Plant started to suffer when the DWC nutrients got to warm. I'm upgrading to recirculating with a chiller to keep the nutes at 68 degrees. The plant did really well and yield was pretty good considering.
This is my first grow. Everything seems to be looking okay so far. On day 17, I cut the center out of the top node. I see two new nodes growing nicely now. Do I need to prune more at this point?
Thanks, iGrowZ
No at this stage you need to let her recover from the topping , what you can do is wait for the stems to be longer and then bend them using ropes or anything that can help to practice LST but at this stage you need to wait for more height before you can properly work on the shape. If during next week you see that some secondaries stems aren't receiving enough like then it will be time to consider pruning some leaves 😊👍
Entering the 8th week of flowering. Pistils have gone amber and curling. Tricomes are hard for me to judge. Please look at my photos of the tricomes and let me know if you think I am ready to begin the flush. I am growing 5 gallon DWC and also am curious how long flush. Thanks
They're looking nice. It'd hard to judge with photos. I would wait a bit longer until you see more ambers. Use a 40x jewelers loupe with led light works best. You can grab them off amazon cheap. Depending on the type of high you like 1/2 cloudy /milky with some clear will give you a head high. 1/2 cloudy mostly milky with a few amber to 5% amber will give you a combination of head and body high. Some wait until 15% + amber more of a body high. You can always harvest in stages by taking the main cola which typically ripens first then waiting 4-6 days to take the rest to see which stage you like better. Hope this helps you decide. Good luck
Thanks for the quick response and advice. I am observing (in my opinion) about 15% cloudy tricomes and no amber tricomes yet. May take a few more days or so. Thanks for the advice and information.
