I put them into the DWC buckets yesterday. 9 days from seed, They emerged from their rapid rooters on 1/16/19. I built the scrog screen this weekend, planning on pulling it out for a bit so I can do some LST and have better access to the plants for a while.

I have a cool mist humidifier in my tent, using RO water. Two of my plants that are close to the humidifier have started to get leaves with rust colored spots and yellowing. The left two are fine. Any ideas? The only difference is the mist may have been spraying on the first two.

Ran into some cal-mag issues this week, and thanks to the folks on here I was able to get it diagnosed and fixed pretty darn quick. The root mass on my big plant is going CRAZY and the stem is getting huge for such a stout lil plant. Leaves are droopy because the pics were taken a few hours into the lights off period.

Big plant is doing good, still having some issues with the other 3. The smallest one is really having a rough time right now. I've made a few adjustments in the past 2 days so I'm hoping things start to turn around. I can't seem to pin down exactly what my problem is.

When should I think about flipping these? They are just getting tall enough to be tucked under the screen. I was hoping to give it another week to let the small one catch up a bit seeing as it's 5 days younger than the rest.

If anyone is wondering, I do my updates at the end of the week. So this is the end of flowering week 4. I saved this one for a few days, my Mars II 1600w (750 true watts) started breaking down on me so I decided to upgrade and picked up an HLG 550v2 quantum board. THIS THING IS BRIGHT!!!!!!! and it takes better pictures than the blurples. This light has a bigger footprint than the other one and is going to give me better coverage, more output and costs less to run. They look pretty damn healthy to me and at this point, I'm just waiting for them to fill out. My goal harvest date is right around May 15th. Gonna be an exciting month!

I'm looking for someone that is familiar with H&G nutes. Their feed schedule says to use top booster week 6, based on what I've got going should I do that or should I wait a week or two?

hi, ive been looking whats inside , its 7 percentP and around 6 percent K. Not to heavy for a booster....youve been doing great with your fertilisers ..... but its your decision... i would do it.. because no N inside that could harm her/ them ..... regular boosters got 12 and 13 percent or more inside.......i see no big prob to use it.. maybe look at tazard grows he used the same products

Another week in the books, I'd love some opinions on how long these things have left. Any ideas? They're starting to smell and get nice and sticky but it feels like they're nowhere near done. I was thinking I was going to harvest in about a month but maybe it's gonna be a few more weeks past that.

This week I added the top booster, in the past few days I've noticed a lot of new growth on the buds and things really starting to fatten up. I'm changing my rez out as I'm writing this and will be adding the Top Shooter liquid from house and garden for the last 3-4 weeks. I decided to take some trichome shots this week with my handheld microscope. I highly recommend picking one up, you can find them for under 50 on Amazon. It links wirelessly to your phone and you can take snapshots easily.

Another week in the books, the end is near (I hope). I have 2 weeks left on a 10 week flowering schedule but these might go a few weeks longer. I'm starting to see more purples coming out and the edges of some of the smaller sugar leaves are purpling up. I'm hoping over the next few weeks that some nice "fall" colors start to show.

I ended up with about 20 ounces dry, I've got it in a large 21 liter C-Vault curing now. I dried inside of my tent on mesh racks, with my Raspberry Pi monitoring air temp and humidity. I used two fans facing the walls of the tent to circulate air and my exhaust fan was running full blast the whole time. My temp averaged about 75 F and my humidity was about 58% in the tent while drying, I had a hard time keeping the tent cooler than that with the dehumidifer inside running, but I think it ended up fine. The bud dried without really getting a hay smell at all so I think I did a good job, it already smells very good and I'm hoping it only gets better. There are definitely improvements to be made for the next go-around and I think I might try out some auto-flowers. Some of the genetics from Mephisto look awesome. I also upgraded my light part way through due to a 3rd of my LEDs going out on my Mars II 1600. I think that may have had some effect on the overall density and fullness of the buds as it happened right near the time the plants were stretching after flipping to flower. I full run with the HLG 550 V2 I'm sure would produce better results. Overall I'm happy with the way it turned out. Also, aside from all the stuff that I deemed worthy enough to be trimmed I ended up with a nice trash bag full of popcorn buds and sugar leafs that I have frozen with the plan to make butter/concentrates out of it. I've got a closed loop BHO extractor that hasn't seen use in a few years that I would like to use again.

@Homegrown420, the HLG version is really kind of expensive but it's assembled in the USA. If you decide to grab one you can get the kit here: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/HLG-550-V2-samsung-lm301b-quantum_62114789245.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.89.1.4ad62dfcZHnM0D for much cheaper. You just have to assemble it yourself which is apparently very easy.

Hi. Nice work. I have 1 question. I have Greenception GC16 LED and there is 4 switches. 1st marked grow 2nd and 3rd is full spectrum and 4th is bloom. For veg i need to have only grow switch on and for flower just full spectrum and bloom on and veg switch off? And how far from seedlings plants to keep light please?
jamaljackson
jamaljacksoncommented6 years ago
@DrGreenTumb, Hey, I did some googling and I would say that you want the full spectrum light on all the time. You would then turn on the growth / bloom switches depending on the age of the plants. I'm an inexperienced grower, and honestly for light distance I just kinda guess and hope for the best lol. I've got an HLG 550 v2 so I'm chucking a lot of light at them either way. As long as your plants aren't stretching out and getting super lanky searching for light you should be fine.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie
DrewbieDoobieNoobiecommented6 years ago
@jamaljackson, Hydroponic plants are especially susceptible to Cal-Mag deficiencies due to the absence of soil and access to rainwater. If you use RO or distilled water, the chances are high that your plants are getting next to no Cal-Mag. Calcium is an immobile nutrient. If there is a deficiency of the mineral in the soil or nutrient solution, the growing ends of the plant usually show symptoms first. If you keep adding it in your feedings moving forward they should be ok.
jamaljackson
jamaljacksoncommented6 years ago
@DrewbieDoobieNoobie, yeah the Roots Excelurator from H & G is supposed to protect against it. They seem to be growing like crazy and love it. I'm still trying to get this calcium deficiency fixed though.
DrewbieDoobieNoobie
DrewbieDoobieNoobiecommented6 years ago
@jamaljackson, ok I was worried about root rot but your temps are right at the top end if it gets any warmer I would check the roots more often. for that brown slimy mess. I got it once and it did not take long to set in. I hope you never have to go through that. Good looking grow

I'm in the same boat as you with my grow. just started week 12 you let yours veg one extra week more than mine I am using a 11/13 flower schedule and I've been told it can shave off a week or two of flowering. so I'm looking at your girls and I agree, you got maybe another month. Scope your trichomes. still glassy and clear let it grow cloudy-milky white getting the head high all amber couchlock 70/30 white to amber is my favorite balance some like 50w/50a lights out at 70a/30w that would be a good indicator on when to harvest. do you flush? I would love to hear you thoughts on if you do or not. they look great bet they smell great too. nice full scrog😃
jamaljackson
jamaljacksoncommented6 years ago
@DrewbieDoobieNoobie, I do plan on flushing, I know people say it's "bro science" but what do I really have to lose. My 10th week of flowering will end may 13th, I will probably flush until the weekend of that week and then harvest. House and Garden claims you only need a 3-5 day flush with these nutes.

Back left is really taking off, front right was a few days behind on the roots. Back right is about 5 days younger than the rest but is coming along nicely. I made a stupid mistake and didn't top feed the front left one enough and almost killed it. I've got roots coming through the bucket now and it's rebounding alright.
