Number 4 (Amnesia Haze photoperiod) started smelling of cannabis since her 2nd week of veg. Her 3 sisters before her didn't smell of cannabis, not even in bloom.. Why? What alters the smell of plants from the same genetics, when all other conditions are the same?

This is called phenotypes every strain has several different types of plants, which leads to different optical taste and smell, and then there are some mutations like in lemon haze that don't get good terps and very fluffy buds. Amnezia Haze has a specific smell that is present at the beginning of flowering, it seems to me that you got with the other two a different phenotype. Wait for their development, for sativa It is normal to get the full potential in really late stages of flowering.

AH Veg Week 1 (11 days old) - technically, she's not homeless The Amnesia Haze is temporarily in an other tent whilst the new tent is being cleaned and disinfected. I expect the new tent to be ready around the 1st of October. She's in a 40L Vivosun Fabric Pot, with a riser and drip tray. She is 18 days old and two days into the vegetation stage. Preparing an autoflower from Fast Buds to keep her company.

AH Veg Week 2 (17 days old) - Finally in the new tent! AZ Veg Week 0 (6 days old) Amnesia Haze: You can't see it very well from the pictures but I don't think she liked her temporary stay in the Secret Jardin tent. Her leaves show signs of something I can't quite make out. There are yellow discolourations -primarily happening with the eldest leaves- and I don't know if that due to nitrogen, calcium or lighting related. Temps and humidity in the tent were stable and I was extra careful not to overwater. As her roots more than likely haven't traveled far enough yet to reach the bottom layer of nutrient rich soil (BioBizz All Mix), and she hasn't been manually fed yet, I decided to start including CalMag and Bio-Grow to her watering. Let's see how she responds to a half-dose of each. Amnesia Zkittlez: Germinated within 24 hours -yes, I had a peak.. multiple times- and seems to be enjoying her 40L home. The lighting setup - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000, daisy chained at 40%. I'm hoping to control the main areas of par better than I could with one SF2000 light. Though the SF2000 was definitely considered.

AH Veg Week 3 (23 days old) AZ Veg Week 1 (11 days old) Amnesia Haze: Don't know if the camera picked up the discolourations better this time, but the new foliage isn't affected by any abnormal yellow areas. Nor has any of the elder foliage shown an increase in yellowing. That's a win in my book! Fed her one more half-dose of CalMag and Bio-Grow before increasing to the full recommended dose. We'll see how she takes that in next week's update. The lighting is still hung at 50cm from the canopy, at 40%. I think this could be reduced or the light hung higher though. She is growing bushier than her sisters (r.i.p.) and not much hight wise since last week. Instead of listening to this impulse, I'll leave the lights as they are one more week and see how she's developed. The fabric pots are very effective as well. Number 4 needs watering just as often as I am used to but the soil in these pots dries out in its entirety, not just from the top down as I am used to with plastic pots. Also, the drip trays have proven their worth multiple times. I didn't expect the water to seep through the pot as quickly as it does. Had to adjust the watering technique after that.. Get back to you in next week's update.

AH Veg Week 4 (29 days old) - she's bushy. AZ Veg Week 2 (14 days old) Amnesia Haze: Patience paid off. She grew 4cm since last week and exploded with lettuce-like crunchy foliage! Which could be due to the full dose of CalMag and Bio-Grow she received the beginning of this week. I am still of the opinion that the light could be dimmed to perhaps 30% or hung 10cm higher, to encourage vertical growth. She looks so bushy in comparison to the description of her genetic nature, which is to grow tall. The nodes on the main stalk are also bulking up (reminds me of the "knuckles" that can form on stems at the area of HST) which isn't too surprising considering the fan leaves are bigger than my hand. The main stalk is having to hold some weight already and I guess the nodes are being stressed. Is that a good sign? Lastly, I removed the two bottom leaves to help with airation. Other than that and the topping, nothing else has been done to her. Amnesia Zkittlez: She has only received filtered and ph'd tapwater, with a half dose of CalMag so far. I haven't decided yet if I want to get her on the BioBizz feeding schedule as well or not. See you next week again. edit: two days later the untidiness of the AH started getting to me so I started LST and removed three leaves that were pointed inwards. AZ is now 10cm in height. Decided to start her on minimal feeding of Bio-Grow and topped her.

AH Veg Week 5 (35 days old) AZ Veg Week 3 (21 days old) Amnesia Haze: Once again, patience paid off. She has grown nearly 6cm since last week, with LST applied. As she keeps growing the next days and weeks I'll have to keep an eye on the distance to the lighting. She's already within 45cm of the lamp above her. Her foliage grown past the point of my comfort zone and I've been fighting off the urge to defoliate her for several days now. It's obvious the leaves are not getting the space they want. Tonight might just be the night I grab the pruning sheers. CalMag application seems affective. She's not showing the yellowing signs on the new leaves though, the yellowing is becoming stronger on the older fan leaves. I don't know whether to increase the CalMag dosage from 0.5 to 0.7 or, leave it as it is and just let the leaves do their thing. Since I am currently indecisive on this issue, I'll leave it for now. She has a weak to normal oder already. No citrus. No earthiness. No spice. Just pure marijuana scent. This wasn't the case with her three other sisters (rip) and it makes me wonder, what causes this? Amnesia Zkittlez: Grew nearly 2 cm since last week. Doesn't seem to be stunted by the topping and the two main stems are continuing to grow at their normal pace. AZ Nutrients - After much consideration I started her on BioGrow today. First dose was 0.5ml/l and I expect to increase it to 1ml/l by the end of the week. According to BioBizz, when using LightMix soil, I should be feeding her 2ml/l in the veg stage. That leaves room to increase the dosage later, if she shows signs of desiring it. See you again with the next update. 24 October 2024 - AZ is definitely female! Lowered her lamp 5cm (45cm distance from plant) in the thought she will now be needing the extra few par. Light intensity still daisychained at 50%. Might undo that soon and regulate her light separately.

AH Veg Week 6 (42 days old) AZ Flower Week 1 (28 days old) Nothing should be unintended with cannabis. Every cut. Every fold. Every watering. One does it in that moment with an intention. And if you want dank buds, you better have good intentions! So what happened to Number 4? And my intentions behind her? Did the AZ auto react to her pre-mature topping?? That's this weeks update, for those that haven't seen the pictures yet. Amnesia Haze: Butchered. Absolutely butchered. She was so beautiful and bushy, until I taste tested her half-failed sister Number 3 (rip) 😇😇😇 I only intended to foliate her! Get rid of a few fan leaves and let some light on the lower growth... one joint later and I was envisioning Number 4 having multiple main lines, similar to Number 3, but bigger. She's left with 4 main stems and two side stems on each. The lower two stems were removed, even though they grew just as high as the rest of the canopy, because they were going to be fighting for light and space with the side stems. I'd rather have fewer stems if that means the remaining ones have room to expand. She should practically fill up the 4x2 tent on her own, in about 10 weeks, after AZ is done flowering. Now the preparations are taken care of, let's get her strong and growing outwards! AH Nutrients: CalMag is still at 0.5ml/l and BioGrow is still at 1ml/l. She's not showing any signs of deficiencies or burn. I hope it's not my impatience talking but the thought of gradually increasing the BioGrow to 2ml/l has crossed my mind. Not that I have any complaints about her current growth. If she's going to be grown wide and large, she's going to need the nutritional care. That decision will be made, having NOT smoked beforehand.. actually, every decision here on in will be made sober 😅 Amnesia Zkittlez: For those that didn't see last week's update, she produced her first flower and made it clear, she is female 😂 Feeding and lighting has been adjusted accordingly and will be further adjusted when needed. It's a waiting game now. Either the tap root touched the bottom of the pot, or something hard in the soil. Perhaps the topping triggered her to go into flower? Maybe it's due to her being 21+ days old and it's her biological time as an autoflower. Whatever the cause, the clock is ticking now. I'm curious if she is going to grow out more before the flowers start to shoot out. Her current size (22cm) worries me. Her stems aren't developed to the point where they'll be able to nurture nor hold a yield worth mentioning. I hope time will prove me wrong and this first experience with an autoflower will have me attempting more runs. Though, the curiosity what would happen if the AZ was fed full doses of nutrients during veg would be well worth another run. She's getting thirsty. I'm having to water her nearly twice as often as the AH, which is a good thing. It feels odd. Normally this would be the time one would be considering one last defoliation, or mainlining before the rest of the flowers start popping up. The only foliage on her currently are the two large opposing fan leaves high up on her stalk. they are clearly blocking the growth under them. Now it's being mentioned, brb, need the clean the pruning sheers.. AZ Nutrients: CalMag is still at 0.5ml/l though, as seen on the pictures, there is something odd going on with her older fan leaves. The yellowing issue from AH is now with AZ as well affecting the older growth. I was able to capture it properly in a picture this time. So what's up with it? Too much CalMag? Too little? Is it sign of a different issue? Too little Nitrogen? Let's hope the new feeding shines a light on what is going on. BioGrow is still at 1ml/l. This will be increased according to the recommended feeding schedule from BioBizz. BioBloom and BioMax were both introduced today too. Both at 1ml/l. Yes, full dose from the start. She received her first feeding today. I'll check up on every 6 hours (or so) the next 76hours and see how she responds to the new nutrients. Any signs of dissatisfaction and the soil will get flushed. If she smiles though... 😎 See you all with the next update. Update 31 October 2024: AH and AZ doing very well. No signs of light burn on AZ as she continues to grow towards the light. She's now within the 40 cm distance range from the lamp. As long as she's enjoying the par!!

