These have grown quite well in a week compared to last weeks pictures. The roots are just starting to appear out the blocks. The roots will now air trim as they reach the edge of the block...I haven't dipped these blocks in 3 weeks as they hold a shit load of water and it's not warm enough to dry them out quick as it's winter...
The blocks are not dry but i want feed them a weak nutrient solution of formulex so I will only dip the bottom 2 inches of the block
@@@@@@hydrohippy...I, too am amazed at the NFT method!
I really need to understand a few things better before I give it a go, but next season, I intend to go for it.
What would be really helpful is if in your next empty tent situation where you are starting another run, would be to see your reservoir and tray setup a little better. Like, currently you have some late bloomers and some early bloomers in the same tent.
I will now pick your brain...feel free to ignore me:
Do you have two separate reservoirs, pumps, and trays so you can mix nutes separately for each stage of growth?
Which of the trays do you prefer....the straight linear grooves or the square pattern?
How much liquid do your pumps move per hour?
Once they are well rooted, do you set your pumps on a timer to just douche them every few hours, or is it an "always-on" situation?
Do you ever find that your plants are too heavy for the net to support and need to weigh-down the cubes?
Are the dark cardboard covers you put over your cubes just to prevent them from growing too much algae, or is there another purpose for it?
Thanks man!
@@hydrohippy, Awesome! Thanks man. I'd love to send you a nannycam to install so I can actually watch you work!
If all goes well this year, I'd like to make the transition for my winter grows. But, since I'll have to gear up for two tents at the same time, it's iffy that I'll be able. I already planned on replacing all my COBs, blurples, red panels and QB with another quantum bar light rig before fall, so that will cut deeply into the budget.
Anybody want to buy some gently used lighting gear this summer???๐๐

@Silverback_Guerilla, you would need 2x Gt424 nft next each other that way you can rotate crops
They measure just under 2ft wide by 4ft long
They're single channel like the ones I use.
I use 2x4ft long ones and 2x5ft long in my flower tents
1 x 4ft in my veg room
@@hydrohippy, i would get that man truly... best part is if you leave the diary up i could show it off to my guests "this piece comes is a hydrohippy RQS purp from 2019. as you can see these purps are frosty as hell" ๐น
@@hydrohippy, ok I have turned it down to 75% its a cool tube light with a great inline fan/carbon filter i think somewhere close to 400cfm. There was a little light bleaching i believe as it was at the top of the plant so i dimmed it becuz of the room situation . Thanks
@Homegrown420, Thanks dude.... they do say to much light can be detrimental if to close and in a 4x4 tent you are going to need to put the light as high as you can or you'll fry the plants. You'll also need an industrial size fan and filter to get the heat out!!
@CRiSPrGrow, not sure if I got enough lol....Anytime my friend....just uploaded some porn video for you!!
can you sign a disclaimer as I am not responsible for any underlying health issues you may have after looking at the video ๐๐
Super wow.... ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ผ, looks awesome.
When I grow up... I want to be able to produce buds just like you. The 1.75ml coke bottle is a great scale indicator. ๐๐ผ
@@hydrohippy, i though it was pm meter for CO2, then i realized it was rock wool into water ๐
Poor phone, you won't make it bigger even with good nutrient ๐
@Dedon, That is made by bluelab they cost around ยฃ75...it is a valuable tool for hydro especially for beginner's ...to be honest i dont need it now as I know canna food inside out after so long
I have dropped my phone in the water twice now taking pictures to close to water ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐
