„Don’t panic, it’s organic.“ SOUR JEALOUSY - Fast Buds
Dear gardening friends, I'm happy to finally have found time to share my last summer indoor grow with you.
The successful germination was already on 25.05.2024 and my harvest festival was already on August 5 of this year. Unfortunately, I was so blasted away the last few weeks that I lacked the desire to write and document because of all the drive.
First things first:
SOUR JEALOUSY by Fast Buds is absolute madness in plant form.
Therefore, I was more than busy with my tasks in life.... 😆😉
But here it is, my Grow Report:
Sour Jealousy - FAST BUDS
LOTS OF FUN WITH IT!
Day 2#
… After a nap, at least that's how it seemed to me, my little darlings apparently couldn't be kept from seeing the light of day for long.
And at this point, after 35 years of cannabis, I really have to say:
Fast Buds are the liveliest and most reliable little friends I've ever experienced.
At the beginning of the second week, one of them started to completely freak out and mutated with all the impossible possible symptoms on the leaf pattern.
I think maybe the soil life, i.e. the microbiome, was still too busy in the process of conversion and metabolism. And experience has shown that the Trichoderma bacteria usually take different amounts of time to symbiotize with the seedling and substrate.
Also Myccorhiza.
Yes, the second week was mainly:
Hope and fear.
But it turned out that all 4 of them just needed some getting used to it before they flew past in the fast lane.
And for the first two weeks, I left the lamp on 24 hours a day, hopefully to promote healthy young growth.
“Don’t panic, it’s organic.”
The radiation intensity at this time was set to 207 ppfd, i.e. 23% of my Sanlight Evo 4 - 80.
Scary mutations - yes, but I was once again allowed to learn and suffer so much... ;-))
But patience and love pay off. I can tell you that much. 😁
At the end of the third week, I decided to prune the two bulkier phenotypes. Finally, I wanted to make sure that the plant canopy of all 4 would end up as homogeneous as possible in the flowering.
A brief foretaste of what awaits us at the end:
Reliability, unmistakable beauty, power and dynamics, yes that's what I associate with SOUR JEALOUSY by Fast Buds.
So, never change a running system.
Please don’t give up on a seemingly weak young plant. I think that would be a big mistake.
“Don’t panic, it’s organic.”
Have to take a sleep now, see you later and thanks for joining my grow diary’s.
Can’t wait, to show You the rest of this fabulous adventure.
Bee 🐝 positive, take care and stay tuned…
1st week generative phase:
Pre-flowering and the next problem with the two topped specimens:
Yellow leaf tips - too much nitrogen.
I just thought:
Close your eyes and go for it.... Organic cultivation regulates itself - well, at least in theory.... 🤣
Cannazym works wonders! I love to highly recommend. I work with it from pre-flowering to harvest and gently increase the dose.
A word about water quality... 💦
I now use oxygen-enriched reverse osmosis. Since here in Berlin the pH value is basically very hard (very calcareous water) and not all plants can cope with it, I decided to invest there.
Not cheap, but incredibly effective.
Week 6
2nd week of flowering:
Slowly but surely, the whole thing had taken shape. And in the way I'm usually used to.
"Sow love, reap happiness."
Hello dear plant friends, please forgive me for my time delay in the grow diary. A lot is happening in real life for me right now and I had to get used to it. Unfortunately, one of my beloved cats died suddenly for a reason unknown to me. A long-time friend and companion. And in addition, I am very busy modernizing my grow room, expanding capacities and the current grow also requires a lot of attention, as I am passionate about new crazy training methods. All this distracts me from my grief and the loss of my dear furry friend and helps me a lot to get back on my feet mentally.
Well, I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer, so here's a little preview of what will change and why.... 🤩
But that was only a short fitting and both lamps will of course come in a new generous Homebox 100 Q +
I think the time has now come for me to leave the tried and tested old shell and go new exciting ways. I feel ready for the next challenges in this wonderful field of gardening.
Dear people, be curious about what is to come. I can't wait to share it all with you.
And now back to week 6 and last summer's Grow...
Enjoy! 😊
And again my Biotabs was my secret weapon: the fermented compost tea an outstanding game maker.
I usually start at the end of flowering week 2 and combine it alternately with the enchanting Bio PK - Booster from Biotabs until shortly before the end.
I am firmly convinced that these two components complement each other super nicely.
Here and there a small sheet error, but it was already quite clear in which direction it is going from now on:
Potency, potential growth!
I realized abundantly, Sour Jealousy, You are my girl. I want to work with You in a sustainable way.
And something else I noticed. Especially in contrast to several other automated varieties.
