First grow! Auto White widow / Auto NL

brutal_bub 01/22/2019 - Started germination process Sunday night. 01/22/2019. One seed for each strain. 01/24/2019 - Spotted taproot on White Widow seed. Planted and lightly moistened - still no taproot on Northern Lights seed. 01/25/2019 - White widow has been planted. 01/28/2019 - Still no taproot on Northern lights - been 7 days with paper towel method, the seed seemed to have cracked so I.... helped it a long just by opening the seed a little to try and salvage the seed. If nothing comes of it I will attempt a second Northern lights seed. The seed has been planted, so here is hoping I see some green in the coming week.

brutal_bub 01/30/2019 - The white widow is above the surface! still no sighting on the northern lights seed - that one was planted days after so no cause for sorry yet. 01/31/2019 - White widow progressing a bit more, added Viparspectra 600w today in addition to the phlizon 600w. NL seed is kaput. I have started another seed in paper towel, couple weeks offset but should be fun nonetheless. 02/04/2019 - The NL seed has popped and is planted as of 02/03/2019 - looking like a healthy taproot. The White widow seedling is coming along. A couple of the leaves were stuck in the shell of the seed, I had to remove the seed delicately. The stuck leaves were yellow at the tip. As of this edit, the leaves are nearly fully green and healthy looking.

brutal_bub 02/05/2019 - NL seed if just about sprouted. White widow has developped a few leaves. Looking strong and healthy.

brutal_bub 02-13-2019 - The white widow has been growing well, a little bit a yellowing on as few leaves. I moved the lights up seeing as the recommendations were saying 24"-36" from plant. no new yellowing, but the smell has started. The northern lights plant has started the first two leaves, getting bigger.

brutal_bub 02-19-2019 - the White widow is starting to get bigger. Did some LST - check the images for the before and 3 hours later photos. nice and healthy. The northern lights is catching up - what a healthy plant!

brutal_bub 02-25-2019 - The plants are both growing well. Day by day the plants are getting thicker and bushier. LST has provided a wider area with more regions for the light to hit. No issues at the moment - the smell is now requiring me to run my ventiallation system for most fo the day. 03-01-2019 - Spotted some white pistils on the white widow. Both plants seem happy and healthy and they are starting to become bushy - not sure if I am doing the LST perfectly but I am pleased with the shape they are taking and the amount of bud sites (?) I am seeing.

brutal_bub 2019-03-05 - Really starting to grow and stretch. More flowering on the white widow. The NL plant is also getting beefier. Exciting times. 2019-03-09 - had to leave the two bushes yesterday. I'll be returning in 4 days. I saturated the plants yesterday afternoon. They will not be getting any more water until Monday, which should be fine but still a small cause for worry. They were doing real well when I left.

brutal_bub 2019-03-13 Was away for 5 days, the plants were watered once in between. it looks add though the white widow could have used more but she only took it out on some of the fan leaves by the looks of things. Flowering is coming along nicely, the white widow has about 12-13 colas/flowering spots. The northern lights plant is nearly as big, a little less busy. The flowers have started on the northern lights plant as well, will do a head count soon.

brutal_bub 2019-03-18 - The plants are really coming along - happy to see how the flowering continues to develop. 2019-03-21 - Flowers are getting bigger by the day. First time I have noticed the trichomes - more prevalent on the white widow for the time being.

brutal_bub The white widow is showing some amber/dark trichomes and I am not sure if or when I should harvest. These two plants are super different, one decided to be plump and bushy, the other decided to reach for the sky, I've tried to be consistent with the two of em, LST etc. 2019-03-27 - I have removed the fan leaves on the white widow and prepared my cardboard box dry-room. I have also defoliated the Northern Lights plant just a little to allow for some more light to hit the lower buds.

brutal_bub 2019-04-03 - I have trimmed and weighed the White widow buds: 25 grams. We gave it a smoke before curing - It gave a great head high, eyes were heavy, very giggly. I have a biased opinion here, but I was impressed with the buzz I got. 2019-04-02 - The Northern Lights plant is beginning to get ready for harvest from what I can see. She is diverting energy consumed to the flowers (which are getting bigger) and not supplying to some fan leaves which are beginning to yellow and dry up. I have kept up with watering and am not too concerned for the time being. Trichomes are starting out on the flowers, not on all buds yet. Based on the current size and time remaining for this plant, I think it will yield more than the white widow. We shall see. One observation I had was that the main stalk, which has a big slant (due to height restrictions and LST) has some flowers growing toward the light, and those seem to be the plumpest. Interesting. 2019-04-01 - The white widow plant has been drying for 4-5 days, starting to crisp up but not quite ready (branches aren't snapping yet).
