Thursday, January 10, 2019
Here we are after about 11 days after ordering , and the seeds have arrived, fast and speedy shipping which was great. About 1:15 p.m today all four seeds were placed in a glass of water with a ph of 6.03. The seeds will be left alone for 16 hours or so , then they'll began part two of the germination process the "paper towel method".
Friday, January 11, 2019
Around 10:00 a.m this morning the seeds were checked on and all four had sunk to the bottom. All four seeds were then placed on a paper towel along with some of the water from the glass , not all you just want it to be moist, then place them in a sandwich bag and put them in a warm dark place . I'll be checking on them every 8 hours or so just make sure the paper towel is still moist. It usually takes about a day sometimes a day and a half for them crack and have a 1/2" tap root then they'll be ready to plant.
Saturday, January 12, 2019
Here we are back about 24 hours later to check on the seeds and out of the four one has a 1/2" inch tap root so it was planted and was labeled Plant # 1. Of the other three one has a tap root showing but isn't quite big enough yet to plant and for the other two one is cracked open but not showing a tap root yet and the other and is just beginning to crack open.
Sunday, January 13, 2019
This evening we were finally able to put another seed into the soil with it's tap root finally reaching a 1/2" inch so we officially have Plant # 2. The other two seeds are still not showing anything yet still got them in the paper towel making sure it stays moist, not wet. Plant # 1 hasn't peaked above the soil yet but it should be within a day or so.
Monday, January 14, 2019
As we checked on the ladies today there was no sign of them popping above the soil, so we gave them a quick mist to make sure the top soil stays moist and left them alone. As far as the other two seeds I placed them and their paper towel on two plates to see if we can get them to pop open.
Tuesday, January 15, 2019
Woke up today and Plant # 1 was above the soil and standing straight up, Yay ! Hopefully here in a day or so Plant # 2 should be popping above the soil. I gave them a light misting to keep the top soil moist. As far as the other two seeds they are still in the paper towel moist but no sign still of them cracking open. I'm trying to have a little hope because some seeds just take a little longer to due their thing , If they aren't cracked open by the time Plant # 2 breaks through the soil I'll more than likely throw them out. I'll also will probably have two different journals on growdiaries.com one for Plant # 1 and Plant # 2 since they'll be on different timeline.
Wednesday, January 16, 2019
Alright , a lot has changed in a day. Plant # 1 is doing wonderful and will be starting it's official day 1 tomorrow. As far as Plant # 2 it didn't make it checked on it and the root was brown and hadn't grown at all. As far as the others they didn't make it either. So it seems somewhere I went wrong in the germination process, and I think I had my paper towel too moist and not warm enough , so we ended up with 1 out of 4.
Week 1

(Day 1)
Today begins the official start of our Northern Lights Autoflower Grow. For starters we made sure everything inside the tent was nice and clean. We also made sure the humidifier was full and working properly to keep the humidity high, and we also made sure our spray bottle had fresh water with a ph of 6.0 for misting throughout the day.Today I also ordered 2 more seeds : AK-49 Auto and Super Skunk Auto, which will have their own diary on my page.
Saturday, January 19, 2019
(Day 3)
Everything has been going great our NLA is looking great and is starting on it's second set of leaves. Our grow environment has also maintained with good temperature and humidity. The most that's had to be done is fill up the humidifier and give her a misting a few times a day.
Sunday, January 20, 2019
(Day 4)
Wonderful day in the garden today, our NLA is moving right along and her second set of leaves are now visible. We've been able to keep a great environment also without really doing much. With this being Day 4 our NLA received it's first official watering today, she was given 250 ml of water a ph of 6.0 , I like to mist instead of pour when watering at this stage so I don't disturb the soil while the plant is so young.
Monday, January 21, 2019
(Day 5)
Pretty normal and easy day in the garden today. We gave our NLA her first watering yesterday and seems like she has drunk all of her water, but we'll wait to water her again tomorrow. She'll get a few misting throughout the day so she'll be fine until then. We also filled up the humidifier and opened the tent for a bit to give her some fresh air, since I think she's still to small for the oscillating fan.
Tuesday, January 22, 2019
(Day 6)
Lovely day in the garden today, we took care of some basic maintenance in garden this morning , like wiping down the tent cleaning and refilling the humidifier, and dusting off the lights. Our NLA was given her second watering today, she was given 250 ml of water with a ph of 6.0 along with a light misting. I also checked her height today since she's almost a week old and she was about 1 1/2 inches tall.
