Well, venturing into new territory here! Trying my hand at cloning my Wonder Woman photoperiod from nirvana seed. About 6 weeks veg were the mothers. Used clonex and dipped the stems. I’m trying pro mix and perlite as my medium, right into the pots they go!
Got an extra tall propping tray, super reasonably priced at HTG supply! Wish me luck!
12 days later, I thiiiiink we’re finally in veg? Lost a few cuttings, wilted and never recovered. I think I pinpointed it to being near the side vent of the tent. Even with the humidity dome and heating pad. Closed the vent flap and set the exhaust fan to run regularly to keep fresh air exchange happening.
I have e 5 gals that are hanging on. Let’s see if they can survive the jump to full on veg.
Catching up on my diary entries 😇
4 survived, and definitely in veg as I’m seeing new growth. Some sad looking leaves but new growth seems to be doing ok!
It’s hard to know what week things are with clones. I mean I’ve been keeping track sort of but these look nothing like where my gals from seed would be at 5 weeks veg. But! Still pretty excited about this cloning process in general, a 5 pack of seeds I’ve found is between -35 per 5 pack where I’ve ordered from. So having insta free plant generating ability is pretty dang cool.
Still just biding my time til the big tent frees up. Slow and steady wins the race turtle
New growth looking good, some funky stuff going on with some of the other leaves! Trusting the process and hoping things keep growing in the right direction!
My flower tent is not ready anyway lol so I’m in no rush. This is definitely a pro of photoperiod. I’ll let em grow and have patience with myself as I go! Not bad for my first clone attempts.
These gals really took off in growth for the 3 I potted up. Thinking I’ll take some cuttings from these gals soon and start the process again. THE CIRCLE OF LIFEEEEE!
Also, peep the MoonCat nail polish 💅🏼 😎 I’m in love.
Getting caught up! To be honest as a new grower, I’m still getting in the hang of (and developing stamina for!) continuous grows. After harvesting my first run of this Wonder Woman strain, I sort of slacked off with updates. I really appreciate the beauty and resilience of these plants! Basically I tried to keep them watered and looking ok, but I let this tent go on auto pilot for a bit! Took a min to sort out the nutrients I think, being lazy and lacking space in the smaller tent, I kept these gals in pretty small pots! I prepped pots to make a few more clones. This would be 3rd gen clones and probably my last run from the og plant!
Girls aren’t looking the greatest right now but I know they are resilient af! Potted up to 10 gal pots, made sure to prep a nice batch of fresh soil with castings and Gaia green amendments. Bent those gals over and threaded through screen. I hd take clones several days before I did all this. Stressing them to the max, but I know they’ll be ok.
Alright girls, get it! Really bouncing back and looking good this week! I’ll probably let veg for a few more days and think about flipping these two ladies to flower next week perhaps!
Filler photos for now, going to add more shortly. But it’s been about 10 days since pot up, I just flipped to flower and am about to do a nice ol trim below the canopy screen. Godspeed my ladies!
1/19 Here we go! deciding if I want to try lollipopping or not. But i need to decide fast because i just flipped to 12/12. Flower time my clones. Godspeed!
1/27 Here we go! About 8 days since I switched to a 12/12 light cycle and I’m starting to see signs of bud development on both plants, creamy white hairs developing at nodes.
Seemed about time to amend the soil, I followed gaia green, bloom instructions and added 1 tbps per gallon, mixing with extra soil and plenty of worm castings. Watering in from top. I had several inches to spare adding soil, things really settled after repot.
2/7 Here we are wrapping up the second week of flower. Things are going smoothly! Watering, ph-ed to about 6.8. Seems like they’re needing water every 4 days or so.
I’ve been very pleased with the ratio of pro-mix, worm castings and Gaia green soil amendments I’ve been using! The gals seem to be very happy and I love not having to mix nutrients in the watering each time. Living soil all the way!
2/10 Well, we’re starting week 3 of flower. Buds filling in nicely. Watering needed about every 3-4 days currently. Hard keeping the humidity up with my fan running to keep things cool. Helps when they’ve gotten a fresh drink!
Here we are, week 4! I badly need to get in there and do a defoliation. But life has been keeping me away!
The tent is booming. I let the watering get away from me, they’ve been thirsty girls! But in my oversight, the gal on the right started flopping. I rigged up some support from above. Keep on trucking girls! It’s probably about time for a reup of nutrients as well.