AH Veg Week 7 (49 days old) AZ Bloom Week 2 (35 days old) Amnesia Haze: Made a full recovery from the LST and butchering. The past week, she has started needing water more often. The two litres she was getting every four days is no longer sufficient. She's receiving 2L+nutrients every three days. Day three, her soil is nearly bone dry. Not sure either if it's genetics, due to the LST, or what not but her main stems are turning purple. I first noticed it last week, near the main stem. This week it spread of the side stems and up towards the foliation. AH LST: She should grow outwards a little more, so her LST has been adjusted accordingly twice last week. Hence the lack of growth upwards. She sure is filling out though! Won't be long and her stems will be going vertical, together. AH Nutrients: Same since I started, 1ml/L Biogrow + 0.5ml/L CalMag per watering. The CalMag could probably be reduced to 0.03ml as there are no signs of deficiency or burning. I may try it this week. Amnesia Zkittlez: Either she is growing normally, or she's stretching. She's growing nearly 2cm per day with no signs of heat/light burns on the upper canopy. She's well within the 40cm range of the lamp (50% intensity) though, the nodes are growing more closer together. That is either due to the warmth of the lamp or the flowering stage, or both. She has pre-flowers everywhere now and after I sat down and looked her over for nearly an hour, I can confirm, she has no nanners 😁 AZ Nutrients: Same as last week, 1ml/l Biogrow + 1ml/l BioBloom + 1ml/l TopMax + 0.05ml/l CalMag. The yellowing on the older leaves hasn't increased nor gone away. There is no yellowing issue on the newer growth. Guess the current dose of CalMag is sufficient. Could probably increase it to 0.7 or 0.8ml/l and see if that has any effect on the older leaves. On the thought of increasing the dosage of BioGrow to 2ml, the feeding schedule advises 3ml/l in the third week of bloom. That is usually about the time flowers are noticeable. Mine is still in the pre-flower stage. As she has pre-flowers everywhere, I am going to increase the BioGrow and Bloom gradually to 2ml/l. Starting this week. Hope this isn't too early or too late to start! AZ Lighting: Still daisy chained at 50%, but the plant is growing taller, quickly. She'll be needing the benefits of 60%-70% intensity really soon but AH is nowhere near that kind of requirement. (Actually, AH might benefit more if I were to raise her lamp by 5cm, up to 50cm distance from plant. Leaving it at the current intensity) That would mean, disabling the daisy chain and regulating each light on its own. AZ LST or defoliate: Nope. Just the one topping, removal of the two bottom fan leaves and that's it so far. I took a picture of her from the side. You can see just how much room she has to branch out. I had contemplated pulling her top two main stems to their sides (LST) but after her undergrowth caught up this week, I realised it wasn't necessary to train her. Her canopy is nearly flat as it is. Nothing to do but keep her happy and let her do her thing! Looking forward to next week's update! Update 06 Nov: New pictures of AH and AZ. Not much to mention on AH, but AZ! She's growing and flowers are starting to form on the upper canopy. AZ Nutrients: Increased BioGrow and BioBloom to 2ml/l each. CalMag increased to 0.7ml/l AZ Lighting: Unlinked the daisy chain, raised the lamp to 45cm from the plant and increased the intensity to 60%.

AH Veg Week 8 (56days old) AZ Bloom Week 3 (42 days old) Amnesia Haze: There's not much to tell about the past week. She's growing outwards (as intended) and upwards. It's a waiting game though, until AZ leaves the tent for harvest (ca. 6 weeks). Let's see how big she can get the next weeks! At some point I will have to defoliate her a little. As you can see in the pictures, it's getting a bit crowded in the undergrowth. Amnesia Zkittlez: 45 cm tall! She outgrew my handmade ruler this week 😂 The bud sites are starting to show as well! Removed 4 leaves this week that were shadowing flower sites. You can't see it very well from the pictures, but her stems and main stem are thickening up. Dunno if it's from the nutrients or normal behaviour, but a couple of weeks ago I was nearly worried the stems were so thin they wouldn't be able to carry much yield. I'm starting to feel as though my worries were unjust 😅 Light is now hanging 50 cm away from the plant, currently at 60% intensity. AZ Nutrients: CalMag at 0.7ml/l - BioGrow 2ml/l - BioBloom 2ml/l - TopMax 1ml/l Sorry for the short update, but not much happened this week. See you all with the next update!

AH Veg Week 9 (63 days old) AZ Bloom Week 4 (49 days old) Amnesia Haze: Is starting to show signs of what looks like stress and possible nutrient deficits. If you look at the leaves, they are starting to fold inward. A couple leaves have brown rusty spots on them and they are brittle near the tips. Considering the plant has been using this soil for 9 weeks now, I presume the nutrients have slowly been used up. To combat this, I will increase the BioGrow to 2ml/l and give her a top layer of Epsom Salt. Also an increase of CalMag from 0.5 to 0.7ml/l will happen with her next watering. Feel free to contact me with other suggestions if you have also had these issues! Amnesia Zkittlez: New Question has been uploaded, as her new growth is starting to look unhappy. The mature leaves are fine. Temps and humidity are relatively the same as they've been the past weeks: 20C / 50%rh so I take it it's not heat related. I can't imagine the increase of BioGrow from 1 to 2ml/l is the culprit, but what do I know. It shouldn't be due to overwatering, because she only gets watered when her soil is dry. That's once every two to three days. Crossing my fingers this gets sorted asap! AZ Update - 6 hours later: She's perking up again! Thanks to community members Lerome and AsNoriu for their suggestions! Both suggested Magnesium deficit and AsNoriu pointed to possible wind damage. Gave her 1ml/l CalMag and changed the fan setup in the tent. Both plants received a top dressing of bonemeal and epsom salt as well. Unfortunately, AH didn't like this and she's showing nutrient burns on the tips of the leaves. I think that's due to the increase of CalMag from 0.5 to 0.7ml/l. May have to flush her soon.

