Germinated them in their 9L pots on the window sill directly in some "Zimmerpflanzenerde" I got from Obi. Put little domes over them from a plastic bottle cut in half

This started appearing about a week ago, after I watered until runoff with plain water. It's on a couple of leaves higher up both plants and seems to be progressing. I am feeding advanced nutrients Grow Micro and Bloom but have been using very low doses, like 1ml/L.

Beginning of a calcium (brown spots) and a magnesium (chlorosis) deficiency. Easily solved by adding a cal/mag supplement to your fertilizer line up.

One seedling looked like it was damping off as I think the soil was too wet, but it recovered. Grew a little slower and smaller than the other. I got my light in the post and set it up hanging from an old clothes rack I found in the garbage pile in the Friedhof near my place. Don't have a tent, I don't think I will get one either as it's nice having something green in my apartment living room now the horrid and depressing eurowinter is looming

Amazing how fast they grow. This is my first time growing something that isn't a cactus. Carefully watering in a small circle around their bases every 3 days at this point

Man they are growing super fast. Seeing some chlorosis and browning on one leaf of the one on the left, not too sure why but trying not to worry since it's still growing fast (tho not as heartily as the other) Fought a running battle with fungus gnats which must have come in the soil. After a couple days of spraying any I spotted with canola oil mixed with water they seem to have mostly vanished. RIP fungus gnats, you put up a good fight but the power of industrial agriculture was too much for you, es tut mir leid

A few of the leaves are looking kind of sick, but they're still growing like crazy will update some more pics later. I think this soil has bad drainage, it's got a lot of sticks and things in it. Started testing pH as the water in this city leaves deposits on my taps. Water is 7.8 from the tap, then goes down to 6.0 once Advanced Nutrients "Grow", "Micro" and "Bloom" are added. I tested runoff pH and it's around the 6 mark as far as I can tell with an aquarium test. They have a faint spicy smell now which slowly fills the house while I am at work 21-11: Thanks to the people who diagnosed CaMg deficiency. I got some Calmag fert and I'm gonna do a soil slurry test to check the root zone pH in case it's too acidic

They've started to flower in the last couple of days. Nice bright green bud sites. The left plant stretched heaps and is now taller. I had some issues with CaMg deficiency, upped the fertiliser dose and that seems to have solved it as there is Ca and Mg in the AN Micro stuff. They're using noticeably more water, the pots are lighter and top of soil dry within 24 hours of a soaking I was pleasantly suprised by this small snail who must have arrived as an egg in the potting soil along with the fungus gnats whom I massacred with canola emulsion a few weeks back The right plant is very bushy and I often see wet patches on touching leaves from transpiration. Wondering if I should defoliate it a bit but I prefer to err on the side of letting them do whatever they please

I noticed these structures - is this herming? I have unambiguous female flowers higher up the plant but these are growing on the main stem and from looking at pics I think they may be pollen sacs. Can anyone confirm

Keep an eye, but by look it should be just single female calyx. At same time it could be place were male flower can form. It will have tail, then flower bud/site. Have a look at this question. growdiaries.com/grow-questions/43266-hermie- Give more time to be sure.

They've absolutely exploded in growth over the last week, I have to raise the light every day. Pistils emerging from calyxes on both but the left plant seems to be further along, it already has buds forming. Unfortunately left plant also getting sicker. There are little white worm things visible writhing in the soil when I water, I think fungus gnat larva and they're eating the roots which would explain the mysterious deficiency symptoms. Home made soil drench with chewing tobacco failed to kill them, I will try BTI. Right hand plant is perfectly healthy. Getting a bit harder to control the humidity in my living room. I've got a cheap desk fan pointed at them now to try keep the airflow up. Backed off on the watering, 1L per day was causing too much runoff and soil wasn't drying out enough

The crazy rapid stretching continued on the left hand plant. The largest stems put on nearly 10cm in height in the last week. Ended up having to add some stakes and tie them down so it didn't grow into the light. Left plant also has heaps of deficiency symptoms, but bud growth seems to be reasonably rapid. Battled another fungus gnat infestation. Used BTI with 2x waterings and also treated the roots with one part Hydrogen Peroxide 3% to four parts water to try and kill some of the larvae. The adults got sprayed with canola emulsion and some chrysanthemum flyspray and it seems to be doing the trick. I'll also add some Calmag to the next watering
