Man I'm not ready for this yet but I've been nursing 4 Durban clones under T5's and 3 seedlings (Green Crack, Bubba Kush, and White Widow) under low power LED for weeks waiting for my last crop to finish up!! All good though as it's what one has to do with limited space in the middle of winter. Still haven't decided if I'm going to leave that one space for the fan or put another plant there. Clockwise starting from midnight - White Widow from Crop King (Germinated on Halloween for a spooky effect I hope), Durban Poison (clone from previous grow), Durban, Durban, Green Crack (left lower), Bubba Kush (Halloween germination), Durban, all from Crop Kind Seeds as I have not been disappointed with them yet. The center plant is a cutting from a flowering Ice Cream plant I had in my greenhouse to see what Monster Cropping is all about. I've also taken another cutting from another flowering plant behind my shed that I may add to the room in lieu of the fan. Various stages of clones/seedlings because who the fuck doesn't like a challenge eh? Nothing else to do in a Canadian winter 😱 I wanted to test a new product given to me from the grow store for roots. I would normally just use the flowering nutes for early root generation but why not try something more to see if it makes a difference. I'm super late for a few of these but it won't hurt to have a nice dose to soak the entire pot of 0-3-2. I want to start with the right plants and bugs in place to help deter gnats and mites. Keeping Basil and Cilantro in the room as well as feeding with Nematodes which populate the soil to help with various pests including fungus gnats. I have a number of Rogue ladybugs still wandering around so that will help pin down any further aphids or mites and rip their heads off if they cross the boarder. I'm further ahead in the grow right now but have been putting off typing this diary so i will update more frequently until I catch up.

Mixed 1tsp Nematodes in 12L jug but got impatient with the rain maker dispenser on my watering can not allowing water to escape fast enough so I removed it and made an absolute disaster out of each soil bed and got water all over the fucking tent. Oh well, I'll have a couple snaps of fresh cut Durban and deal with it in the morning. It's already 00:45 Added a lower dose of Prop-O-Gator 0-3-2 to finish off completely saturating the medium. I'm allowing the second week of root growth before feeding with it's veg food next watering. Removed all yellowing leaves this week as well to see if it's a case of the light being to close or just old leaves from the low wattage light they were under for their initial stages. Light is set at R50-W99-B99 and is only 32"-36" above the canopy. I need to test to see how they react so that I will know how close I can keep the light to the final flowers. Merry Christmas!!

Fed the plants just at the end of last week with 6L/ea of PH7.3 EC.85 using approx 2tsp/12L of Easy grow 5-4-7 veg nutes. I have given the plant two weeks of pure root juice in the beginning in hopes of expanding the root system quicker for better water/nutrient uptake as well as all the other obvious reasons. The only nitrogen available to them would have been from the worm castings that I add to the soil mix so now I want to gently introduce them to a stronger nutrient solution in hopes of keeping those leaf tips unscathed but pushed as far as they can go. Just measured runoff from a couple of the plants and of course it's spoiling my plans of a trouble free grow with 6 strains already. Runoff from a couple of them had an EC of over 3.0-3.5! I think I underestimated the root juice liquid Prop-O-Gator I was giving them. Will need to give a good soak with plain PH adjusted water to flush out some of the salts already present to get ready for the next onslaught of food. It's a good thing it's just veg at the moment. I can always push them longer if needed.

Plants have been thriving for a couple weeks now. Took clones in case any of these new girls have crazy good pheno's that expose themselves. Flowering next week with R99 W99 B50 spectrum settings for the first two weeks and will then reduce the Blue spectrum further for the rest of the flowering process.

Moved light higher as it appeared the Ice cream and a couple Durban Poisons were not enjoying it at 36" above canopy. I have to respect this light more as it is intense. Either way, things seem to be moving along nicely with little to no problems other than the same small fungus gnat issue as well as thrips. Ladybugs are ordered and I also still have some Nemasys left over if needed to control any larger thrip outbreak. I'm good at spotting these little critters now!

No complaints other than some leaf burn from having the light too close but it's early and they will grow new leaves. Ladybugs showed up and I decided to just release all 250 into the tent in one stage this time. I'm hoping those numbers will annihilate the thrips, but more it's nice to be pro active in case of any unsuspecting prey wandering into the tent. They got lots of water this week as they needed water asap but I ran out of important nutes! Watered anyway and fed the next day. It's hard to overwater with HP soilless mix so I'm not too concerned. Plants are still stretching but I think coming to a close. I could have definitely let these veg out longer but it is what it is and I will learn next time.

