California Octane - HSC

Hey guys, I'm running 2 pheno's of this genetic for over a year now. Some tips: extremely vigorous through veg, very forgiving as well. Training and defoliating will be nearly constant. 1 pheno runs 65 days flower, the other 55-60, the latter being heavier on the indica side. Both produce similar chunky flowers that will require lower humidity. Do not sleep on the humidity levels, especially in the final few weeks. This looks like a nice healthy start. Good airy medium. I recommend a good mycorrhizae supplement. Trust me, you can use nearly any ferts, but don't miss on the mycorr's especially in your medium. Your girl looks incredibly healthy praying to the mars god. I do agree the production seems a bit behind at this stage. If your plant had any health problems this would be understandable. Your lights seem a good distance and power. The only thing I can think of is a light leak or 12/12 light schedule interruption at some point. I doubt it though, they do look right at the stage where they begin to explode in weight, so its likely that in a week everything is looking way heavier. Humboldt says 65 days or 9.2 weeks flower for cali o. That's about what I did, but with aeroponics it always seems a hair more accelerated, could be placebo. I'd gamble your looking at 65-70 days ripe and stacked, no worries. 👍 *edit* agree one last defoliation, big fan leaves below the top canopy. you got a lot of light in that tent, should be some nice lower down flowers too.

Whew! she has entered the explosionary veg stage. I do hydro, my last run Cali O was asking for up to 2.4 EC at the end of veg, couldn't believe it. Most canna strains i've run top out around 1.7 EC in veg or flower. Both the Cali phenos I have stretch quite a bit during the early flowering weeks halting vertical growth at 2.5-3 weeks flower. Still early days, but you have what looks like my indica leaning pheno. Its the one I think Humbolt meant to pop every time. Probably the frostiest strain i've ever grown, but I don't have a mass spectrometer so who really knows lol. Looking absolutely perfect, can't wait to see next week doctor funk! 😀

Lookin good Doctor! New growth healthy. Its possible you may have had your light a bit to close for a time or still do. Just check with your forearm or hand, if the radiant heat is too hot for you at 16", its definitely to hot for them. Lights vary a ton, but mine are recommended at no closer than 18". Not hating at all though, this is going to be a banger if you keep it up. keep rollin.

Those roots n nutes are DIALED. Beautiful. You definitely got some indica leaning pheno. The other one I have has distinctive long thinner fan leaves. 👍
