Well look what time it is, it's time to get back to growing! Took the summer off, and now that the cooler weather is back were back to growing indoors under the Photontek lights. This run is a cross of my two favorite strains, Blueberry and Slimer. Seeds came through between 3-5 days. Using the Autopot 15L pots with the Aquavalve 5.0 and Air Domes. HP Promix with 25% perilite added. Stoked to be back at it!

Good week, just forgot to crank the lights up to 400 once the leaves started and they got a bit leggy. Easy fix just some light support and they're good as new. Coming along quite quickly for only one week. Still not watering, soil nice and moist from initial watering of 3L per pot prior to planting

Well here we are! The end of week two of veg (day 19 from seed) and the AutoPots have already been turned on for 3 days! By far the earliest I have ever turned the system on, normally it is around 21-24 days from seed. The plants were not watered aside from the initial 3L per pot on day 1 when the seeds were placed in the soil. Picked the pots up on Day 16 and they felt almost dry, so I turned the system on and the girls started drinking the next day. No drooping just perky, happy plants! Time to sit back, keep the reservoir filled, and watch these girls explode now that the AutoPots are on. Probably start training in the next few days. Lights 16" @60% 500-520 umol/s. Very even spread

Another week in the books and these girls have really started to take off! Growth in height is a bit deceptive, because half way through the week I started training them lightly. Mainly just pulling the branches apart slightly and lining them up for a more filled in canopy. Only 2-3 ties per plant, because they are naturally growing very bushy like. Out of say 8 branches per plant maybe 4-6 were all the same height already, less work for me I like it! That's my normal experience with blueberry, I find they grow quite bushy. Showing sex already, I would expect to see start of flower sometime around the end of this week. Carbon filter now installed as my wife was saying 'a smell' was noticable. I can never tell until theyre well into flower don't have the best nose Lights 12" @60% 550-560 umol/s

So it looks like we have reached the end of veg and the beginning of flower! I noticed on day 30 from seed that I could see flower starting on the tips of the branches and by end of week (day 33 from seed) they are 100% into flower. Reservoir needed filling day 30 so switched over to flowering nute plan. Also took the time day 30 to give the girls a good cleanup. They were getting quite bushy so removed the lowers to hopefully help lessen popcorn buds down the road. Also relocated the LED driver to outside the tent, I figure at this rate I may be close to top again by the end! All on all good week, can't wait to see these girls motor along.

Another week has come and gone and these girls are quickly outgrowing the 4x4! Even with defoliation they're packed in the tent, so much so that when I cleaned up some leaves half way through the week I was actually finding condensation ok them. This is with multiple fans running for circulation and good airflow. Means it's time to get one of these ladies out and into her own home (3x3) to give the other 3 plants some breathing space. No issues at least and otherwise the girls are looking pretty healthy. The smallest has discoloration near the edges, but it does look a week behind the others so maybe just the flowering nutes when they weren't quite needed yet. Will be the one going to the 3x3 so can dial back the feed a bit and see if bounces back properly.