Lady bugs are doing there thing but so many have already disappeared somewhere within the shed lol. Stupid bugs...the last crop had some beauties too. Needed to defoliate as they were getting pretty thick inside and I like to open up the bud sites and LST them for maximum exposure. Not only that, but the thrips LOVE the shaded leaves. Tested light down low to 34" above canopy and found out within a couple days that it was a no go. I just wanted to rule out a nutrient issue rather than light burn from this LED. It's a commercial edition so it does pack a ton of intensity but it's meant to be hung higher above the canopy. The spectrum seems to mix better from a higher point as well. I need to get more of these lights and test them out in series like they are meant to be run. Moved the light to ceiling height which is only 6'. Very healthy for the most part.

Things are coming along OK this week. Maybe I spend too much time with them but it just didn't look like much was happening this week. I am dealing with a bit of leaf burn from the LED so I moved it up to 48" and the plants seem to be responding better now. It could be it was getting too much stress from the light intensity. Will see how the next week goes. I was hoping to hit it again with Ton-O-Bud but I'm not sure it will be a good idea now that I'm a little behind. I'd almost rather start the finishing nutes for the Indicas but will see how the plants look when that time comes.

Anyone experienced leaf burn from a high intensity LED? I think that's what has happened to a few of the plants and I hope I caught it in time but the yellowing leaves don't seem to be getting any greener. They are starting to get a few random rust/dark spots on affected leaves

Hi @stevieb21! Yes this is a common issue, especially with such powerful lamps. Affected leaves won't recover and the yellowing will get worst, so you can tuck the leaves out once 40-50% of their surface is burnt. However, I have doubts regarding your symptoms, light burns usually don't look like this, and are are often accompanied with curling upward leaves, or other symptoms on the buds (bleaching, foxtailing..). My bet is that you overfed your babies and probably also overwatered the containers. Your medium looks really flooded with water on the video and your EC is extremely high. This leads me to think that your coco has become too "hot", resulting in nutrients lockout. This would explain the brown spots, the purple stems, and the yellowing. The rootzone is unable to manage Phosphorous and Potassium intakes. In this scenario I would give it a good flush with plain pH'd water before going back to a reasonable feeding schedule. Time is essence here and the quicker you'll react the best chances you'll have to save your crop's quality & quantity. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

OK, noticed the buds have virtually stopped growing for nearly the second week now. Flushed some water through to see if it would help at all. Plants seemed to enjoy the dousing but i did not run enough runoff through in order to clear up the PH issue that is hiding in my roots! The Bubba Kush hermied and grew a few ballsacks but I am so needing this Indica that I castrated it and put it back in the room all the while paying huge attention to ensure it doesn't produce any more. Risky? Extremely YES but i like it ;-)

OK, so I didn't think that growing so many different strains would be easy but I never thought I'd let it come down to nutrient lockout!!! i can only attribute this to a couple new products i'm using and not knowing how to use them properly. My plants did not get an abundance of nitrogen at all but rather Potasium and Phosphorus. I assumed it began with my light being too close, but I think it was the first warning signs of the plant not being able to handle what's at the rootzones of a few of the strains. After posting a grow question and getting an answer i looked closer at my girls and quickly realized what was happening and i began running 10-15 gallons of water through each pot. The stems were so red/purple it looked like they had extreme blood pressure issues! I used Potasium Silicate to raise the PH of the runoff water as my rootzone runoff was coming out at 5.6-5,8 while dumping PH8.5 in the top! I flushed until no more salts other than what's in the water was left in the soil but the PH was still coming in at 5.8-5.9. I can't imagine what the actual PH of the root zone was as it's being diluted and coming out that low! The Potasium Silicate is also supposed to help with the roots and allow the plant to more readily break down the nutes. I flushed until the PH came up to 6 and I figured this has to be enough to allow the plant to 'breathe' again. The next day i already saw improvement with new pistils and calyxes forming on most of the plants. Ice Cream, Bubble Gum, and 2 of the Durbans took it the worst. The rest seemed to tolerate the nutes a little more. I'm now left with yellowing leaves that I believe are permanently damaged but the sugar leaves coming out of the bud sites seem to be a darker green again for the most part. I'm not sure what I'll do today but I'm thinking I'd like to flush for a little runoff to see how the rootzone is doing now. If it's better then I might add a quarter strength finishing nutes in hopes to swell the buds to make up for some lost time. The Bubba Kush that hermied seems to be doing well. So far no new nanners but i know they are hard to spot so i will keep vigilant on this one. I really need an isolation room for times like this!!!

Ok well another couple flushes last week and these bitches are holding on for the finish!! It may not be plentiful due to the lockout but it will still be potent and sweet! White widow should be ready at the end of this week. Flushing them all anyways but the other strains are all 9-10W. Not sure I can take them that long with no nutes but I’ll keep a close watch to see how they respond.

Water water water water and more water. Flushing the shit out of these girls in order to try and get them to finish and at least have enough smoke to get me through until the next harvest 😬😬😨! Will push the widow to week 9 and harvest next week while trying to push the others for 10 weeks. I'm constantly picking yellow leaves that were damaged from the lockout. If you leave them there is a chance it could incubate bud rot as the leaf decays. It's a lot of work but the payoff should be good.