Sour Jealousy, she takes her time in the cycle of growth. For us gardeners 🌾, this means - versatile training methods are possible and really recommendable. In my opinion, she is in no way inferior to a photoperiod lady!
You realize very quickly how important it is to acquire hand-picked breeds. I think Fast Buds presents us with a true masterpiece here. In every respect.
Hey who's turned the clock again, is it really that late?! ⏰🙃
I forget to sleep sometimes, because of all the passion.
Best regards and good night, see you tomorrow!
Stay tuned, safe and bee 🐝 positive!
@ the beginning of week 8:
As usual, I alternate Biotab's fermented compost tea in the generative phase, alternating weekly with Bio PK Booster and regular Cannazymes to clean up the gears of my ladies again and again... 😁
From week 9 onwards, I couldn't get out of my amazement:
In the mornings and evenings, the daily changes to the ladies were too serious! 🤓
One more word regarding the use of super soil.
Dear people, whether you believe me or not - I am using this 80 liter of soil for the 7th time.
I always prepare them for the next grow during the run by adding enzymes to the soil non-stop. This kills two birds with one stone:
On the one hand, they clean the root system of dead tips and very quickly convert organic residues into bioavailable sugars.
And that's just one sensational side effect of many. Furthermore, after each run I only add some Starttrex from Biotabs, Silicium Flash and very little pre-mix from Bio Bizz.
About 3 handfuls of fresh perlite and on top some peat-free potting soil for the first 5 cm on the surface, so that the protégés can spend a relatively quiet start to life.
In the meantime, the soil activities are so strong that I only use 1 Biotabs per 17 liters of fabric pot. And I'll add them in week 2. And with week 2, all ladies will get a super neatly pre-fermented compost drinker (vaccination) consisting of:
Aerated and osmosis purified water, Bactrex, Myccotrex, Dynomyco, and Orgatrex 5 ml per liter of water.
The PK composted tea alone is also a precursor for the following run…
Feed your microorganisms and not your plants.
It pays to rethink!
In my eyes, organic cultivation is art and pure enjoyment!
A plant that sits and lives in her food, does not have to make an effort. It will have to develop very differently, than a plant that is allowed to live organically. It forms a symbiosis with soil life and is forced to interact.
Do you want to be a person, who has everything - in abundance - instead of grateful, happy and satisfied letting the small pleasures in life slowly grow - with a healthy appreciation?!
And you know what:
Whether I have a few grams less available in the end through organic cultivation, than after a period of fattened cows, at least compensates for the fact that the terpene profile is generated in a much more multifaceted way. The same applies to flavonoids.
They are another secondary metabolite of many plants, including cannabis. They often contain a broader spectrum of antioxidant effects that contribute to longevity and overall health. Especially in organic farming.
Maybe it's just a question of philosophy and taste! Factory farming is also worthwhile somehow - at least for factory farming, but/and less for his animals or our environment.
In any case, I strictly reject mineral fertilization.
Of course, that doesn't mean that I haven't tried it too. But the smell of the earth alone was extremely unpleasant to me. 😵💫
And if you know how mineral fertilizers are made, you know what you are doing to yourself, your body and the environment in the long run.
Whether vegetables, fruits or cannabis - organic is organic!
All's well that ends well. The last 2 weeks there is only purified water and enzymes.
Temperatures down.
Humidity down.
And slowly starve and die of thirst.
Always a little difficult for me - saying goodbye! 👋
I make tea from the sugar leaves and also like to use them for cooking. Flash-frozen, they remain nice and fresh and aromatic.
Have to sleep now, but see You tomorrow, sleep well 😴 take care, stay safe & bee 🐝 positive…
Peace ☮️
Pictures say more than 1000 words...
In any case, Sour Jealousy is a successful surprise at first. The effect has far exceeded any expectations on my part. So much for that. Incredibly energetic. Constant urge to move, followed by irrepressible ingenuity and the urge to do countless unaccomplished things, haha!
Also as the base for good sex, that’s how I feel about it: Ideally suited.
A tireless energy boost for stressful everyday life, without feeling annoyingly unwinded.
My recommendation for experienced THC pilots without immature personalities.
Medically effective! That's how I see it for me. Worries and fears are blown away.
However, slight paranoid thoughts could arise when coming down. You are just incredibly active and vigilant.
Music is crazy fun, or sports activities. A trip into nature can also inspire your inner parts wonderfully.
It makes me act in an insanely focused way, similar to coke. But it also makes it difficult to calm down, haha!
Take care & bee 🐝 postive!
Yours,
Alpha_Green
