HazetownGrowt2021 Welcome to my grow!
This time all the seeds have germinated:
3x Karen Kush &
2x Black Orchid
I chose this combo because both Indica-dominant strains tend to grow compactly, respond well to LST, and should feel comfortable in the tent.
After 2.5 days in the paper towel, all were planted in small pots in the seedling box, where they will spend the first 10-14 days before moving to the "big" box.

HazetownGrowt2021 The little ones are holding up well. They are a bit small, so I hung the lamp higher and since then they have been developing better. I built a roughly 1m tall seedling box out of a cardboard box and a frost protection film, and equipped it with a 45W plant lamp, 2 small fans, and a hygrometer to bridge the gap a bit. In a good week, the big plants will be harvested and the little ones will get to move.

HazetownGrowt2021 The little plants were transplanted into 18l pots after 12 days and then got to move into the big box. The weakest of the 5 was sorted out, so now there are 3x Karen Kush and 1x Black Orchid left.
To make it easier for the plants to adjust after transplanting, I reduced the light to 60% for the next 12 hours. After 12 hours, I increased it to 80%, and after a day, I turned off the dimmer.
I mixed Monster Bud Mix fertilizer and a mycorrhiza mix into the soil.
Update after 15 days:
Overall, the plants look very healthy and have handled the stress of transplanting well.
I like Karen Kush 1 the most: best progress and very strong. Karen Kush 3 is in last place for me since it's a bit behind. Maybe it will catch up!
I'm looking forward to the next weeks!

HazetownGrowt2021 Overall, I'm satisfied with the development and growth of the plants, although there are some minor deficiencies to note.
Black Orchid has oddly shaped leaves, and the new leaves also look roundish.
Karen Kush 1 is the absolute front-runner and is the only plant showing no deficiencies.
Karen Kush 2 & 3 have light green stripes and are a bit smaller.
I'm closely observing the plants, paying attention to the appropriate RH and temperature values, not adding any more nutrients, and giving the plants the chance to grow further before I start training in week 4 or 5.
I'm really looking forward to the coming weeks and will provide more updates.

HazetownGrowt2021 Right on time after 4 weeks, I topped the plants above the fourth node. Once they’ve recovered for a few days, I’ll start the lollipopping.
All in all, they are developing well, forming healthy new leaves and looking strong. I’m curious to see how well the plants will respond to the topping.

HazetownGrowt2021 We're already in the fifth week and I'm really satisfied overall. The plants handled the topping on day 28 well, so after a few days of recovery, I was able to lollipop them nicely.
KK#1: Still my favorite, two nice new main stems.
Overall, all strong and healthy.
Max. 2-4 weeks until flowering is initiated!

HazetownGrowt2021 The plants are growing and thriving very nicely. I've been allowing KK#1 to grow very intensively over the days.
I've trimmed large fan leaves from all the plants to open up the center for light.
BO and KK#1 are very nicely tall and look very healthy. KK#2 is a bit smaller but also seems very stable.
KK#3 is the smallest and is developing light green spots on the leaves, so I've allowed it to grow less and only lollipopped it at the bottom.

HazetownGrowt2021 On day 47, I initiated the flowering stage. Before the flowering, I gave them a good lollipop and let the plants rest for four days before they could start blooming now.
In the first few days of flowering, the two left plants KK#2&3 grew strongly, so they are all almost the same height.

Super development of the flower cups. The stretching of the plants is slowly decreasing, as there isn't much space left to grow.

HazetownGrowt2021 The plants are developing great, forming increasingly thicker buds and looking very lively. Since my lamp isn't the strongest, I assume they'll take 1 week longer than indicated. They have been in flowering for 3 1/2 weeks now, and according to the breeder, Karen Kush should have a flowering time of 8-9 weeks and Black Orchid 9-10 weeks.

HazetownGrowt2021 After half of the flowering period (4.5 weeks), the plants look magnificent and healthy. They are still being fertilized, and for the first time, the plants have received a bloom fertilizer (RQS Bat Guano) in addition to the regular growth fertilizer (Bionova Boost Pack).

HazetownGrowt2021 The buds are getting thicker and the trichomes are slowly starting to turn brown/amber. Since Black Orchid supposedly needs a week less for flowering according to the breeder, it's already a bit ahead of the other three, even though the buds are a bit smaller. Overall, I'm very satisfied; KK#3 is now a bit further along than KK#1 and 2, although I expect the least yield from her in the end.

HazetownGrowt2021 In the meantime, we've already reached week 13 (week 6.5 of flowering), and I'm still very satisfied with the development. The plants have a maximum of 4 weeks left and will get about 2-3 more weeks of nutrients before I flush them.
Even though the Black Orchid takes a week longer in flowering, the trichomes are already almost all amber.

HazetownGrowt2021 Just before the harvest of the three Karen Kush, they look super good. They were flushed for just under a week and harvested after 107 days // 61 flowering days. Since I still have a little time before the new grow (Wurlz F1 Auto) moves into the big tent, I'm giving the Black Orchid a few more days.
