First Photoperiod :) Glueberry OG

Another busy week in the tent, but it's a great way to beat the winter February blues😃. I DECLARE WAR!!!!!! on fungus gnats😡. On Feb.21 (Day 29) I repotted and reset my tent. I started by treating all the drains in my house with bleach, then hydrogen peroxide (3% USP). My plastic Blueberry pots were treated with a layer of landscape fabric to prevent the little buggers coming in through the bottom. Then all the gals were up potted with 3TBSP 4-4-4 and 1 TBSP 2-8-4 per gallon of media. The Blue Cookies and Glueberry OG went into 7 gallon fabric pots. I then mixed in 4 heaping TBSP of diatomaceous earth per pot into the top inch of media, and topped off the pots with an inch of GnatNix barrier. I then watered in slowly with a 4:1 ratio of ph'd dechlorinated tap water and hydrogen peroxide. ( 400mL water plus 100mL hydrogen peroxide to make 500mL of solution). Now...hopefully that will kill any larvae in the media, and slow the adults from relaying eggs. Then it was time to address the adults buzzing around my tent. I made a bunch of homemade sticky traps (See Grow Tip below), and some Apple Cider Vinegar traps. Today's body count on the traps is 29, and has been that for a few days. Feb.21 - Day 29 : Declared war on the fungus gnat. Made a bunch of gnat traps, and repotted and reset my whole grow tent. My girl went into a 7 gallon fabric pot, with amended soil 3TBSP 4-4-4 and 1TBSP 2-8-4 per gallon of media; however, I broke off a tip branch in the process (sh*t 💩). She then was watered in well with a gallon of the water/hydrogen peroxide 4:1 concoction. Feb.22 - Day 30 : Cleaned my warm mist humidifiers with vinegar to remove the hard water deposits. She has grown overnight!!! Feb.24 - Day 32 : She is off and growing fast. No transplant shock at all! or negative reaction to the hydrogen peroxide. Feb.26 - Day 34 : She has become a little hedge hog!! Time to defoliate and tie her down again before she gets out of hand! Gave her 1/2 gallon dechlorinated water pH'd to 6.6 and 1.5mL of calmag. Feb. 27 - Day 35 : This little girl is defiant!!!💪 She's already rebounded and is ready for more defoliation and bondage! So that's what she got😉. Grow Tip - Make your own re-usable sticky traps. Get a plastic file folder ( I found this one at Dollorama). Bright colours that mimick flowers seem to work best. Cut it up to make any size or shape of trap you like. Next I spread a thin layer of a product called tanglefoot ( I found this at my local nursery Terra $16 Cdn) Vasoline petroleum jelly would likely also work (although I have not tried that), onto the plastic trap.
