Popped on Jan 24th. Using airpots for the first time. Using Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop for the 3rd time. I love the stuff! Also supplementing with NPK Calmag due to growing in pure coco. Trying coco without perlite this time as I've heard perlite isn't needed in coco because it is so light and airy to begin with and to try and reduce the watering frequency.
Out of the 4 strains I just popped this one is doing the best and had had the most vigorous growth. Even though I accidentally left the humidity dome off one of the days this week and the other strains got a little light burned this one just chugged straight through it.
This weeks been going smoothly. Accidentally watered with unphed water one day which wound up causing a little stress but they are still growing really well.
These girls are still leading the pack by a pretty large margin.
Even though they look ready for transplant I wont be doing so for at least another few days as I need to chop my currently flowering autos and prep the coco they will be going into. The airpots should prevent them from getting rootbound. Roots have started popping out the bottom of the pots already.
Got some Real Growers recharge this week to add some bennies to the coco and help reduce transplant shock. Transplanted the better of the 2 plants to a #3 airpot this week and dusted the rootball with recharge before planting in the new pot. On this one, the recharge definitely helped but she still got a little droopy right after transplant.
It is getting pretty close to time to top her. Gonna wait for the other plants to finish being transplanted and be ready to top so they can all be topped to about the same size.
Things have been going well this last week. Decided it was time to do some topping to start my manifold. topped down to the 3rd node and started to LST the branches down to form the manifold. I also left the branches from the 2nd node to see if it helped with recovery and might just keep them for the whole grow. Been able to water every 3 days with the pure coco which is nice and helps save me some nutes. This plant is #1 as far as size and growing vigor. It took a day or so longer than the gorilla zkittles to recover. Only had to readjust the plant ties once.
This past week has consisted of training everything flat with soft plant ties and topping for the 2nd and final time. With this plant, I am doing something a little different than a manifold. I topped but instead of only leaving 1 set of branches and stripping everything else I have left 2 sets of branches. Other than that the manifold technique will still be used and when I topped the 2nd time I topped to the 3rd node of each branch and stripped off the 3nd node. Doing it this way you wind up with 16 main colas. I'm curious as to how this will affect the plant's growth compared to a regular manifold. So far it seems like this one has slowed down a bit in growth since the 1st topping compared to the gorilla zkittles. I'm not sure if that is due to the different training or something else. It would make sense that having left more branches the overall growth of each branch might be a bit slower than a standard manifold that can just focus on 2 branches. She fell to #2 for vigor and growth amongst the 4 strains. after the gorilla skittlez took off after being topped. Have also stopped adding calmag as I don't think they really need it anymore and Mega Crop provides a decent amount of calmag, to begin with.
Have been sick for the past month so I haven't felt up to keeping this up to date. I'm gonna keep uploading photos and commenting til harvest but I didn't keep track of the fine details like plant height or nute levels so I'm not gonna bother updating that. I also don't really remember what happened these past several weeks with my plants so until I'm all caught up with photo uploads info in the weekly comments will be scarce.

Got a new, more powerful light this week. 480w of Samsung lm301b leds in 3500k. 4 separate units so I can tailor light height to the individual plant.