End of week 6 and the girls are looking great! Gave them a good defoliation first day of the week (day 41 from seed) because I couldn't get the humidity below 65%. Glad I did, they were so bushy and lots of little branches in the middle, now so much cleaner and much much more airflow. Not sure if because of trimming but they barely grew this week. Blueberry is typically a bit shorter though so may just be the strain. Three plants look very similar with one plant looking 5-7 days behind. Starting to see colour starting already might be some beauties coming! Watering 3 liters a day per plant, just chugging along as the buds come in. Light up to 90% at 18" hitting 700umol/s. Was another good week this week. Seem to have figured out the brown spotting, started adding sensi-calmag to the mix and the spotting has stopped and leaf color is darkening back up. Not sure if was from calmag deficiency or low nitrogen, but either way they look better so it seems like it was the right call. Did a light defoliation early in the week, maybe a dozen leaves per plant. Just the usual stuff under canopy or bunching too much. Has been much easier to keep humidity down since the heavy defoliation a week ago. Buds are really starting to look good on three of the four plants with the front left being furthest along. She is starting to pack frost already! Back left still looks a week behind, but coming in strong. Could this be a come from behind winner? Last day of the week took apart the Autopot system for a good clean. Clean the res, flush the lines with line cleaner, pull and clean the valves with dish soap, cleaned out the trays, wipe down the underside of the pots and back together it all goes. Been running for 40 days and this is the first clean, should be the only one as there's only maybe 40 days left. I find the B52 builds up a bit of sludge after a month or so, but worth using have seen noticable better grows since adding it to the feedings. Either way, an hour of work once a grow is nothing to complain about VS all the time out in hand watering. Also a big improvement on the newer 5.0 valves vs the previous generation. They are about double the diameter, so they gunk up MUCH less and fill a lot faster. Using the old valves I was cleaning every 1-2 weeks depending on feeding frequency. Wow I can't believe we are at Day 61 from seed already! The girls are coming along very nicely, good size buds and a nice aroma already. The front two are ahead of the back two by 5-7 days it seems, already heavily frosted while back two are still fattening up. Might mean a bigger harvest off the back two with the longer flowering time 🤞. I notice that with autos, sometimes one or two out of four will finish 5 days ahead of the others. One of the reasons I'm glad to have a seperate drying tent. Lowered the lights a bit to raise the umol/s up to 750-800. Otherwise just a light defoliation on the girls second day of the week, maybe 30 leaves total with the back two losing more than the front two. Lots of airflow now and not having any issues keeping humidity down, has been 58-59% but will lower to 55% for the last few weeks. With higher temps I'm still hitting my VPD target of 1.0 so not too worried. I've flowered plants at 60% right through to finish before without issues, just need a lot of air exchange and flow through the canopy. Exactly why I have fan above and below canopy and extractor always running. Can't wait to get these girls finished up and sampled! Last few weeks are always the longest hahaha. As we round the corner on this week the finish line is starting to come into sight! Ending the week on Day 68 from seed and these girls are really starting to shine! Front left is just a crystal packed beast with golf ball sized buds (or bigger) well spaced out along the stem, more like blueberry tends to grow. Front right is showing very similar traits, while back left and right are larger more connected buds, more like Slimer tends to grow. Cool to see the two different bud structures in the same grow, fun thing with autos you know they will be close but always some differences! Buds are just plumping and firming, getting ready for their big day on another few weeks. Water intake has slowed as expected for this stage in life, 32L every four days instead of every three. Was an easy week work wise, just a light defoliation of mainly the back two plants, probably 20 or so leaves each. Back two are still seeming to be maybe a week behind front two, but they seem to be catching up fast. May have to get the second reservoir set up at the end of need to ween first two off the feed earlier than last two. Good thing is I have three full sets of AutoPots so not a problem, although I may have a problem with collecting grow gear hahaha. Can't help myself, I see stuff selling for super cheap used or clearance from stores closing and think "sure I could use another set of those". Got my last set of 15L pots in upgrade packs on clearance. Each pack came with the pot, the tray, and the 5.0 valve with all the fixings for just !!! Honestly how do you say no to that I don't know. The end is near! Front two plants were switched to flawless finish on second day of the week. By the end of week have reached the end of their cycle at 76 days from seed and are being chopped later today. Since the lights turn off in the morning and on in afternoon will be "tomorrow" as far as days from seed is concerned. These two girls are just packed with crystal and are full of rock hard buds. Kinda neat how the buds went from a pinkish colour last week to a darker colour this week. Every spot I check the trichomes now has a decent amount of reds in it so it is time for them to come to an end. By far the two most crystal packed plants I have grown so far! Back two have bulked out even more over the course of the week, but trichomes are still 80/20 cloudy/clear and just seeing the first random red here and there but very infrequently. So once I chop down front two I will switch back two to flawless finish and aim to harvest probably in 5-7 days. Will be good to give them a bit more space and light penetration for their final week, pump every bit we can out of them. This grow has been a great way to start off the season, nice easy plants with minimal maintenance and a great structure. Very little training and a nice even canopy without stressing the plants in the process. Lights 90% @ 750-800 umol/s Exhaust 6" @ 40% Intake 4" @ 60% Water 16L every 3-4 days

Well this is it! The front two girls were harvested on the first day of the week (day 76 from seed) and the back two will be harvested tomorrow at day 83 from seed. Had left back two in to finish ripening and wow did they ever finish nicely! Just showing reds in every photo now so the time is here. Plus all the leaves are curling and drying, and water consumption has ground to just a trickle These last two are swollen up and rock solid buds, might be the heavier yielding of the 4! Lights were reduced to 80% at beginning of week and girls were flipped to just RO water and flawless finish to clean them out. Otherwise just working on my patience and trying not to harvest before they were ready hahaha. Once we get it harvested its time to clean and flip the tent and get the Purple Urquelle in cause she's outgrowing the 3x3 in record pace haha.

Always a conflicting time, happy the grow is over, excited to try the buds, but sad that they plants are now gone. Removed all fan leaves and hung delimbed in the dry tent. About 21°C and 59-60% RH for 10-14 days. Will cure 2 weeks afterwards.