Wednesday, January 23, 2019
(Day 7)
Here we are on the last day of week one for Northern Lights Autoflower grow. It's crazy how fast autoflowers grow once they get going. There wasn't much to do today in the garden except for a refill on the humidifier and giving her a light misting. She also is starting on her third node , which goes to show how good autos do in a great environment.
Week 2
Avg. Temp - 76 F
Avg. Humidity - 55%

(Day 8)
Good day gardener's, here we are at the start of week 2 for our Northern Lights Auto Grow. Our NLA was given her second watering today , she received 250 ml of water with a ph of 6.0, the environment has been stable which has helped with how our lady is growing she is already on her third node and looking great. One thing I did notice was the exhaust fan didn't seem to blowing the way it normally does which means one thing, the pre-filter need to be washed. I expected this to happen due to the fact that I have used tap water in the humidifier the last time I refilled it and I normally use spring or distilled water because the tap water has too many minerals in it when it evaporates into the air, which then clogs up your pre-filter. Since it's time to clean the tent anyway , tomorrow I'll wash that along with wiping the lights and cleaning anything else in the tent.
Friday, January 25, 2019
(Day 9)
Woke this morning handled some overdue maintenance in the garden. Everything was cleaned today from wiping down lights, to cleaning the pre-filter and humidifier, I mean everything. As far as our NLA she's looking great and has three visible nodes and is working on her fourth. Also we'll be receiving our Super Skunk Auto and AK-49 Auto from Vision Seeds today, kinda of excited. Each of the two new plants will have their diary if they both make through germination.
Saturday, January 26, 2019
(Day 10)
Today wasn't much to do except for looking at how great she looks. Tomorrow she'll be due for a watering and with this being Week 2, we'll be adding nutes to the water this time. I'll be using a 1/4 strength version of the Lucas Formula along with Cal- Mag Plus.
Monday, January 28, 2019
(Day 12)
Yesterday our Northern Lights Auto received her first feeding, and she seemed to take very well to it. She was given 2 ML of Cal-Mag Plus, 2 ML of FloraMicro, and 4 ML of FloraBloom. She is also starting to grow pretty fast it seems to be new growth daily. Other than that the only thing that's been needed to be done was refilling the humidifier.
Week 3
Avg. Temp - 76 F
Avg. Humidity- 56
Friday, February 1, 2019
(Day 16)
I've been super busy lately so I haven't been able to journal the way I want to. Here we are on Day 16 and boy does our lady look great. She's growing daily and stacking up real nice. She even has a lovely aroma already also. She's been drinking up here every two days so far so it will time for a watering soon also.
Saturday, February 2, 2019
(Day 17)
I got up today and gave our Northern Lights Auto her 2nd feeding today. She was given 250 ML of water with a ph of 6.0 along with adding 3 ML of Cal-Mag Plus, 3 ML of FloraMicro, and 6 ML of FloraBloom.
Monday, February 4, 2019
(Day 19)
Got up today and took photos and height measurements and she was 4 1/2 inches tall which means she's grown 3 inches since we measured her in Week 1. I've also changed my mind on Low Stress Training also, after my last grow of Super Skunk and Blueberry Bliss I actually like the bud structure of the plant when nothing is done to it and it just grows the way it does in nature. Many people say it helps with your yield which is true I got 8 more grams from a plant due to LST , but in my opinion that is not enough to put any stress on an autoflower, besides I'll take quality over quantity any day.
Tuesday, February 5, 2019
(Day 20)
Checked on our lady today to see if she need water yet , but it seems like she's doing fine, probably will need it tomorrow. Also had to refill the humidifier it was completely out which I never let it get that low so I'll have to watch it to make sure it stays full.
Wednesday, February 6, 2019
(Day 21)
Here and we are on the last day of week 3 and things couldn't be better. Our Northern Lights Auto received 250 ML of plain water with a ph of 6. She's been showing new growth daily and is really stacking on side branches without moving the light or without LST. I'll also be lowering the humidity since she's getting in her later weeks and should start pre-flower soon. Also in 3 day s I will be adding a new diary to my page of AK-49 Auto from Vision Seeds.
Week 4
Avg. Temp- 78 F
Avg. Humidity- 49%
Friday, February 8, 2019
(Day 23)
Here we are a few days into Week 4 and things couldn't be better. She's still been growing like crazy and overall looking good. I did notice a few tips of new growth looking slightly yellow , but I think she's also about due for a feeding and with the humidity dropping once in Week 3 at the end , she may have ate all the nutes up in the soil especially with her growth rate.