AH Veg Week 10 (70 days old) AZ Bloom Week 5 (52 days old) A few changes were made since last week, and by the sight of these two praying, I'd say they are enjoying themselves! With help from the community, the issues that were present last week are well on their way to being conquered. And with that, a new issue arose... more to that later. Lighting and fans have been adjusted for the winter months that have come to Germany. They are now setup so as the warmth off the lamps is now being circulated through the tent. This has affected the plants as well, in a good way. Amnesia Haze: She flowered. I don't know how. I don't know why, but she flowered. I'm refusing to adjust the light schedule from 18/6 for AZ's sake. This means, AH is going to be sent back to veg stage, or so I hope. Other than that, she's looking healthier and happier! Her nutrients have been adjusted and she's being watered every 24 hours now at a new ph of 6.5 instead of 6.1 Now the temperature in the tent has been risen a little, she's getting thirsty 😊 The ph was increased to see if it would help her with nutrient uptake. Mission successful. The yelling on the tips of the leaves turned brown and brittle his week. After the ph adjustment and nutrient increase, the problem didn't come back or worsen. AH Nutrients: BioGrow 3ml/l + CalMag 0.5ml/l every other day. Pure filtered water ph'd to 6.5 on the off-days. AH Lighting: The past week the intensity was gradually raised to 80% and daisy chained the two lights again. I know, it's a big jump from 40 to 80. It was raised to increase the temps in the tent. That she enjoyed it was a welcome surprise. And boy is she drinking because of this. I hope the process of revegging won't stunt her too much. As much as I love the smell and taste of this strain, when it's from well, she might be too sensitive for my newbie hands 😂 Amnesia Zkittles: She's well on her way to recovering from last weeks issues. The increased lighting, watering, nutrients and tent temperature really did the trick! She is drinking a lot more which is a good sign. The flowers and flower sites don't seem to have grown much since last week. I supposed they would seeing as week 9 is four weeks away. Something tells me, she's got a surprise up her sleeve yet... She's producing trichomes though! And she's 6cm taller, standing proud at 52cm 😁 AZ Nutrients: 3ml/l BioGrow + 3ml/l BioBloom + 1,5ml/l TopMax + 1ml/l CalMag every other day. Pure filtered water ph'd to 6.5 on the off-days. AZ Lighting: Looking back, I didn't mention it in last weeks update but her light was adjusted to 40cm above the canopy. Intensity was gradually increased from 60 to 80% and daisy chained with the other light. We're still in the waiting game folks.

AH Veg Week 11 (77 days old) AZ Bloom Week 6 (59 days old) okay, right off the bat, both plants were defoliated this week and they were introduced to two new feeding habits. I started them on BioBizz Microbes and chucking the leftover vegetables and fruits onto the soil. This should combat nutrient deficiency in the future. To help break down the veggies and fruits, I ordered some compost worms 😁 more specifically, red wigglers. When they arrive, I'll apply a top layer of AllMIx and let the worms loose. Amnesia Haze: She's grown 10cm in two weeks. I think that is partially due to the triggering of pre-flowers. It may also be due to the increased light intensity. However, she is going strong and upwards! AH Nutrients: Still using 3ml/l BioGrow + 0.7ml/l CalMag. Now included is 0.04g/l BioBizz Microbes and leftover veggie/fruit cuttings. AH Watering: The watering has been increased to 1x every 24 hours. Even when the top layer still looks moist she produces no runoff. Due to the increased temps, ph increase of 0.5 to 6.5, and increased nutrients, she's been getting very thirsty! Seeing her growth, I think it's safe to say that this is paying off too 😀 -------------------------------------------------------- Amnesia Zkittlez auto: After removing her lower shutes this week that weren't recieving much light, and a quick defoliation, it's a waiting game for the buds to thicken up. Officially she should be in her last two weeks of bloom though she doesn't look it. AZ Nutrients: Still using 3ml/l BioGrow + 3ml/l BioBloom + 1ml/l TopMax + 1ml/l CalMag. Now included is 0.04g/l BioBizz Microbes and leftover veggie/fruit cuttings. The BioBloom and TopMax will be increased respectfully when the buds start to thicken. I assume, 4ml/l BioBloom and 3ml/l of TopMax should suffice the first week. AZ Watering: The watering has been increased to 1x every 24 hours. Also she produces no runoff. -------------------------------------------------------- See you all in the next update! -------------------------------------------------------- AZ Update 04 Dec. 2024: She's moody again 😂 Yesterday she showed the first clear signs of buds starting to thicken. As intended, she received the increase of TopMax (from 1 to 3ml/l) to her feeding. Using the following chart, I'm trying to figure out what her complaint is https://420life.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Marijuana-Leaf-Deficiency-Chart-scaled.jpg Seems like an excess of Potassium. Perhaps I was too quick with the increase 😅. If she shows more signs within the next 12 hours, I'll flush the soil.

