Mack&Crack + AmarettoTarmac

gr3g4l a calm start, without seeing anything special that made me think they wouldn't all make it. Sixth day a transplant to a 1L pot. 4 of them, the 4 chosen for this follow-up: numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5. The table is indicative; there will be more weeks of growth and more of flowering, but I will try to follow this routine as much as possible.

gr3g4l An excess of watering during the second transplant to 1L caused deficiencies that showed on the leaves in the form of spots. This week I let the substrate dry well, and it seems we've stopped the bleeding.

gr3g4l This week started off well, they recovered from the overwatering. Last day of this week I transplanted to a 7L fabric pot and changed the tent with the Lumatek to 150W. Later on, we'll increase to 220W until I switch them to flowering at 300W. Out of the 4 that were supposed to be, I ended up with three due to lack of space. The 7L fabric pots plus the saucer make the tent feel small. I preferred the 7L pots and will let them grow a few more days.

gr3g4l We started the week in the 74x74x170 tent with the Lumatek at 50%. I also did a pruning of the first pair of nodes. Cotyledons and leaves were removed a few days ago. On the 23rd, seeing that they had improved and adapted well to the light change, I decided to increase the Lumatek power from 50% to 75%, from 150W to 220W. On the 24th, I pruned the lower nodes again, as the leaves were too close to the ground. On the 26th, I decided to swap number 2 for number 5 (the one in the one-liter pot). I kept it for a few days in case one of them started to twist and I didn't see it growing like the others, and I think number 5 was going that way, so I changed 2 for 5. We'll know if I made the right choice if it grows better than the others. lol Last day of the week, first watering with TopVeg; until then, I just took advantage of the nutrients already in the substrate.

gr3g4l At 30 days, I started bending the stems of the tallest ones, and I'll keep doing that with the others as they grow. Once they reach a certain size and stem thickness, I remove the training clips and tie the apical to the pot with gardening wire to keep them horizontal so that all the lower branches keep growing too.

gr3g4l with 36 days we continue bending to maintain horizontal growth and let the lower branches grow at 38 days a pruning of fan leaves. 39 days testing where and how the nets will go.

gr3g4l This week we noticed some calcium deficiency possibly due to an acidic substrate pH or blockage. A little fan leaf trimming, plant swap, 49 days last day of growth.

gr3g4l After 6-7 days from the last fan leaf trimming, I took out a few more leaves, just a little bit. Since the grow tent is outside the house and even with two 80W heaters, we can see how at certain times of the day the temperature drops significantly, it is what it is. A foliar spray with Delta9 to stimulate the flora.

gr3g4l At 9 days, after a few days from the last pruning, I removed some leaves again, just a few. I mainly took off from the apical ones to slow them down a bit while the lower branches keep growing. This week, as flowering is about to start, I added a third heater so the temperature doesn't drop too much at night. As you can see in the previous weeks, there were some very minimal lows. I also removed the humidifier. At 11 days, one already feels like pruning, like emptying things out, but I’ll have to wait a few more days for precaution, due to the possibility of stress. I’ll wait until the buds are more defined and the plants stop growing at the pace they do in pre-flower. They say about 21 days, but we’ll see if it coincides with watering and my eagerness; it could be a bit earlier or a bit later depending on the strains. This time, Delta9 in the watering.

gr3g4l At 16 days, after 7 days from the last pruning, I removed a few more to avoid shading the buds, the start of flowering. The most useful tool for growing right now, without a doubt, is the watering can 😂. On day 17, I opted for supercropping the apex of plant number 5 since it had stretched a lot; overall, that plant is growing better. Plant number 5 was the one I initially discarded, and then I decided to switch it for plant number 2. See weeks 4 and 7.

gr3g4l At 22 days, 7 days after the last leaf trimming and 22 days since the change in photoperiod, I decided to do another trimming, this one a bit more severe. Buds, leaves, and suckers from the bottom. From then on, I'll only be removing an occasional leaf or any shoot or bud that pops up that I don't like, very little. I got rid of the net, I was fed up with it. I took it off for the trimming and then I was too lazy to put it back on. I prefer less quantity. This week, explosion of trichomes!

gr3g4l This week we can clearly start to differentiate the formation of buds from one strain to another. AMARETTO TARMAC The result of the cross between Amaretto Sour and Apollo Black Cherry, this sativa-dominant genetic promises a high-flying, cerebral, and stimulating effect that sparks creativity. MACK&CRACK The Mac (AKA Mac1 AKA miracle alien cookies) x Green Crack. One of the few independently verified genetics with over 30% THC.

gr3g4l This week we noticed that the LEDs were too close to the tops when the apical buds showed the beginning of albinism, so we had to move them a bit further away, about 40 cm or so, maybe a little less. The two Amarettotarmac show a noticeable difference in the morphology of the buds, but both smell fruity, cherry, strawberry, something very rich and noticeable from a long distance, they smell a lot. xd

gr3g4l This week it seems to be progressing well. Stabilization of the 0 potato strains, all quite different in smells and structure of their buds, some with more leaves, others with more calyxes, buds more or less dense, etc. However, I actually like it this way; I enjoy the diversity and being able to perceive different flavors and effects among them, different phenotypes. In the end, it's appreciated because it doesn't get so monotonous.

gr3g4l Root washing week, watering with osmosis water, nothing more. 3 or 4 waterings and then chop.

gr3g4l The Amaretto Tarmac was harvested this week, the ninth 12/12h. A very, very intense fruity smell, the use of a carbon filter is necessary.

gr3g4l This week is the last for the Mack&Crack, they've had several water-only feedings already, they're more than flushed.
