had not found that one, but it's perfect. Stages of harvest sound like a good idea, as the lower canopies are not returning the same trichome results and seem about a week behind the tops. It's not an issue to stage it, since the Triplnt is already about 3 weeks behind the others. I'll take my time. It would be a good opportunity to test the variety of effect from low and high amber trichome effects in a sativa dominant plant. I already know what the immature tester buds are like. hehe ;)

@Michigander, and here the promised link to the site.....https://www.growweedeasy.com/ready-for-harvest-pictures And after looking again i would say 5-8 more days..... because its 25 degree, and so the plants maturate faster If you are unsure, you can harvest in stages, at first the ready parts and later the rest of it

@Mrs_Larimar, thank you. Yea, it's really my first grow. I've been researching and debating starting this for years and after it was legalized, I jumped in. I started taking notes long before I found growdiaries. I was intentionally trying to learn as much as I could and wanted to be able to track problem down. I had no clue it was so appropriate. :) Plus, an older friend wanted to grow their first plant this year and I hoped notes would help them.

I found a few hermie seeds this week and decided to keep and quarantine the plant. I suppose it's the luck of the draw with bag seed. Anyone else have hermie's documented in their diaries? How did you deal with them?
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarcommented6 years ago
@Michigander, I had a hermie, i just took away the pollensacks( around 5 times) after that she showed only female organs. Normally its better to separate them. but i had no place , so she stayed where she was and made no more trouble. But if you see it to late you have a lot of seeds... so i let them grow

I forgot to mention - the day numbering is based on when I determined vegetation to have started. ie: the day I transplanted my first seedling into a larger pot. There were actually 18 days of germination/seedling growth, before this diary started. Of the 9 plants, one is in a 5 gallon cloth pot (PH1) 5 are in 3 gal cloth pots(PH2-6) and one 5 gallong cloth pot has 3 of the 9 plants in it, which I have coined 'Triplnt.'

hi can i know the brand of your led? very beautiful
Michigander
Michigandercommented6 years ago
@NOLOGIK, okay, I own both types and I am using them on separate grows/areas and here is what I am noticing. The budget Blurple LEDs work fine, but they are very low powered for what they say they are. If it says 600w, I would consider it is actually only about 25% of that in equivalency. The 600w Blurple LEDs I have are setup with 2 in a 3x3 grow tent. They performed INCREDIBLY for vegetation phase, but seem to be under-powered for the bloom phase. LUX is in the 15k range at 12". I have another budget 1200w Blurple in a second area, 2x3 ft. It is almost done with a 4 month grow and it is performing VERY well. Huge buds! The doubling in intensity from the single light is noticeably showing. It's the PH1 plant in this grow. I love this light and it covers the area perfectly and has decent LUX. (40,000k) I use a freebie LUX meter app on my phone. My third area has my PH2-6 plants and the Triplnt. In a 3x5ft area I have two budget 1200w COB LED lights (4x300w COBs in each). The performance is beyond my expectations and I am very pleased. These are my favorite lights. The LUX on them runs 40,000-50,000 and the penetration below the canopy is superior. I did use the 2x600w Blruple LEDs to veg these plants. So, from what I have learned in the past 4 months for the home grower: 1. Don't waste money on the $500 name brand lights (I spent less than that for all my 6 of my different grow lights combined) 2. Budget Blurple lights need to be 12-18" from your plants, reducing their effective area - so use them for smaller grows or use 2-4 of them to cover a larger area. 3. Budget COB LEDs cost a bit more, but they can cover a much larger area as they don't need to be so close. They also put off more heat than the Blurples, so they work as a heat source in the cold winter months. If you only want to grow 2 plants at a time, a budget Blurple LED of at least 900watts. If you want to grow 4 plants, get three or more Blurples (600w each, or more) and stagger them. If you want to grow more than that, focus on COB LEDs of 1200w or more. My friend uses 4 1500w COBs in a 5x5 tent with amazing results. As an FYI, I just ordered myself another 2foot long 600w COB LED with 3 COBs in it, all in a row. I am going to add it to my 3x3 tent in between the two 600w Blurple LED lights - which I am keeping. It is the Gorillagasm grow in my diaries if you want to see how it is doing so far with just the 2x600w Blurples. I'm adding the light because in comparison, the buds seem a little smaller than my COB grow was at this stage in bloom. I do like and see the benefit of the red light spectrum, plus I really like the idea of the UV and IR lights they have to prevent bacteria and other nastiness. If you go Blurple - pick a high wattage reading. Do not be concerned about the ones with or without the veg/bloom switches - it does not change much other than how much light it puts out. If you go COB, consider a cheapo blurple as a supplement light along side it.

@Michigander, Hi I was seeing your list I can ask you how do these cob lights work? how many harvests have you already done? ke your impressions if they are worth and special lights for cultivation, and all you can tell me ... because I am also looking for led lights, but the market and my thoughts are making me increase my doubts !!!! thank you very much and sorry for too many questions!

This grow is actually 9 plants, all Purple Haze bag seed. It's my first grow and I'm learning as I go. I also want to be able to experiment with different techniques, temps and timing. This is a soil grow and I used Scott's potting soil. I have Fox Farm nutrients and some Sweet Berry from Botanicare. I've been acquiring bits and pieces for growing and have and will expand my growing abilities and equipment, as I learn more. After, I've selected 3 different drying and curing methods to attempt. Traditional, dry, jar, burp. Deep freezing and COBs. I'm all in. So, why not?