AH Veg Week 12 (84 days old) AZ Bloom Week 7 (66 days old) Due to the addition of red wriggler worms, the occasional table scraps and Microbes last week, I reduced the amount of BioGrow (just a little bit) that are being added to the water. There have been no signs from the plants that they aren't enjoying their soils inhabitants, so I'll keep feeding them this way. ----------------------------------------------------------- Amnesia Haze: She's getting considerably bushy again and I'm going to have to defoliate her. Hardly any light is reaching through the canopy. I'm thinking of removing a few side shoots and see how she looks after that. Other than that, she is ready for more LST. Directed outwards, left and right. She should comfortably fill out the tent 😄 AH Nutrients: BioGrow reduced to 2ml/l + CalMag 0.5ml/l + Microbes 4g/l. It's safe to say, worm castings could now be added to that list as well 😂 ----------------------------------------------------------- Amnesia Zkittlez auto (60cm tall): She is obviously happy! Loving every minute of the light intensity increase today. It's now at 100% at 35cm distance from the tallest bud site. As she thickens, she can sweat 😝 Oh, she smells. Something really strong. Something really good! Something really sweet, yet earthy! AZ Nutrients: BioGrow reduced to 2ml/l + BioBloom 3ml/l + TopMax 3ml/l + CalMag 1ml/l + Microbes 4g/l With her next feed, the BioBloom and TopMax are both going to be increased to 4ml/l. Her buds are thickening up and some of the pistol hairs have gone orange. Let's see what she can do with the extra P and K. ----------------------------------------------------------- The worms get checked on 3x's a week to see if they are still awake and eating. I also checked that they were in their correct spot in the soil as well; just under the first two layers of topsoil. And yes, there they were. AH soil produced its first mould, which I am told, is a good thing? That's somehow hard to imagine. The worms supposedly love the stuff. As long as the plants are healthy though, right? See you with the next update.

AH Veg Week 13 (91 days old) AZ Bloom Week 8 (73 days old) Both plants seem to be doing well. The worms too :) There are a couple of issues at the moment, but I'll get to them a little later. ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Haze: Even after feeding her 5L, she produced no runoff. I do not know if that's a good sign or not. As I don't want to flush the soil, I didn't dare attempt any more water for the sake of measuring runoff. It may not be clear for the pictures today, but she recovered from the LST and she has a wonderful sea of green going on. Now would be the perfect time to flip her to 12/12 but unfortunately AZ isn't ready yet. Going to have to hold off with the flip for about another two weeks or so. Her soil is filled with roots. It's so full, the roots have started growing through the bottom of the fabric pot (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of that). I'm contemplating looking for a bigger pot before flipping her. On the other hand, it's a 40L pot!! That should be more than enough to get her through the rest of her life. I'll have to decide quick though, because she may stress out if I repot her after the flip... AH Nutrients: Due to the new growth being lighter coloured, I increased the BioGrow back to 3ml/l to try and increase the Nitrogen intake. Today's feeding looked like this: Microbes 4g/l + CalMag 0.5ml/l + BioGrow 3ml/l + ph down to 6.5 ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Zkittlez auto: Other than a few leaves showing signs of nutrient lockout, not Nitrogen related, she is doing very well. The buds are thickening up and the flowers are changing colour from green to purple. The amount of white pistols are getting less and less as the days go by. She is currently sitting at about 20% white pistols, and 80% orange. Hence why I decided today, to stop feeding her nutrients. She will receive microbes, to help with the uptake, but no extra additives. The worms can continue to do their job though, and what they produce can be used by the plant until it's time to cut her down. I assume, it'll be another two weeks before she's ready :) Perhaps you have an other opinion after seeing the pictures made today? AZ Nutrients: As of today: 0.4g/l Microbes + ph down to 6.5 AZ runoff: After feeding her 3L of ph'd food, I hit her with another 2L of non ph'd (7.7ph) tapwater. I was able to collect about 0.8L of runoff which measured 7.09ph. I think that's due to the last 2 litres not being oh'd down to 6.5. Next watering, I'll ph it down to 6.5 and measure the runoff again. AZ smell: As of yesterday, she smells like fruity citrus. You remember how the original yellow Skittle candy tasted? That's exactly how she smells 😃 ------------------------------------------------------ I am very happy with the results this week and am waiting anxiously to chop down the Zkittlez 😇 Having patience is said to payoff in the long run, so we'll see soon enough. See you with the next update! ------------------------------------------------------ Update 17 December 2024: Documented the nutrient issue the Amnesia Haze (photo) is having. Still can't find what she is complaining about now.. https://420life.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Marijuana-Leaf-Deficiency-Chart-scaled.jpg Amnesia Zkittlez (auto) is looking beautiful though 😁

