Hoping for these three to go into the 60 x 32in tent in 3/4 days. Currently finishing off two Mango Isle F2. They will be going into large eazyplug pyramids, and I have four viparspectra xs1500 pro . Pyramids will be soaked with a 200ppm solution of 1part micro 1part grow and 1 part bloom. GP3. plus some H2O2. All through this grow I will be detailing the exact mix of GP3 Nutes consisting of Micro Grow and Bloom. This is the same as the G.H nutes which are also Micro Grow Bloom. They are interchangeable. I will be using nute ratios and ppm based on the very latest scientific university research data.

They all came up within 3 days and they've been very fragile looking but that's how my last night owls looked so I know they'll be hitting their stride soon. The bean that started with the bent leaf is looking normal but it's a little behind, so it's one to keep an eye on. Otherwise from what I've seen this Blue Power is fast to frosty up. I have done nothing since planting the plug into the pyramid, no water or nutes, in fact I won't be adding any nutes till the beginning of week three, until then just plain pH6 water with some H2O2.

During second week plugs were watered from the outside using plain water twice. At the beginning of week three all three plugs were soaked with a nutrient solution of 16ml Micro 24ml Grow and 8ml of Bloom, in 10L of water. Plus some H2O2 plus pH up to 6. approximately ppm of 600 I have constructed new light shields made from plastic board which I am hoping will give a better root die off without algae build up. The algae does't harm the plant but it is annoying.

I am pretty disappointed with the bad structure on all three of these which appears to be fairly common with the BPF4's. Undergrowth is twisted and weird, I have topped them all at d19 which might not have been a good idea considering the already strange growth but I still feel that gives me more control. I'm sure that whatever grows will produce a decent bud, it's just a matter of how to maximise yield on this type of stunted bean. I'll see how they grow and perhaps give them a big trim and prune in a week and see if they can stretch their way out of trouble. To cut the corrugated plastic sheet I first sliced it so that it was 160mm deep, then I could align the base of the cardboard cut to the right size, to draw the sides, then flip the cardboard upside down to draw the next side, this way all pieces align really well. The card is 245mm on the base, 160mm deep, and the base angles are 66.6 degrees.

The lower branches on all three are twisted, deformed and also mutated, the stem is fat, and worse yet, the biggest and best plant turned out to be a male, and I don't mean it hermed, it has no early single pistils like the other two and is covered everywhere with cajones. I didn't even notice till I wondered why the top buds look a bit like they are going into flower. So that is a massive huge disappointed. Not only is the structure not very good but there is a male plant. I removed all the mutated branches which was the first three sets on one and two sets on the other. As a result of this I will have to begin my next run early, and I'll be choosing something safe, (I hope) a Grape Deebo. Otherwise the new panels for the Eazyplug Pyramids work great, they let the roots die off while keeping the algae down.

The small one is staying very stumpy, but the larger one is improving. I have bended the stems as much as I can to try and open them out. Nutrient strength has been reduced as this strain seems very sensitive to nutes. I have 3 Grape Deebo at a week old to make up for the poor performance of Blue Power, will put them up tomorrow.

This week went pretty well as expected, the runt is as runty as ever, I have exposed as much inner branches as I can, this will be maybe 1/2oz but they both have a very high density covering of trichomes. The larger one, is till tiny but not a runt, there are a lot of branches so it should look quite pretty when all frosted up. Very fine pistils on these maybe the finest I've ever seen. (fine as in thin)

Frosting up heavily as expected, meaty leaves as expected, larger one is nearly 15" so that almost tall enough to be called 'small'. the little runt looks like it will be one large knotty ball of juice. I have been going my best to keep bending these apart, but the smaller one is too strong to do any more with.

Looks like nothing much is happening except the fan leaves dying, but looking back on last week I can see they are maturing. They are going to have to come down next week when the good leaves start dying because I'm going to need the room although if they do look like they might get a bit plumper I can give them a home on the edge of the tent, such is the flexibility of leaving on side of the tent open.

