Black Orchid FL 1st Indoor

PotRul It grew a bit laboriously since I used the Biobizz AllMix soil.

PotRul Grows nicely in width but not really much taller.

PotRul As you can see, the AllMix soil was a bit too much for the plant. Since my other plant was affected much more, I didn't flush it and hoped it would survive.

PotRul I started the week by bending the side shoots with plant clips (LST). I also cut a few fan leaves due to fertilizer burn. Seems to be recovering well.

PotRul It's growing nicely wider. I've carefully started fertilizing again. The first flowers are beginning to grow. Very bushy!

PotRul The stretch is very low in height, but quite wide. Flowering is very nice and there are a lot of colas.

PotRul I did the lollipopping from the bottom up, leaving the first 3-4 nodes. Three days after I lollipopped, I saw a cola that I didn't like, so I cut it accordingly (picture). It's growing more wide than tall.

PotRul It's still growing a bit upwards. The head bud looks narrower compared to the other two I planted alongside it. Maybe it's just the strain. The buds are developing slower, but maybe that was the one cola I had to remove a few days after lollipopping.

PotRul The buds are slowly developing more and more. As I said, the growth is a bit slower, but maybe it will get a boost. After all, it’s still growing a bit upwards. Otherwise, it looks very potent and frosty. The rich terpenes speak for themselves; it would just be nice if something would form there 😂

PotRul My fears have taught me better. The buds are coming in more and more now. The long terpenes are still present. It's growing very nicely now. I stretched the side branches a bit with some kitchen twine so the lower ones can also get some light.

PotRul 3.11.2024 Today is flower day 49 and the buds are slowly developing more. The last 2 weeks have begun. I need to water them more often since they’re thirstier every 3 days. The leaves are starting to slowly discolor from the outside in. At the tips, they look dry; if anyone knows what it is, feel free to help me out. Some leaves that had turned yellow I was able to just remove by hand. The terpenes are still quite long and are changing color faster and faster. I hope the buds get a bit fatter. Since I’m growing 3 different strains at the same time, I’ve added another picture so you can match the buds in the photos. The smell is so nice now that I look forward to seeing my ladies every morning. Since I don’t have a tent, I ventilate several times a day to keep the humidity between 48-53%. Side note: My watering can is 2L and I fertilize as described above not for 1L but for 2L for the calculation. If you have any tips on what else I could document, I would be very grateful. 8.11.2024 Update: I added a few more photos after I watered and fertilized them again today.

PotRul 11.11.2024 Blütetag 57 und die Buds werden langsam größer. Laut Zamnesia blüht sie 9-10 Wochen also hat sie ja noch ein bisschen Zeit. Farblich ändert sie sich nur ganz leicht. Die Trichome sehen an den Blüten noch nicht fertig aus. Ein paar braune habe ich an den Blätter schon gesehen. Die Terpene sind noch immer hoch gestreckt und es werden immer mehr braun. Der Duft ist mittlerweile sehr intensiv. Da ich 3 verschiedene Pflanzen habe kann ich das leider nicht zuordnen. Ich dünge nach dem Biobizz Schema und habe letzte Woche das letzte mal gedüngt. Diese Woche werde ich nur Wasser geben und die Erde ein bisschen durchspülen. Falls sie aber durstig sein sollte werde ich sie noch einmal düngen da sie ja bis zu 10 Wochen blüht. Da ich leider keine Bilder mit der Lupe machen kann habe ich mir etwas bestellt das morgen kommen sollte. Wenn’s etwas taugt werde ich noch die Bilder nachreichen. Falls sich viel mehr in den nächsten Tagen tun sollte Update ich einfach hier weiter.

PotRul 19.11.2024 Flowering day 65 and she’s slowly coming to an end. Quite a bit autumn-like, slowly. The terpenes are getting browner and I check the trichomes every day. Not quite ripe yet! I assume she needs at most another week. But since this is my first indoor grow, my knowledge isn’t quite enough yet. She smells very strong and the buds are only now really starting to widen. I only gave water last time on Saturday and again this evening. Unfortunately, I only have a magnifying glass and can’t take pictures with it, otherwise I would have uploaded the trichomes a long time ago. The phone attachment I ordered unfortunately wasn’t functional. I need to keep looking to find something suitable. Thanks for reading!

PotRul 26.11.2024 Flowering Day 72 and a wonderful journey comes to an end. I had so much fun growing indoors! There's no comparison to the balcony. The Black Orchid is a great plant and quite easy to care for. I didn't really have any major issues with calcium/magnesium. Next time, I would just use Lightmix soil for the middle and Allmix around the edges. I also used perlite for drainage, about 2-3cm. The exact name is Lechuza Pon, which was pre-fertilized. The trichomes on the buds were about 15%, which is personally the best for me. The sugar leaves, on the other hand, have almost only brown trichomes! The terpenes are mostly brown, as you can see in the pictures. I hung them up in the bathroom and monitor the humidity and temperature there, as you can see. Since they were very close together, I hung a few branches separately to make sure nothing molds. Personally, I learned a lot with my first indoor grow. I'm looking forward to the smoking experience to share it with you all. I also want to thank the community for the numerous helps. Especially to Krisis, thanks for the support since day 1. A grow is also possible without a tent if it can't be helped. I decided against it because I just find the ladies so beautiful. I grew in the gaming/office room with a swivel fan and always checked the temperature and humidity, adjusting as necessary by ventilating the room. I hope you enjoyed my diary. Smoke Review: Wow, what more can I say? The smoking experience is very relaxing and stress-relieving! Don't forget to grab a drink to go with it. They've been in the jar for 14 days now, and I wanted to try some today. Sure, it will taste better in the coming weeks, but it's great right now! I put a Boveda pack in each jar, and the jar was opened daily for about 15 minutes. Flavor-wise, it's earthy and a bit sweet. It smells just like it tastes!
