Sunday Jan 20,2019 at 6:06PM Started the germination process in a glass of RO water. Monday Jan 21,2019 at 7:10PM transferred to a wet paper towel. Wednesday Jan 23,2019 at 3:30AM tap root is a 1/4” transferred to a Solo Cup with CoCo Coir, which I pH”d to 5.8 and gave it some nutrients. Friday Jan 25,2019 at 5:40AM a sprout was showing. It is currently Sunday morning at 2 days old. The single seed by itself with a 1/4” tap root in the paper towel is the Norther Lights. Any comments or suggestions? I need all the help I can get ! Wish me luck 🙂. It’s day 6 and she is coming along nicely. I cut back on the nutes, but will start doubling the amount weekly to see how she handles it, will back off and flush at first sign of over feeding and adjust. So far she is liking the CoCo Coir.
Day 14 and she is doing nicely, outgrew the Solo cup and is now transferred to a 5.7 Litre smart pot. I had to flush the CoCo with 2.5 Gallons of pH’d RO water to get 10ppm out the bottom. I added Myko to the CoCo prior to transplant. Gave her a nice feeding of about 500ml of nutes which drained nicely out the bottom. She is now sitting beside the big White WIdow girl along with two Purple Kush ladies. So far I am liking the CoCo and so is the girl. WIsh me luck. Any comments and suggestions are welcome.
Day 21 end of week 3. She is coming along nicely. Outgrew the 1.5 gallon pot in 6 days. Transferred to the final 5 gallon pot last night. I am very pleased with this grow, she is looking very healthy and responding well to the nutes and CoCo. Any comments or suggestions?
Day 25 Topped her at 10:30AM.
We’ll end of week 4, Day 28 and all is going well. I gave them one feeding of 680PPM and had the slightest of tip burn on PK1, so I flushed with 500PPM which they seem to be doing fine with. All is well, just a slight slow down in growth due to mid week defoliation, but they are bouncing back nicely now. I started to do some LST earlier in the week, but have since removed it. Going to just top all the tops in week 5 and send to flower in week 6. Any comments or suggestions?
Mid-Week Day 33 Topped all tops and defoliated. Getting ready to flip to flower in 10 Days.
Well end of Week 5, Day 35 and she is doing fine, a little smaller compared to my 2 Purple Kush which are the same age and receiving the same feeding. She recovered nicely from the defoliation and LST. Planning on leaving her alone for this coming week except for some LST adjustments before hopefully flipping to flower next weekend. Wish me luck !
End of Week 6, Day 42 and all is fine. Been slowly adjusting the light schedule this week, getting ready for the switch to 12-12. Currently at 15-9, will be 14-10 on Saturday, 13-11 on Sunday and finally 12-12 on Monday March 11. She is a little smaller than the other 2 Purple Kush. First time running both strains so don’t know what’s the norm. Getting a little worried about the crowding in the 39” x 48” x 72” tent with 4 plants in there. Wish me luck 😎
Week 7, Day 49, Day 5 of flower. This week went well. She is healthy and growing nicely. Getting bushy again and starting to stretch. 5 days into flower and little white hairs are starting to show.😎 Having a little problem with humidity, but working on fixing it. Installed a bigger dehumidifier and rerouting the exhaust line. Should improve after that. Going to defoliate again in 2 weeks, should help with the humidity as well as there are 4 plants in this tent and getting crowded quickly. Any suggestions or comments or concerns?
Week 8, Day 56, Day 12 of Flower.
Well the girl is doing nicely again. All in all things are going well. I did notice a few fan leaves with a slight purpling so I will try adding a little more CaliMagic on the next feed. She is currently receiving 200ppm of CaliMagic. The last feeding was 660ppm total nutes, but 950ppm 1.9EC in the run-off so I gave her some Phed water to help clear some of the nutes building up in the media on the next feed which went down to 650ppm 1.3EC in the run-off. Thinking about doing a flush with some Florakleen, or should I wait until flush time at week 7 and 8 of flower when Trichomes are hopefully milky. All comments and suggestions welcome.
Week 9, Day 63, Day 19 of Flower.
Once again all is going well, she is doing nicely. Buds are starting to bulk and some nice colas starting to form. I am very pleased with how she is doing. After this coming week 4 of Flower I am going to switch to only KoolBloom 2-45-28 for 2 to 3 weeks at a 1/4 tsp/gallon. Any suggestions or comments?
End of week 4 and all is going well, had a slight calcium issue on a couple of leaves, but it was corrected and all is good again. This girl is responding well to the nutes, but my run-off is getting a little high, that should change when I cut out the Flora Micro and just feed calmag, Dnectar and KoolBoom for the next couple of weeks. Any comments or suggestions? Wish me luck.... just a few weeks to harvest now.
Grow is coming along nicely. Only providing Calmag and KoolBloom now. Took some Trichome pics. The seed packaging for this strain said 6-7 Weeks , I prefer to check Trichomes 😎👌
Grow is coming along nicely. Only providing Calmag and KoolBloom. Colas are getting bigger, but crowding is becoming an issue. pH in root zone has been slowly decreasing. Adjusted nutrient pH a little higher to compensate. Only a few more weeks to go. 😎
All is going well, Week 7, Day 47 of Flower. Cola’s are starting to fall into each other and tip over. I didn’t have enough yo-yos to go around all 4 plants. Nearing the end of this grow anyways. Colas are nice and dense and sticky, what a beautiful smell. Trichomes are almost all milky and a couple of ambers. Will monitor closely this week. Hopefully will start flushing by end of week 8 if there are enough amber trichomes.
All is going well, Week 8, Day 54 of Flower. Well I started the FLUSH, it took only 6 gallons of pH adjusted water to bring her down from 1200ppm to 190ppm. Cola’s are falling into each other and tipping over. I didn’t have enough yo-yos to go around all 4 plants. Trichomes are looking a lot cloudier since last week with some ambers. Going to be a busy day this coming Friday, chop chop time. I’ve never trimmed before as this will be my first harvest, but definitely looking forward to it. I will say though, I will not do 4 plants together in this tent again, it’s just too crowded and definitely will effect the yield. I will try just one plant with a longer veg time with a lot of training for multiple colas with a scrog net.
Day 104, week 9, Day 61 Flower.
Harvest Time......She was flushed with pH adjusted water for a week every two days. Her last 48Hrs were in total darkness and then she was chopped down. I found her to be a strain that was very easy to work with and enjoyed the entire grow. I probably should have let her go another week, but I couldn’t wait. I finally had a successful harvest. She is currently drying in the tent with her sisters. This was my first harvest and I heard it takes time to trim, but I had no idea it would take that long. Anyways take a look at the whole process. Sorry for so many pics. I’ll complete the harvest week as soon as the dry weight is complete. I also included pics of the root system.
I really enjoyed growing this strain and definitely look forward to growing it again. It responded very well to training and produced some very nice buds. I preferred this strain to the white widow I also grew.