Saturday, February 9, 2019
(Day 24)
Great day in the garden today got up and did a little cleaning in the tent along with giving our NL Auto a feeding , she received 500 ML of water with nutes added, I had to raise up how much water she was getting so that we could some run off so she doesn't get salts built up in the soil. At this she is growing like crazy and I mean crazy , along with her having a amazing smell which is new for me because non of my plants ever had a smell like this so early in its life.
Monday, February 11, 2019
(Day 26)
Hasn't been much to do since our last watering, except for a little leaf tucking so that the larger fan leafs are blocking the side branches. Other than that I've just sitting back watching this beauty grow and also enjoying the great aroma she already has. So far I haven't notice any signs of showing pre-flowers which normally happens around this time, but that's fine with me it just means this phenotype has a longer vegetation than I'm use to seeing in autoflowers, maybe they'll show later in the week.
Wednesday, February 13, 2019
(Day 28)
Here we are on the last day of Week 4 and things are still looking great. We also have began to pre-flower ! She is really stacking up also and is 9.5" before she goes into her stretch, which means she could be around 18" to 24" tall when it's all said and done, which I think is monster for a autoflower. We've also shut the humidifier off since we are in pre-flower. I'm still in shock that she's this big, she's by far the biggest plant I've grown to date.
Here we are in Week 5 of our Northern Lights Auto grow and things have been super busy for me so this is my quick review of Week 5 and things are doing great. Our beautiful lady is now beginning to flower. I also believe that I need to go back to watering her with 250 ML instead of 500 ML because it took her longer to dry out. We gave a feeding also which reminds me to cut the Cal-Mag from her diet next week. She also was lightly defoliated so the giant fan leaves weren't blocking the flower sites. Her smell is so lovely at only 5 weeks from seed, makes me wish I could smoke her right now. She has also become a light hog. Lol. She's gotten so big she's the only plant I can put under my Vivosun light. Well till next time growers !!!!
Another easy week, I did notice she is drinking her water like crazy, but I guess that's normal for her size. She's been getting 500 ML of water every other day, she also received a feeding on Day 41 but we cut out the Cal-Mag since she's flowering now. I'm very happy with how this week turned and also with her size she's a BEAST !!!
Another fairly easy week has past and this auto is a MONSTER !!!! I had to alter how much water she was getting to 1 liter now , and I also had to raise the light she was under because she was almost touching it and it was beginning to affect her top leaves which I went ahead and removed because they were blocking the flower sites underneath. She is now the biggest auto I've grown to date coming in at 25.5" and she seems to still be growing and her side branches are almost as tall as the main cola without any LST.
Fairly decent week with this Northern Lights Auto. She's grown another 2.5" over the last 7 days and is full of bud sites. I did have to raise the light as far as it would go because of how tall she is. I also think I may be over-watering ,so to be safe I think I'm going to start back giving her 500 Ml of water instead of a liter I think it's just to much for a 3 gallon pot and especially for a autoflower. Overall I'm very satisfied with this week's results and can't until harvest to see how she yields.
Crazy week with this lady, last week I noticed that I may have been over-watering her so I backed off and started giving her 250 ML of water, but now she seems to have a magnesium deficiency due to all the nutrients being washed out from over-watering. So this week added our Cal-Mag Plus back to her feeding regiment along with giving her a long over due haircut, and she's already on her way to recovery, she's going to take a little longer than expected. I'm very satisfied with my weeks results because even though she has a deficiency we got it and began handling it immediately and she's still growing , but at a slower pace since she's recovering.
Good week with this lady, also found out that the purple stems could actually be from her genetics and that some Northern Lights actually grow with purple stems and hairs, but I still added the Cal-Mag back into her feeding regiment just in case. She was given a watering on Day 65 and a feeding on Day 69. She also seems to be back to growing which I noticed on her flowers. Also removed more fan leaves to give her flower sites more light.
