The EVO 4-80 is designed for cultivation areas 80cm deep and is the luminaire of choice if you really want to achieve the highest lighting intensities on footprints of at least 80x80cm. However, for the smoothest culture possible, we encourage gardeners of all experience levels to use the optional dimmer in that case. Young plants in particular can be sensitive to high lighting intensities. This will allow you to use less than the 255W and also reduce the lighting intensity of the total 696µmol/s.
