It's time to start the next growing season, and this round, I am to make my life as difficult as possible by growing five different cultivars in the same tent. I'm sure it will be a struggle to maintain an even canopy, but hey, we improve as growers by facing challenges and (hopefully) overcoming them.
I will keep a separate diary for each cultivar, and this diary will feature Red Pure Auto CBD from Sweet Seeds

I started by soaking the seed overnight in a glass of water.
The next day, the seed was placed in a moist paper towel, inside an old CD case, and placed on a heat mat.
Twenety-four hours later, we had a long taproot. I dusted it in myco before planting it in the pot.
The next day, she was already peaking out of the soil.
Boom! We are on the way :)
The first week has passed and there's nothing to report, except that she looks healthy and happy.
I had COVID this week, so I more or less ignored the grow the entire week.
VPD: 0.8-1.0
DLI: 25
Another week has passed, and she looks great.
The only things I did this week were adding a watering system and a camera in the tent, as I'm off on vacation tomorrow.
I returned home a few days ago after a ten-day vacation trip and found that she is now in flower.
It was overdue to train her, so I applied some LST to open her up.
She is pretty compact, and I hope she will stretch a bit to increase her size. I added an hour of IR light per day to encourage additional stretching. Let's see if it pays off.
I also elevated her pot to even out the canopy in the tent.
Another week has passed in the tent.
Earlier in the week, I brewed and fed her a compost tea from worm castings, insect frass, basalt, lime, kelp, dolomite, molasses, epsom salt, fulvic acid, and malted barley.
She looks healthy, although there is discoloration on a few leaves and leaf tips. It doesn't look too bad, so I'm not concerned.
I applied additional LST and removed a few leaves to increase light penetration and airflow.
She is a tiny girl, but that is alright. I grow this one for my girlfriend, and she doesn't smoke much, so even a modest harvest will last a long time.
This week was uneventful. All I did was to water and remove an odd leaf here and there as there isn't much else to do now in flower.
I'm not a fan of flower as it is so boring. It's just a looong waiting period until done. Gimme veg any day.
She is a squat little girl. Clearly stunted, but that is OK.
Her buds have bulked up quite a bit this week. Especially her main cola is chonky. I think I have to take care to avoid budrot, considering how compact she is, but at least the humidity in the tent has been trending downward as a couple of plants are senescing.
This grow has come to an end a bit earlier than expected. I found some budrot in her main cola, something I was almost expecting, considering how chunky and compact she is, so I decided just to cut her.
I hung her alone in the drying tent to not affect the other drying plants.
Now, we wait.
She was easy to grow, although she turned out stunted and compact. Unfortunately, she got budrot in her main cola. Probably because she was so compact that it was hard for the air to circulate. (I really need to improve airflow in my tent.)
Her buds are chunky, dense and sticky af with excellent bag appeal.
The terps are mostly sweet fruit with a hint of gas and citrus. Taste, on the other hand, is almost pure lemon.
Effect is relaxing and chill.
I left the tiny girl in the drying tent for 13 days. I usually let a plant dry for 14-16 days, but I had to get another plant into the drying tent, so she had to be evicted.
Trimming was a piece of cake since she was so tiny, plus I had removed most fan leaves before the dry.
Overall, it was an easy grow, but she did get budrot in her main cola due to being such a compact plant with chunky buds.
I will grow this cultivar again, as it smells and tastes fantastic, but I hope it'll stretch out a bit more next time.