AH Veg Week 14 (98 days old) AZ Bloom Week 9 (81 days old) Sorry for the short update this time. There isn't much to report on. Waiting, waiting, waiting... 😂😅 ...we're almost there though! ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Haze photo (45cm Tall) Nutrients: Microbes 4g/l + CalMag 0.7ml/l + BioGrow 3ml/l + ph down to 6.5 Increased the CalMag and BioGrow to combat the nutrient deficiency from last week. ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Zkittlez auto (60 cm tall): Nutrients: 0.4g/l Microbes + 1ml/l CalMag + ph down to 6.5 Included CalMag back into her diet due to a couple spots that may be Cal/Mag related. Other than that, she is just getting ph'd water and eating whatever the worms leave behind. ------------------------------------------------------ See you with the next update! ------------------------------------------------------ 25 December 2024 AZ declared herself ready for cropping. Pictures of this will follow soon. Hence, the Amnesia Haze has all the room she wants. AZ's soil has been kept and the worms can continue to do their thing. When GP (Grandaddy Purple auto) is big enough, I'll transplant her into the 40L pot. I think I need to increase the CalMag uptake of AH.

AH Veg Week 15 (105 days old) AZ Bloom Week 9 (85 days old) RIP Amnesia Zkittlez 23.12.2024 The Amnesia Haze now has the tent alone, with the Grandaddy Purple. ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Haze (photo): Her issue is NOT nitrogen deficiency. The issue increased as I increased the BioGrow. Her runoff measures 6.5ph exactly. Once this issue is solved, she'll be flipped. AH Nutrients: Microbes 0.4g/l + CalMag 1ml/l + BioGrow 1ml/l + PHDown to 6.5 Increased CalMag by 0.3ml/l and reduced BioGrow from 3ml/l ------------------------------------------------------ Amnesia Zkittlez (auto): She snuck up on me and decided it was time to go. I checked up on her after the lights-out period and nearly 15% of her trichomes had gone amber. Hope that is visible from the pictures. Her six colas produced 180g of super sticky wet ganja. After trimming nearly all the buds, they got hung up in a drying tent (15C , 60%rh). ------------------------------------------------------ update 31 December 2024 Amnesia Haze photoperiod: Removed the six affected leaves and will keep an eye out if the problem returns. As she seems otherwise happy and has fully recovered from the latest LST, it was time to flip her. So starting tomorrow morning, she will be on 12/12 lighting schedule. And what about the Grandaddy? She'll be on 12/12 as well. She's an automatic. She can take it :P ------------------ Amnesia Zkittlez automatic (RIP 23.12.2024): She's dry. Put what's left of her in a mason jar and set her in a dark place. Now the burping starts. How does she smell? Initially like hay. I think the 15w fan in the drying tent was too strong for the 40x40x120 drying tent 😂 The fan was pointed at the floor of the tent, as too provide airflow but not directly on the buds. Yet still the buds smell of hay. Let's see what the curing process brings!

Bloom Week 1 (112 days old) Since the Amnesia Zkittlez (RIP 23.12.2025) has been chopped, this diary will be a bit simpler to upkeep. I still haven't made a decision about the root mass. The pot and soil is filled with roots. Under normal circumstances one would search a bigger pot and transplant. I on the other hand didn't. Looks like the decision has already been made. It's too late to transplant her now. The next 20 weeks are going to be difficult when it comes to watering.... Pictures of the visible roots included this time. -------------------------------------- Lighting: The light schedule has been set to 12/12 since the 1st of January 2025. So perhaps, with a bit of luck, this week will be her first week of bloom and we'll see the beginning of the stretch! Light Intensity: Light intensity has been increased to 60% at a distance of 50 cm from the plant. -------------------------------------- Nutrients: Same as last week except the new addition of Bloom and TopMax. 0.4g/l Microbes + 1ml/l CalMag + 1ml/l BioGrow + 1ml/l BioBloom + 1ml/l TopMax + PH Down to 6.5 Oh, don't forget the worm castings too! Those guys are probably sh*tting up a storm in the soil. Runoff PH is at a consistent 6.5 -------------------------------------- Jan 8 2025 Amnesia Zkittlez auto (rip 23.12.24) One and a half weeks into the curing process and today was the first measurable sign of progress! The rh in the mason jar was a constant 61% this past week and a half. As of this afternoon, it's at 53% 😎 I opened the jar and wasn't greeted by a hay smell. She's starting to smell like cannabis again. -------------------------------------- Jan 12 2025 (119 days old) Updated the (Flower) Week 16 diary with new pictures. As she hasn't indicated any signs of flowering yet, I'm hesitated to start a new diary week. She has grown nearly 10cm in height since last week though 😅 As far as the nutrient burn goes, the jury is still out. It's either P or K related. Since I started her on Bloom and TopMax last week, she is getting both P and K actively. The burn came back, on two leaves and only two leaves this time. I'm inclined to increase the Bloom to 2ml/l and see if anything happens. If the problem persists, reduce the Bloom back to 1ml/l and increase the TopMax to 2ml/l. Then see what happens. -------------------------------------- See you next update!