Took down the Widow this week. It'll be less than a zip by the time it dries but damn it looks good and sticky!!! Can't wait to smoke it! Took down the rest the following week. Again, nothing but water so these girls should be smooth as silk!

Absolutely love this strain. I know everyone, myself included, wants all the fruity stuff these days but you just can't beat the relaxation and calming that you get from a well grown Widow. The buds are very sticky and it burns super smooth. It took a beating during this grow and probably showed the least signs of stress. I wish I got more than an ounce off this girl but I'll treasure it until the next harvest!

The buds are very fresh but the first few snaps are smooth and is giving me cerebral effects with little physical effect. I like this strain and I'm looking forward to seeing how it cures out. Will post numbers soon but it is looking to be about 4-5 zips. I'd be way more specific if this grow went smoother but my headspace is already in the next one. Update - I'm going to have to say that this is my favorite sativa by far. With all the issues that I had to drag her to get to the end, it is extremely potent and smooth. Nugs are very dense and the smell will give you away for a block as it's extremely potent...can't pinpoint the smell but it's like a good old school smell. Made BHO from some of it and it came out crystal clear, light amber, and very potent! Will have this as my goto. Nice work crop king.

Just like my last report on this strain...it really smells like shit and I can't pinpoint it but I don't like it. I mean, I like how extremely pungent and weedy it is but I'm more of a citrus/berry guy when it comes to smells.

Weak mix of goodies in this particular plant as it's not nearly as strong as what I'm used to. I'll give it more time to cure out and see how the flavor changes but I hardly got anything from this plant as it was stunted so much.

This doesn't smell, taste, or hit nearly as hard as the green crack I've smoked in the past. It's got a really nice fruity type smell which I've never smelt before in GC. Either way it smells amazing, taste good, but isn't nearly as strong as I'd like it to be. That being said, this plant suffered and was a runt with a very small root system. The leaves were constantly droopy which looked like overwater/feeding. I'm thinking this particular phenom hates food. I'm growing 3 more clones of this strain to see if I can get it right.

Very nice smooth smoke with incredible pain relief benefits!! The only strain of all the ones I grew that completely takes my neck/shoulder pain away for an hour or so! I definitely want more of this but she hermied on me so I think I'll try a different breeder. It could be because I stressed the shit out of her but who knows. I'll say nighttime smoke or a relaxing type of day smoke.

Hermied on me but I pulled the balls and continued with the grow as I really wanted a night time strain. Glad I did. I can't comment much on the genetics as I fucked this grow up with too many nutes/high PH.

@stevieb21, hey, we all learn & improve each grow from those experience😉 seedsman, alchimia, zamnesia and etc big retailers of that kind, prolly gonna find some that deliver worldwide what i m doing is i browse strain over there or growdiaries, then directly order from the breeder web site when they have one, and lot of breeder deliver worldwide/ or nearly thoose day

@HerbalEdu, haha it is amazing stress relief spending time LST and training plants amongst the ferocious feeding ladybugs! BUT, I'm not proud of this garden right now however it's all part of the experience and will be logged to look back on and learn from 😅 I'm already looking forward to the next grow. Just wish I could get some new strains from other seed companies overseas. Want something different already lol

Just a warning, my Bubba Kush hermied on me. I did some digging and the Bubba Kush genetics from Crop King Seeds is very prone to hermie. Event their own company webpage reviews for Bubba Kush are riddled with problems and people saying it hermied. Yours looks in better shape then mine ever did but I'm just letting you know because it's common to hermie and now I've potentially got my other strains fertilized by the Bubba's hermie pollen. Hate to see you have the same issue and get hermie seeds out of your other strains. Just a heads up. Good luck

@stevieb21,glad I could help. I had them at F45 (few days into week 6) and some here already open and dried up so I had released pollen. So I don’t know how long it was puttin pollen out for could have been several weeks for all I know. I hate that this happened but I’m glad I could help you out. Crossing my figures no pollen got released in your grow.

@NomNom, Holy shit you could have saved my crop unless they opened already. Sure enough when I looked under their skirts....balls forming. Fack. I'm pissed now. I wish they could at least give a heads up. They won't allow us to buy regular seeds in hardly any strains either. Time to find a new breeder and spread the word. Sorry Crop King but if I get taken advantage of once...that's already once too many. @Spliffseeds looks interesting and new!

@NomNom, haha man i know I've been too busy to update, plus I'm not super proud of this run so it takes a little longer! Just finished cutting the last of the plants down 2 days ago so will get an update soon. Very poor harvest but beautiful smells and they should be as smooth as a ladies breasts to smoke as they've had nothing but water for the last month of their life 😂 Bubba made it with no more balls so it was a gamble that won this time!! I've since purchased a ton of new genetics from numerous breeders and am trying to figure out what to do next. Update soon!
