Seedling is 2 weeks old. Germinated after 24 hours in 4:1 water to hydrogen peroxide solution. Placed in rockwool with a pinch of Promix and placed in humidity dome with SunBlaster 18" T5HO germination light. Seedling broke soil after 3 days. 10 days later transplanted to a solo cup with Promix. Seems to be growing too slow, can't tell if due to rockwool cube. Hopefully catches up so I don't have to start over.
I'm overly cautious, especially with a number of first experiences. I started this seed in rockwool but already went straight to soil with my CBD Force seed. Future runs I'll get the seedling closer to my germination light. It's low strength but the last thing I wanted to do was burn baby leaves. I also overwatered at first which may have contributed to the bright green color instead of deep green, though the leaves looked fine otherwise.
4 weeks old, 1 week after transplanting. She's handled the transplant well and after first watering with bottled water I gave 1/4 strength fertilizer and no adverse reaction. I also turned light strength from 8 to 9 and all is well. Will increase light to 10 and use 1/2 strength fertilizer for next feeding.
Increased fert dosage to 3/4 and plant responding well so will go full strength next feeding. Plant is big enough to begin bottom feeding. Plants didn't appreciate full strength light so staying at 9/10 for now.
By the end of the week the auxiliary branches became more prominent and the plant began to give off it's trademark scent. Unfortunately another plant in the tent was blocking the cam and I didn't realize it needed a watering so I took a couple pics while wilting and gave it a half gallon in the self-watering base. I didn't realize you need to top-water the first time using the self-water base to get it to wick so lesson learned.
On 1/5 I topped the Royal Medic and added a gallon of fertilizer to self-watering base and another gallon on top of the soil to activate wicking.
On 1/11 I went ahead to mainline, securing the 4 branches and chopping them after the first node. I then defoliated everything below these branches.
Plant is responding well. I would have preferred to start this sooner but since it's a photo so there's more leeway.
Tops are coming in but uneven due to position of pot to the light so gave the pot a turn. Besides that she's handled the mainline, LST, and defoliation from last week pretty well. I foresee balancing cola height being a challenge until adding a ScrOG, which will be a small custom one-container rig as the tent is shared with other types of plants so no room.
Just some minor defoliation at the bottom of the plant to remove some excess that doesn't get light. Hoping doing so slows growth for a few days in order for the clone to catch up because I'm running out of room.
Defoliated and lolipopped on 2/14, top dressed with Gaia general purpose and bloom as well as worm castings on 2/16 and watered with potassium silicate. Tomorrow 2/17 will flip lights to 12-12 to begin flower. I could have gone further with defoliating but wanted to be cautious due to flipping just a couple days later.
First full week of flipping to flower. Been only giving ph'ed water since top dressing the soil, with the exception of today being the 2nd application of potassium silicate. Removed s few leaves as well.
