This week marks the beginning of vegetative growth for the cutting I received from Dennis. I transplanted her into coco coir, which I soaked with tap water beforehand. I then mixed about 4 grams of Bio Grow and Bloom per liter of coco coir, along with some mycorrhizal fungi to help establish a strong root system.
I decided not to give any additional water for the rest of the week to encourage the roots to search for moisture. The lighting started at 40%, giving the plant around 125 PPFD at plant height, and I gradually increased it over a few days.
For the first half of the week, I kept the VPD between 0.8 and 0.9 with help of a humidifier and then increased it slightly to hover around 0.9-1.0. The leaves are showing slight signs of deficiency, but the new growth looks alright, so I’m hopeful. She’s still developing her root system and just needs a bit more time to settle in.
