Just curious why you topped her? Space, or just how you grow? Iâm growing one too thatâs at day 16 now and considered it but I heard Daz on a podcast say to let this one grow natural, it will naturally be a bush with a pretty even canopy. Mines young but looking like he was spot on. Node spacing is REALLY tight.
@Mrbeautiful420, right on. Wasnât passing any judgement, was just curious. I just bent her over and spread her out. Good luck man! Hope theyâre bangers
@Ohio_Autoflowers, If you top her at the right time, she doesnt care much because you literally wont take much off her. My best autoflowers were topped at around day 14-18. Had one with over 200grams dry on 50x40cm space. Actually i think 250+, but i just stopped cutting and measuring buds and threw everything into the leaves for bubblehash. Harvest jail wont keep me forever
I couldnât agree more!!! Why top at such a young age. Better yet, why top an autoflower at all. But if you were to top you should wait until you have at a minimum 4 to 5 nodes, looks from your picture you topped her at the first node. Why? You said you were using auto pots and I do believe that they are the most efficient way to water you have to establish the root system first. At 4 inches tall your plant has not yet developed a root system to be ready for a bottom watering auto pot system. At this stage I would still be using a turkey baster for watering. The roots are probably not much more developed than what you can see above ground so until they are 8-10 inches tall and really starting to veg out before bottom watering should be considered. Light. I think she would like more light. Cannabis can handle much more light than other plants and actually thrive with more light. Light is so important that I strongly recommend watching videos on the subject produced by Dr. Bugsby from the University of Utah (if you are going to grow cannabis watch these videos!) Check out my Compound V grow to see some of what Night Owl has to offer. Happy gardening.
@sanibelisl, man my plants in AirPots would like to disagree with the â4 inch arenât ready yetâ my drainage pan was full of roots at day 16. I couldnât believe it but a nice light coco mix and they get down there in no time. A dense soil might take longer, media factors into this. And a good wicking media will saturate 7/8 the way up the pot.