Amnesia Haze Bloom Week 2 (123 days old) The flip was successful. At least, that's what it looks like to me. Despite the previous accidental flip and reveg, she flipped and started bloom this time after 8 days of 12/12 lighting schedule. She's going to need a small defoliation come the weekend. -------------------------------------------- Nutrients: Microbes 0.4g/l + CalMag 1ml/l + BioGrow 1.5ml/l + BioBloom 2ml/l + TopMax 1ml/l + PH Down to 6.5ph BioGrow was unintentionally increased from 1 to 1.5ml/l. This was due to me originally making a batch for our tomato plant, but fed it to the Amnesia Haze instead 😅 As stated in the last diary entry, the BioBloom would be increased to 2ml/l to see if the nutrient deficiency persisted. Well, it did. Going back to 1ml/l BioBloom. Will increase the TopMax now to 2ml/l and see if the deficiency persists. I don't know what else to adjust after this if this fails.... everything else is dialed in. Runoff ph is 6.5 when her watering is 6.5 -------------------------------------------- Lighting: Adjusted the lighting from 60 to 50% intensity, at the same distance (40cm) today. Funny enough, her side leaves have been at the edge and sometimes directly under Granddaddy's lamp, without a trace of light burn!! Explain THAT one to me please! -------------------------------------------- Next diary entry will be next week. See you next update!

Here's what I make of it (and PLEASE correct me where I am wrong!) : The tips yellowing indicates, a nitrogen burn. The burnt brown tip indicates, nitrogen burned to long 😂 The black spots indicate, a P or K issue (as the leaves are otherwise healthy green in color)

Correct on the yellow tips = too much nitrogen. Dark spots looks like excess potassium. A deficiency will also have a yellowing of the leaf that coincides with it. Your best bet is to cut back on any additive of potassium thst you may be using. Also a slight reduction of nitrate for the time being. Make sure when watering you are getting roughly 10-20% water running out of the bottom. This flushes away and build up of salts left behind so you do not deal with excess nutrient build up. I would mix up a lighter batch of nutrients and feed off till you get about 50% run off this next feeding. You will essentially replace anything in the soil with a lower amount of fertilizer by doing this. Hope this helps.

I think your panicking. It does not look like it close to finishing. Some strains cloud up faster then others. It does not mean they will turn amber right away, the plant still dictates a bunch of stuff. Keep it going and it will reward you well. I also see some signs of Ca issues in your diary and a bit of burn. are you following the feed chart and its ratios of products? https://www.biobizz.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nutrient-Schedule-EN-2024.pdf

January 20: Small defoliation. removed all the leaves affected by the potassium burn. Watered 4L today and fed her CalMag 1ml/l + ph down 6.5 Runoff was on spot again at 6.5 -------------------------------------------- January 22: She was thirsty again today, so she got watered. 4L of water, CalMag 1ml/l, no ph down to 6.5. What? No PH Down to 6.5?? Nope. We're trying a new thing. My topwater measures 7.2-7.5ph. The vermicomposting and living soil SHOULD be adequate to regulate the ph. Let's find out! Runoff was 6.8ph The Potassium issue reoccured on new leaves. A lesser amount of leaves this time, but the issue persists nonetheless. The soil isn't entirely ready yet. And a worm jumped ship! By the looks of it, half dried out, it was climbing the plant and fell from a branch. Why dafukk was it crawling the plant though?? Gonna have to figure this one out before more follow him. Raised the light up 5cm to a distance of 40cm (40% intensity) again. -------------------------------------------- January 25: Removed a few more leaves affected by the nutrient burn. There are less this time so progress is being made! Some of the affected leaves didn't even fade yellow yet and had already developed brown or black spots. This makes me wonder if Potassium is the only problem at hand. To combat the "ROOTS BLOODY ROOTS" situation, she received a top dressing of LightMix and was watered immediately afterwards. Today she received her weekly Microbes and a dose of CalMag. .4g/l Microbes + 1ml/l CalMag (a ph of 7.1 was measured and her runoff was 6.8 again) I know. I know.. I said I wasn't going to actively feed the worms anymore but concentrate on feeding the microorganisms. Well what is half an avocado doing in the soil then? Feeding the worms.. Sorry but avocados were on sale today at the supermarket 😌 It's been five days since the last time I used the ph down. Plant, soil and worms seem unaffected so far. Keeping an eye open. The vermiculture SHOULD be able to handle and regulate itself by now. Though I've been reading that the microorganisms also benefit from and consume BioGrow/BioBloom/TopMax, it can't be risked at the moment until the Potassium issue is solved. -------------------------------------------- See you next update!

Amnesia Haze photo End of flower week 4 She's getting frosty boys! ------------------------------------ Jan 26 Problem persists. The leaves are yellowing less yet brown spots are appearing. It seems the Potassium issue may be nearing its end. I think the dark spots may be ph or even Nitrogen related. The leaves are on the stiff side and they are staying quite small. No defoliation today. ------------------------------------ Jan 28 Checked to see if the worms are eating from the avocado and to my surprise I was greeted by a youngling! The worms are laying eggs and eggs are hatching. That's a terrific sign!! The medium is (or was) good enough for reproduction too and the younglings can survive. Still flushed the medium though 😂 Watered her 8L of dechlorinated water + 1ml/l CalMag. Ph was 7.1. Runoff was 7.0. 😡 Not happy with that at all. I'm seriously contemplating using ph-down again to get things back into the safe zone. Defoliated after taking pictures to measure new damage. ------------------------------------ Jan 31 Watered her 4L of dechlorinated water + 1ml/l CalMag. Ph was 7.0. Runoff was 6.9. Still not happy with this result but I'm also not sure I want to start the ph-down again. Problem persists. Measured the distance to lamp again to get a clue of when the stretch was stopped completely. No defoliation today ------------------------------------ Feb 2 Her soil isn't quite ready to be watered yet so she'll get her weekly microbes with the next watering. She grew 2cm in two days. The stretch is almost over! Problem persists but not as bad 😅 If you look well you can spot the few affected leaves. Seems the flush did her good. ------------------------------------ Finished off with a picture of the setup. Fans up top blowing the warm air down. Creating a breeze without blowing directly on the budsites. See you next week!