This lady had a mag. deficiency I believe so I added the cal-mag back to her diet but I feel she is still growing slower than my AK-49 Auto , is this because she is recovering and will catch up or is it something else
If the growing environment and the feeding are the same for both strains then it could be what you said : a recovering that is still slowing her down ; it could be due to the genetic as your plants are not the same so they will grow differently , and finally it can be a feeding related issue : maybe that strain needed a specific feeding compared to your AK
This lady has finally bounced back and showing growth ! I can even see trichome production starting which is great. I been slowly trimming her fan leaves because she was so big with so many but I also didn't want to cause anymore stress while she was recovering. She was feed and watered this week and has responded well. With the stress she is definitely going to go longer than expected.
Easy week and glad this lady is back to life. She's showing more and more trichomes daily and grew a 0.5". On Day 80 she was trimmed and feed and was watered on Day 84. Can't wait to see how much she actually yields.
Thing are back to normal as you see in the pics for this lady. She's looking great and showing trichome growth daily, still thickening up though as far as her buds, but in due time they will. This week to give her an extra push she was feed twice this week once on Day 87 and then again on Day 91.
Gave this lady a watering on day 94 and then she was feed on day 98. She's really starting to fill out and producing trichomes daily glad she bounced back from lack of magnesium and is moving toward harvest finally.
Easy Week ... Gave her a watering on Day 101 then I just let her chill out for the rest of the week. Knocked off a few dead leaves other than that I'm just letting her finish up.
Nice stuff very smooth with great smell and taste ... Definitely something for the day time very sticky to the touch. I could of let her go longer but after a 100 days It was time. She could of been done on time but I screwed her up by taking away her cal-mag, once she bounced back she was fine, and grew to be a MONSTER !!! Took 4 days to dry inside of a brown paper bag. Not the most dense buds but far from fluffy. Currently curing some and smoking some. Lol. Just couldn't help myself .....
Very easy plant to grow ... Didn't do any training or anything so she got over 2 feet tall and fast. Almost ruined her by removing the Cal-Mag from her feeding regiment but corrected it just by adding it back. With her going over a 100 days I just decided to chop her down especially since she was an auto and just be satisfied with whatever she yielded, which turned out to 63.2 grams after being dried which was pretty good even after being deficient and losing most of her bottom leaves , if I would of let her go longer she would of yielded more and probably had denser buds, they weren't fluffy but they weren't rock hard either, but again I just wanted her to be done and out of the way as I have a White widow auto growing and I'm preparing to grow 3 Lowryder autos all from Vision seeds also. Vision Seeds really did their thing though as far as genetics with this Northern Lights Auto .... Great Work 👍👍👍👍👍
@bmvape, Thanks bro ... She's slowly packing weight on her buds. She had some stress from lack of magnesium but is back on track now , So see ya at the finish line. Lol.
Nice grow you have going on bud. I'm growing same strain but from Canuk Seeds. Pretty close in comparison. Looking forward to seeing you finish this run. So exciting. Happy Growing.
Good job, but but next time you should increase the humidity, if you continue with LEDs. You'll get better results. Maybe fewer leaves should be removed as well.
@@Kinimod, Thanks for the advice bro will certainly try that ... be honest I was wondering that because I use to have a humidifier inside my tent maybe I should only remove it once I see full structured buds instead of when they are just starting ... Thanks again.
Yeah man, they look nice. You will have some fun blazing your way through that. Are you feeling creative on it, or more sit back and contemplate humanity’s existence? 😂
@ForTheBlunted, I would say it was a creative high ... It made me want to make music and paint and draw quite a bit which left me with some amazing stuff !!!!
@bmvape, Thanks Bro ... And She is super tasty went to sample her after she was dry and decided I'm going to cure a jar and smoke a jar right now. Lol.
Wow she looks really good for 4 weeks. Pretty sure your gonna have a monster of a plant on tour hands!! 😎 keep up the good work!👌mine is a runt compared to yours!
@AutoCrazy, Thanks Bro .... She's even bigger now than the pictures above. It's mainly due to her environment and genetics and the way I feed helps also. She's my best plant by far. But I have a AK-49 Auto grow going on too and she looks like she's gonna be a big girl too !!!
Yours seems to have much more vigor than mine did...mine was super slow starting..😟 (my POTpourri grow)
But, now that it's in flower it's starting to catch up to the rest of the garden.
Mine didn't respond to FIMing like I prefer. Her lower branches didn't really grow out much and she only doubled her top..and with no separation, like Siamese twins..
If I had it to do over again, I'd have just let her go natural.
Good luck with yours!
@Silverback_Guerilla, Thanks Bro .... i'm doing all my auto grows natural from now on , did a blueberry bliss with no topping or LST and her bud structure was AMAZING !!!!
