Start of my first indoor grow. Germinated with shot glass method followed by paper towel 24 hours after being in the shot glass with just regular tap water. Germination was successful and seedling just popped out of the soil. Will call this day 1. Grown in 3 gallon fabric pots using dechlorinated PH’d tap water.
Continuing to water as needed now doing a full pot watering as it develops a root system. Added some mycorrhizae this week and plants continue to use the Gaia green dry amendments for nutrients will top dress in a couple of weeks
Getting some good growth so far keeping my lung room temps at around 65 that keeps my temps in my tent at around 75. Using an inkbird humidity controller connected to a humidifier and my inline fan. The inline fan will kick on when humidity levels rise out of range providing good air exchange. Small clip on fan inside the tent moving air around. Will begin LST probably within the next week or so
Started LST this week using stakes to bend the main stalk over this lady throws some massive leaves so I did a slight defoliation but really just took off only a couple of real big leaves covering bud sites. Was noticing what seemed to me a bit of a CalMag deficiency and also what seems to be a nitrogen toxicity I can see the leaves are clawing and it’s a dark green that looks almost waxy, this is my first time using coco and I was treating it more like soil and wasn’t watering until runoff so I think I got some build up. Will start to water more frequently and with my next watering I will top dress with 3tbsp Gaia Green 444 and 1tbsp Bloom and add 5ml/gal TPS Organic CalMag
This lady is now in pre flower and I just went ahead and top dressed the soil with 3 tbsp of bloom and 1 tbsp 444 from Gaia green. Also did a small defoliation and cleared up any lower sites that wouldn’t produce much. Continued to LST using the stakes and she’s getting good light penetration. Not sure what happened with this nitrogen toxicity maybe a lockout early on but since I’ve started watering daily until runoff the problem seems to be getting better
First week of flower and I was pretty happy with being able to get a decently even canopy as this was my first time doing any sort of LST. I’m just learning as I go with this and that’s honestly what makes it fun even though it can be very frustrating at times. Added 3ml of bud candy with every watering and will continue through it all the way to the end
Second week of flower and she’s staying pretty squatty so no crazy stretch yet but she’s starting to smell great. Got some tip burn so probably will not top dress again. Watering until 10% runoff once a day but will probably start to water twice daily since I’m in coco and smaller 3 gallon pots. Light has been switched to 100% intensity at 12 inches from top of canopy and will stay that way until the end.
This plant was definitely stunted not really sure what happened but I was dealing with some nitrogen toxicity early on and had to dial in my watering schedule she was not happy with me but it’s all a learning experience. The buds are super dense, and as long as I get some good quality buds I don’t care about the amount as this is for personal use regardless
The buds on her are getting fat and she’s starting to put on some weight fast now. Trichome production is also ramping up I think she will be ready within 2-3 weeks. Smells great, I’m still trying to pick up on the terpenes but I’ll report back on that later on
She’s a small lady but she’s getting super frosty and these nuggs are super dense. These last 2 weeks simply just watering until runoff and switched the light to 12/12 for no particular reason other than just saving on the electricity bill
These last couple of weeks was just checking trichomes and it ended up going a little longer than expected but towards the end she really produces a lot more trichomes and gave her the chop at around day 90 she was small but amazing quality and will go over the terps and smoke report shortly
For my first indoor run I was definitely satisfied with the results, she’s a resilient plant and recovered well from all my newbie mistakes, this was my first time using coco and it took me some time to adjust accordingly leading to what appeared to be some nitrogen toxicity early on which was then fixed by having a proper watering schedule. During veg she grew some real big fat leaves that took a lot of training and defoliation to allow for deeper light penetration, was able to get somewhat of an even canopy, she was a bit stunted from some of these mishaps but the nugs were dense and caught a lot of frost at the end of flower. Ended up with 38 grams and even though it’s a small yield what matters to me is the quality which I was very happy with. I’m at week 3 of cure currently in grove bags and now I’m finally picking up on these very unique terps and the description on Mephisto’s website was spot on, an apple candy smell like a apple jolly rancher I’ve definitely never had terps like these before and it’s worth growing it just for these terps alone. Overall had a blast growing her and will definitely be growing it again and hopefully I can nail it and get even better buds.
@Photoinduc, all that info is under “grow conditions” scroll up and you should be able to see it but light is 12 inches from top of the canopy at 60% 18/6 light schedule
