We will start this diary by showing how we make a clone from a mother plant.
After that the real growing will start.
We start with the mother plant. and cut a little branch, just above a internode. cut above the interned to be sur a new clone can start to grow.
Always cut couple of clones more, incase some not root, or don't look like that champ you want it to be.
Make sure you use clean water through out the grow! With out water nothing will happen...
Create a small hole, so that the clone will slide in smooth.
Dip the end of the clone in some clonex. this is a root stimulator gel, that will make your clones root faster.
Cut a piece of the bigger fan leafs, so that when the clones are close next to each other they don't create unnecessary shadow for others.
Try to cut each clone the same size, so that the light gets divided equally. and when planting days comes the chance a equal canopy will develop is much higher.
Slide them deep enough in to the cube. So that they are self supporting.
Close the propagator. And daily sweep the plastic cover to remove moist.
Let them chill for a week and what will come out is massive white roots.
Have a good grow!
We are starting the grow, with preparing our soil.
We do this by first mixing the soil:
50% Soil 50% perlite. Perlite is added to make the soil more airy and therefore the bacteria will have more chance to thrive.
Then we mix:
50 Grams of Startex through the mix
25 Grams Silicium flash
3 grams Mycotrex through the soil 2 grams direct in plant hole or stick it on the roots
20 Grams of guano
2 Biotabs pushed in to the soil.
Then we water our pots with 10 ML Orgatrex per 1 liter water.
And 1 gram of bactrex per liter water.
From then on it is a walk in the park: 4 weeks of only adding water.
NO measuring PH or EC!!!
The microorganism and bacteria we use will create a buffer for you and will make sure all the values will be correct in the soil.
Just as in the forest nobody is monitoring the status of the soil. The soil-life is taking care of this.
The Black Cherry Soda's life is officially starting now!
Good times ahead!
Not much to do now, just make sure the autopot tank is full. And the ladies will have enough water.
Just to give them a little boost wel start spraying the Boom Boom spray.
This spray exist mostly out of amino acids that work as a grow stimulator. The cool thing about the Boom Boom spray is that it is a plant extract, and there for it wil be easy of the plant to recognise and convert in to uptake able plant nutrients.
In this stage we are also bending down the branches to make sure other branches will get the same chance.
And this will result in bigger bushy plants.
We have started the 4 week of the whole cycle, and it is time to boost up the soil life.
What is happening in the soil, new roots have colonised the soil and the need a layer of protection on the roots.
This why we add extra Bactrex (trichodermas) to be sure all the roots will be colonised with the bacteria. and pathogens have no chance to interfere.
The big dose of Orgatrex, work as topping up the soil with organic material (compost) for the soil life to consume.
Next week will flip the light to flowering (12/12) and the fun part will start!
The first week of flowering hash started.
Now is the time when you have start to pay attention extra good to the conditions and plants.
To be sure they will deliver you fat frosty buds.
Make sure the canopy is equally divided, to be sure each buds gets the sam amount of light.
Also remove the big fan leaves that are creating shadows on the little buds below.
Extra long side branche you can bend down with the help of a little iron wire.
When big branches are bend down. Lower smaller branches and buds will get a better chance to develop.
Had a very busy couple of weeks and did not have time to give attention to the ladies.
They where neglected for a bit, but they still came out nice.
Since i was not at home, did not do any training or took away any leaves, that why it looks a bit like a full bush.
But it is still a full bush of buds.
Thanks to the biotabs did not have to worry about nutrients, this was all added the first day and was released though out the whole cycle.
Only in the in the 3/4 week of flowering added compost tea and the rest of the time only water was added. Ideally was that every week they had had a shot of compost tea. But it was just not possible. on the road for trade shows and other public appearances...
Am still very happy how the plants came out, because there are some very interesting terps on this lady. And will definitely will be a very enjoyable tasty smoke!
At the moment have closed the autopot, and wil let the soil dry out a couple of days.
So that the last nutrients will get sucked out of the soil, and handeling of the pots will go much easier when they are not filled with water.
Keep the pot a bit moist to be sure you can reuse the soil, of a future grow.
next week will do the harvest post!
Green greetings!
The Pots have dried out, and the nutrients were extracted out of the soil by the plants.
You can see this through the yellowing leaves.
All the pistels are nice and brow and like 10% of the trichomes started to turn amber.
For me that is the point of harvest. Also the terps are at the peak of their smell production.
Was please with how the plant was trained loads of branches filled with bud, Not all of them are dense and firm. but will be enjoyable to smoke for sure.
If i wanted to the plant to be filled with dense buds, I has to remove more leaves to be sure the light penetrated deeply.
Also the terps on this plant really reminds us of the Purple Haze combined with some fruity sweets.
Really a lovely smell come of these ladies.
Next week will have the harvest report and some hash making from the plant material.
Green greetings!
This Black Cherry Soda, Really lives up to here name.
It has a very fruitful smell, that goes combined with a fruity smoke.
This is really a social smoke! Has a uplifting effect and will put a smile on your face.
When this plant is grown in a place with other plants, she will be the dominant smelling one.
For growing she is not your ideal lady, she produces many big leaves, creating a lot of shadow that won't please your canopy.
Train and trim here well if you want here to be produce full.
The hash made from this plant is just amazing, and is the first strain we extracted and had purple coloured hash.
And the taste of this is just unreal so fruity, a must try.
This lady tends to stay small, but the she has quite a explosive veg time. She will not grow tall but she will produce many side branches that will continue side branches. There for the plants can be very leafy, and will produce unnecessary shadow that will block the canopy. Due to blocking of the canopy after the 5 first CM high chance useless pop corn bud will develop.
So with this strain it is very important to train her wel and make sure the light can penetrate the lower branches aswel, if you want to have enjoyable sweet dense buds all of the plant and branches.
Have a good grow!
They look great. Wouldn't even consider harvesting them currently, wouldn't consider stressing them either. I swear, if you harvest that stuff in a week, I write you off too.
A friend of mine has very similar looking autoflower indica-like plants, so I'll be checking this out. I'll try upload some pictures of his plants soon (older than yours, much bulkier/larger, incredibly saturated, outdoors but in a 20l pot).
Don't harvest too early dude, patience is key (check my diary), you could get double the yield and potency (not just THC, but CBD and CBN and the other 70 or so cannabinoids too...) with a bit of extra waiting time relative to your current growing time. I have some pink/red pistil plants too (though not autoflowers, they are monstrous. Check out #24 for a panama-like pink pistil plant).
The cover pic for my diary is from a panama-like pink pistil plant, the density is insane.
Here are some pics of it:

Not kidding, those branches alone probably weigh close to 500-1000g.
Good luck...patience is a virtue.
I added seedlings into 3 gallon containers treated with everything in the biotabs starter kit (except orgatrex) and my autos got extremely burned. 50/perlite/50soil, I think the fact my seedlings only we’re just showing their true leaves combined with a bit of overwatering in week 2 is the cause. Would orgatex have helped buffer? Any insight?
@CRiSPrGrow, yes for sure will use the autopot system again. am totally hooked on the system.
The biotabs will work fine with out the system.
It is just super handy combining them, because the growing/ flowering will get worry free ;)
Good luck with your grow amigo!