Amnesia Haze photo end of bloom week 5 it was an interesting week. The nutrient issue leveled out, she's done stretching and there were cloudy trichomes. (That last one nearly had me in a panic 😅) -------------------------------------- Feb 3 She received her weekly microbes and I adjusted the lst on her main branches to pull them outwards just a little more. This way more light gets down past the initial canopy. She was fed 0.4g/l Microbes + 1ml/l CalMag + PH Down to 6.5. 4l of dechlorinated tapwater. Runoff was 6.7. Yes, the PH Down has been introduced again to regulate the previous high runoff. I don't see any other leaves affected by the issue. And the leaves that were already affected, don't seem to have gotten much worse. It'll be time for a defoliation soon and any new damage should be immediately visible. Also, to help feed the microorganisms, I dried some used coffee grounds and worked 3tbsp of it into the topsoil. -------------------------------------- Feb 6 Received the normal watering, 4l of tapwater. 1ml/l CalMag + PH Down to 6.5. Runoff was 6.5. Measured her today. She's 67cm tall. That's 2 cm taller than last week. It's safe to say, the stretch is over 😂 With the stretch over, it's time to increase the light intensity again. Raised from 50% to 60% at 35cm. Will raise it again in a few days (if all is good) to 70%. It would be nice to get it to 80% within the next two weeks. -------------------------------------- Feb 9 As she was thirsty again, I fed her her microbes for next week. Along with her tent-mate, she was also introduced to a weekly half-dose of TopMax. Its sugars should help feed the microbes and the other nutrients should be very helpful for the plant and roots. It doesn't consist of any N, P or K and shouldn't disturb the plant any. We'll see... 4l of dechlorinated tapwater + 0.4g/l Microbes + 1ml/l CalMag + 0.5ml/l TopMax + PH Down to 6.5. Runoff was 6.5. Got around to taking a couple of pictures of a few bud sites. I'm loving how the leaves around the sites are all praying!! -------------------------------------- Defoliation incoming soon. Now the nutrient issue seems to be somewhat under control, she'll need to be checked for new damage. It'll improve the airflow between the lower bud sites as well. See you next update!

Amnesia Haze photoperiod End of Bloom week 6 She's finally been defoliated. She is stabilized 😎 and showing signs of deficiency. Time to increase N P and K slowly. And she's getting thirsty. There is a notable difference with this week and the past 6 weeks. ----------------------------------- 12 February Checked in on her leaves and there are no signs of new damage. On the contrary, the leaves in the undergrowth are starting to yellow, which should mean that the nitrogen is finally depleted and she is starting to takes nutrients from her own reserves... the leaves. Will wait to do anything as she may find a pocket of nitrogen in the soil somewhere. Watered her 8L of dechlorinated tapwater + 0.5ml/l CalMag + ph down to 6.5 Runoff was solid 6.5 😎 Light intensity increased to 75% ----------------------------------- 16 February No signs of new damage 😎 Leaves in the undergrowth are definitely yellow and she is in need of some nitrogen. Will start her of on the m minimum 0.5ml/l and work my way up. Today is Microbe day! Watered her 8L of dechlorinated tapwater + 0.4g/l Microbes + 0.5ml/l CalMag + 0.5ml/l BioGrow + 0.5ml/l BioBloom + 0.5ml/l TopMax + ph down to 6.5 Runoff was 1.5l and a solid 6.5 again😎 BioGrow was introduced again to regulate the Nitrogen. I only intend on giving it once a week, but we'll see how she responds. If she needs it every watering, she'll get it. BioBloom was introduced again to regulate the P and K. Same thing here, she'll get the minimum dose once a week. If she wants them more often, she can have them 😁 Questioning one of the Moulds developing in her pot. The spider-web formed mould is the good mould. That much I know. The worms and microorganisms will eat that after I mix up her topsoil. That other mould though. Dunno about that one. It looks like it started around some blueberries I chucked in there a while ago. ----------------------------------- Other than that, she didn't grow any. Not 1cm taller. It does look as though the bud sites are thickening a little. Maybe she didn't like the light intensity increase to 75%. I'll keep an eye on her the next couple of days. See you next update.

Just break it up with a fork os similar tool, it will not harm your plant, it is feeding on decaying organic matter, but it is an indication that your substrate is too wet, too often and too long. If it is really bothering you, scoop it up with a spoon and replace the old soil with fresh soil.