Necrosis of older leaves has stopped and upper leaves are still holding on gradually beginning to fade as buds are starting to fatten up. I think I can go for another week. I have planted my final two Blue Power both in Mini Pyramids which I will begin a diary for next week. These are far and away the frostiest buds I've ever seen, with beautiful subtle colouring. The stigmas are turning a tan brown and the edges of the leaves are going purple giving an overall bluish look, very pretty. Smell is minty and earthy with some pine.

They have fattened up a bit more and the leaves on the larger one are going a dark plum, almost black colour making everything look silvery grey, there is less colour on the smaller one so she has a greener tinge. 10 weeks today and I think they are going to have to come down. I found a tiny bit of bud rot on one of the small satellite buds on the small plant, otherwise everything looks ok, but I don't think there is any value to push further ahead. I have planted two more Blue Power in mini pyramids, one already looks bad, I will probably replace that one with a new different strain next week to prove it has nothing to do with the plug itself.

Have seen good things about this breeder. Have started using breeders for my new crop. Hopefully one day I'll give these ago. Good luck with your grows.

@gottagrowsometime, I will be growing Night Owl genetics for the next year at least, my first ones Mango Isle I am very pleased with excellent terps and trichomes, meets my minimum standards for size, I got 6oz each. A breeder who is very well worth trying is Terp Treez based in the UK, their Blue Nerdz auto is the best quality auto I have ever grown after growing autos for six years. The hardest thing to come to terms with with autos is the variability. These Blue Nerdz were the ONLY strain I've ever grown where ever single one was strong and produced consistently excellent structure, fast to finish and high trichome density, I grew 10 and my final one this week that I grew with my Mango Isle, had no purple, like all the others, but still had the same terps and same beautiful structure, huge buds and not many leaves.

My 91 Grapes 🍇 spouted today and I have know plans to do any training on her. I expect her satellite branches will form a pretty level canopy all on her own. I am hoping that coming from F4 parents I will see the difference in her hardy genetics. Happy gardening

@sanibelisl, that's what I expected from the Blue Power F4's, stability, but they appear very unstable. This is the reason that I am committed to growing single strain grows, in order to find out what is really going on.

Hey me again. Blue Power! I also picked up a pack of of those. I am currently setting up a new tent and light that I received for my sixtieth birthday (still waiting on the tent). The light is a NextLight Mega Pro Series 640watt 1650ppfd Can’t wait to get it setup and growing again. Then will be deciding which strain to grow first. I now have acquired four more Night Owl strains to choose from. Night Owl plants have been bred to grow an even canopy with the bottom branches reaching close to all others. Before you top and train your Blue Power checkout some incredible Night Owl plants at “Autopotomus “ online. Any way I’m rambling on. Happy gar

@sanibelisl, when you get to the Blue Power, they require much less nutes, I'm just giving them 300ppm and they are doing well now albeing small.

Daz. Daz. Daz. Blue Power, can’t wait!!! I also picked up a pack along with a pack of High Lux this time around. Also have from the Dog Days of Summer drop a pack of CHEM91 (clone only) which I am positive will take me back to the original I was smoking back in Florida in ‘91 And a Vanilla Fizz as well. Bought a pack of Compound V last spring and popped two beans not really sure what to expect from Night Owl genetics. Well I was not to be disappointed! They were a blast to grow and though they were the shortest plants I’ve ever grown (27inches) the final yield was over four ounces per plant. Looking forward to following your Milk and Qookies grow as I have passed them up (I want them all). Anyway my Compound V grow is here to look at if you like. Happy gardening. P. S. Daz has done most of the work for us, picking out the best stock over and over until we get the best product available with as little work on our part as possible. In other words I believe any removal of vegetation (unless done within a very short window of time) will result in lessening your yield. LST is your best option but again because Daz has done all work for us his plants grow vigorously and as a result a little more stout and the main stem more “woody”. That’s what I learned with the Compound V grow.

@sanibelisl, I'm a recent Night Owler, bought into the Hollowe'en drop. There is a BP grow off thread on reddit night owl. I'll be growing night owl seeds for the next 18 months. I have to say that I am very impressed with my two Mango Isle F2 which are around 6.5 weeks, beautiful structure and delicious aromas. I start a new group of three beans every 7 weeks. Coming up is Galaxy Brain, Redball, SMQR#2, Master Bruce, Grape Deebo and Zamadelica.
