Day 64 - Mandy is getting a little light burn on top and I'm okay with this. That extra cola she shot up makes things a little weird, as it is immature but all of her other colas are nearing then end. Doing a reverse staggered harvest where I chop everything but the main may actually be what I have to do with her.
Day 65 - After Sam #1 gets the chop tomorrow, Mandy here and 3 Bears will have a little more breathing room. Good for everyone!
Day 66 - Mandy is now sitting where her big sister was until this morning. Sam #1 got the chop, so Mandy gets the front row! She's only a day younger than Sam #1 but she's still got maybe ten days to two weeks to go, maybe? Showing the genetics of her Samsquanch OG parent much more than Sam #1, who went from seed to chop in a ridiculous 67 days. This extra time will maybe give Mandy more time to make big buds, as she's in a much smaller pot than Sam #1.

Day 64 - Week 10! She's probably got another week? Sam #1 will definitely finish faster as I plan on chopping her in two days maybe. Mandy here seems to have a slower growing pheno. I'm actually glad for this because of her early troubles. Gives her more time to give it the extra push she needed. She's big, bushy, and has 12-14 inch colas (Apart from that weird top) so it seems like her yield will be really nice, for a 3 gallon pot grow.
Day 66 - Ever have a girl suddenly change her smell entirely within a day or two? Up until yesterday she smelled exactly like sour candy. Super sweet, super sour. And now, she switched, within maybe a 36 hour stretch, to a really rank ass skunky just plain WEED smell. Very, very different.
Day 69 - Think she has maybe three days left. Will watch and wait. Sam #1 is on day three of drying, so she may come out of the box and go into the jars on the same day Mandy goes into the box. That would be super convenient.
Day 67 - Sam is out of the tent, and I crammed a couple spare 3d printed trellises into her mass to get some more light into her middle, as she is rather tightly packed. Also removed a couple handfuls of fan leaves to uncover some colas. She's not going to yield like Sam #1, being in a 3 gallon pot rather than a 6 gallon, but she still seems like she's going to be super respectable when the chop comes.
@SCAR17s, I know right!?! This was a plant that was born half blackened and missing a cotyledon leaf, too! Classic underdog story! :-D so proud of her. She'll be the one I remember most of my first grow.
What ever your doing keep it up she looks great. Keep an eye on the leaves/buds. The highest leaves are showing signs of the beginning of light burn. Could be those parts are more directly centered under the light where it is most intense. I dealt with a simular issue on my grow. I was a bit faked out thought it was a deficiency. If shes close to her chop day you could cut down to 20hrs of light it might help.
@Philindicus, Yeah she's a weird plant, actually. She was heavily LSTed and had a flat canopy. I mean super flat, and at day 56, out of the blue, maybe five days after her flower stretch ended, she just decided to shoot a dominant cola out of the center of her mass. I mean she was DONE going up for days and all of the sudden BLOOP, a top, sticking six inches up. Was so weird. And then of course her main canopy, which is made up of eleven or twelve 12 inch colas is at a perfect height.
So I'm kind of stuck in a dilemma at this point. Let her other colas get the right amount of light and risk damage to that dominant or let the unanticipated dominant get all the glory at the possible expense of a whole lot of yield.
So I decided to let her get a bit bleached. We're at day 62 of a strain whose parents are a 55-65 day grower (Sour Crack) and a 70-75 day grower, (Samsquanch OG.) so I'm guessing that she's got maybe a week or two at the outside? I'm not sure. I guess you never know with gen 1 crossbreeds. If it looks like that top will get irreparable damage before the end of her life cycle I may take some action.
Does that make any sense?
