Introduction
According to Barney’s Farm this strain grows around 90 cm and yields 500 gr/m2 in about 70-75 days, commands a THC content of up to 25% and a CBD content of up to 2,4%. She is an indica dominant strain (65%) and has very tight node spacing.
Germination
I used the paper towel method, the temperature was around 20°C and it was dark.
I filled the 5-gallon (19 l, 30x25cm) fabric container with BioBizz All-Mix (it contains 35% garden peat, 30% perlite, 20% sphagnum peat moss, 10% BioBizz Worm Humus, 5% Pre-Mix), but in the middle I left a 7cm plant pot sized hole, what I filled with BioBizz Light-Mix, because it is better for seedlings (it is lightly pre-fertilised). I was moistening the growing medium with 1,5l dechlorinated tap water when I put the seed on the paper towel, because BioBizz recommends it for 36 hours before planting, to activate the dry fertiliser Pre-Mix and the micro-organisms.
The seed coat cracked in 48 hours. I put the seed into the soil on the 3rd of December (79 hours later than I put it into paper towels). I think the germination is a bit slow, maybe because of the relatively cold temperature.
This round I'm growing 3 different strains (I'll write my experiences in separate diaries) and started germination at the same time. Although the other two plants had smaller radicles when I planted them, they emerged ahead of Wedding Cake (she hadn't popped her head out on December 8). I think the reason for this is that perhaps I put the seed in the hole with the radicle up and now it needs a little more work to position herself correctly. We'll see how far behind she is. Anyway, I have the grow light set at 50%, currently 45 cm from the ground.
On 9 December, I put a plastic dome on the moist soil to maintain constant humidity. 7 days after planting (at dawn on the 11th), she finally popped her head out.
