This is my first attempt at a grow, it was a free seed from true north seed banks, I'll give it a shot I guess!
Sprouted through the Promix Hp on november 11th 2018 looked strong.
I then made the mistake of feeding her gh 3 part nutes, she burned pretty bad as you will see in next week.
Cheap1000w full spectrum chinese LED was used in this grow tent 36" from the plant.
There was some serious nute burns on this girl from my stupidity in beggining.
Lesson learned, we dont feed in seedling stage as it burns the living s@#t out of them.
I wasnt sure if I was going to scrap the plant but decided against it and give her a chance to recover
Getting much better this week.
Getting her green back, looks like she might be going into flower too.
Started adding nutes again and she seems to be responding again.
Anyways
Lights are on 18/6 still, I wont be changing this for the duration of this grow.
I Will be watching closely for any signs of her going Hermy on me
She bounced back really well now, 20th dec went hard into flower and is gaining more foliage, stretching well too.
I'm still concerned she is a little stunted but time will tell!
Started dropping the nutes, nitrogen is easing off a little, phosphorus and potassium are slowly being increased, had a good clean water flush on Tuesday so will feed again on friday.
Growth has exploded now!
Moved the light closer upped and downed the nutes this week
Not much else to report, smell is getting stronger so installed a cheap vivosun 400cfm fan and 12" carbon filter
She looks to be strong and no hermy trait so I'm happy.
Smell is getting getting stronger now.
Not much else to report
Bought a loupe to check out the trichomes no idea what I'm looking for but love the learning curve.
Hard to believe it's nearly over for this grow but 3 ish weeks left and she gets the chop.
It's been a fun first grow, learning a lot of things from this one.
Anyway
Checked the trichomes to see where im at in flower and starting to get cloudy, installed a couple aflex COB light fixtures because the growth in the other tent is extensive, just hoping it helps with the swelling of these buds
Main cola is made up of 4 or 5 chunky buds so well see.
Will start to flush in the first week of february
Started to look at the trichome development more intensely now as she begins her last swelling for the next week or two as they turn amber.
I'm not one for heavy couchlock highs so the more cloudy the better, I'll chop her in 2 parts, main cola first, then monitor the other buds development with the more accessible light they will get over a week or so then consider chopping when the time comes.
I'm still kind of sad she will be gone soon (she took my cannabis growing virginity) yes I know sentimental snowflake!
Anyways
Im Thinking also about 1more feeding with nutes and then starting a flush in a few days, I'm not entirely sure of other sign's to say she is ready?
She is still sprouting/growing white pistils which is confusing me a little.
So if the more knowledgeable among could give me some tips I'd be forever grateful.
It's the final week for her, going to harvest either this weekend or if I can hold out till next Wednesday I'll chop her then.
She is still drinking 1/4 - 1/2 litre every 2 days, sticky as hell, smells great, trichomes are turning amber (10%), defoilated some water leaves tonight in prep for the chop.
Edit Feb 7th
Bananas started appearing so she had to be chopped and hung to dry
I'd reccomend night time use, although a hybrid it has a body melt effect, at least with me it did, started as a euphoric head high and then plowed me into the couch.
The grow taught me alot about myself and my patience, how to feed, love anand nurture a plant
I had read a lot of journals on this strain and was sent a free seed for true north seed banks, with an order i had placed, I tried some from a dispensary and decided to sprout this as my first ever grow, here in canada were legal now so what the heck why not.
I stunted the poor girl in late seedling - early veg hence my yield was a little less than expected, a lot of popcorn nugs but have been assured by many that this is not the case usually.
I'm happy with the smoke, the high and the results from my first plant.
Will for sure be growing this again as its a fun easy forgiving plant for beginners.
Watch the nutrient doses and pay attention to what the plant leaves are telling you and I believe she will give huge yields.
@TheBudWhisperer,
Thanks, she smokes great and smells like stilton with skunk.
The grow was awesome too, taught me a lot, my other grows are goi g great because of what this plant taught me
