The 3rd time is a charm! A number of weeks ago I started growing again after a hiatus of 7 years. I let a buddy of mine talk me into a DWC system, but when running a business, raising a young boy and taking care of other life matters, I found I had just too little time to run a system like that, which takes constant monitoring and care. I ran into problems I didn’t even know could happen to cannabis plants that fast. And it was just going from 1 problem into the next. The plants looked meagre and unhealthy and nowhere near their full potential. Because hobby’s should be fun. I decided to scrap the whole DWC system and go back to what I know best… fabric pots & coco 👍😍 Sure, the yield may be a little less than an optimal DWC grow, but getting a DWC to run optimal takes much trail and error and i.m.h.o. just too much risk on losing a crop half way through 😱😭 Changes in equipment to my last failed grow: I changed out the Monkey fans for silent HighPro clip fans, becase those were just too damn load! And I added a Pure Factory Taifun Fog Box V Humidifier, 4,5 l, which makes all the difference! Here’s my full equipment list for those who are interested: Secret Jardin Dark Room R 3.0, DR120 2 x Sanlight Q6W 215 Watt LED 9 x Gronest Fabric Pot, 25 l Canna Coco Professional PLUS Soler & Palau TD Silent 500, 550/450/350 m3/h + Soler & Palau Controller Prima Klima Carbon Filter, 460m³/h, max. 720m³/h Air-in: Phonic Trap, Isotube without rockwool, 127 mm Air-out: Phonic Trap, Isotube without rockwool, 160 mm 2 x HighPro Silent Clip ProFan 20cm, 7,5 W Pure Factory Taifun Fog Box V Humidifier, 4,5 l Bluelab Combo pH + EC + Temperature Meter Garden High Pro Thermo / Hygrometer 2 x Easy Rolls Set 2 x Garden Highpro Prohanger XL Green House Powder Feeding Enzymes Camera: Canon EOS 2000D I will try and take many pictures for you guys and maybe even a video now and then. So I made the mistake of overwatering (hence some yellowing leafs), even when I was trying to be sooooo careful not to do that. The best thing for a young cannabis plant is growing in a smaller pot first and then transplanting it several times into bigger pots before you come to the final, largest pot. But unfortunately the way I’m setup here makes that an impossibility, simply because I lack (storage) space. Planting clones into large pots like I did makes watering them in the early weeks a precarious matter. You can overwater them so quickly. I now let them dry out for 5 days and will give them a much smaller drink at the next feeding tomorrow. Probably means I have to water more often, but that’s a LOT better than yellow leafs! I’ve topped the plants at the end of week 2 and started some low stress training on the now emerging branches. Here some pictures of week 2. See you in week 3! Happy Growing ya’ll!

Half way in week 3 now. I hung up the SCROG nett tonight and continued the low stress training on the now emerging branches to get an even canopy as possible. The Ladies have recovered fine from the slight overwatering problem + the topping and are shooting out new sprouts from all sides! See you in week 4! Keep it green!

Week 4, last week of vegetation. I continued the low stress training to get an even canopy and hopefully as many bud-sites as possible. Other than that I have not much interesting to share with you guys this week. See you all next week with a real update again! Till then, Keep it green!

The topping and low stress training over the past weeks have more than paid off. The ladies are healthy, the Scrogg is filling up nicely and the canopy is nice and even. So now at the beginning of week 5, I felt it was time to set the clock to 12:12. I already switched to the hybrid feed last week, because it looked like they could use the extra nutrients. Every other feeding I add a tiny bit of calcium, just for a little extra kick. And of course still the Enzymes and the Hydroguard. I always do the initial defoliation in the 1st week of flowering. That way I feel I don’t stress them too much during vegetation and the plant can then focus on the top growth instead of the measly bottom growth, that isn’t getting much light anymore anyway. I don’t do this initial defoliation too aggressively and always leave bud-sites that I think might still develop or catch up (now that they have more light on them). For indoor grows, I always say: “If you can’t see through your plant(s) anymore…. it’s time to defoliate!” I am still continuing training the branches, so I will have a completely filled up scrogg in a few weeks’ time, with a tapestry of buds poking out of it. Any questions or comments, feel free! Till next time & Keep it green!

Nice to see a Lemon Garlic OG grow diary platform👍 She will respond very well in a scrogg type set up, you will need to do a little training to maintain an even canopy but nothing to excessive 👊 Good luck with the grow my friend and thank you for choosing our genetics for this adventure on the grow diary platform 👍 Until next time ✌️ Kind regards Team-HSO..

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thnx for this comment! I’m actually pretty honoured by it 😃 I think that you guys are amongst the top seed companies world-wide, with always original and killer strains that beg to be grown. And yes, the ladies bounced back straight away after topping, and after a week had already completely recovered. With some LST the scrogg is filling up nicely and they are shooting out new bud-sites all over the place. I’ll upload some new pictures soon! Peace & Love!

Hey Happygrower! Nice setup dude, that will help greatly. Only, timing is everything and i think you're a bit soon with switching, you should have waited for two more weeks until your net fills up nicely. And when you switch to 12/12, the plants are in transition into flowering, but must be considered in vegetative state until those little crowns of green hairs have formed, then you start counting flowering. So your total veg time will be 6 weeks. I'll be following you, if you have questions please ask, grtz, Budcrack.
