First time grow, I did grow a Gelato from a baggy seed but he turned out to have more balls than me so he got an eviction notice.
Trying again with some better equipment and genuine seeds.
End of week one veg, not a great deal of change. But I have re potted her from the solo cup to her big pot. I’ve started using canna A&B instead of Canna Start. Fingers crossed for some growth this week!
Steady growth into 2nd week. Not a lot happening yet but slowly getting there. I think I may have over watered as I’ve noticed a little yellowing on the edges of leaves.
Into week 3 Veg, topped at the 4th node but now I’m thinking I may have been a little too eager. Slapped some wire in to start a little LST action. So far so good, a little discolouration on some leaves and a minor battle with some spider mites but I seem to have washed them out for now at least.
Onwards to flowering!
Into the last week of veg now, gave this girl a bit of a haircut today and as per my usual standard, I don’t really know what I’m doing so I just closed my eyes and let my inner Druid guide my snips!
Installed my scrog net and re jigged my LST wires as well. At the end of this week I’ll switch her over to 12-12 and hopefully she’ll start making a stink
This girl is coming along quite nicely I think. Topped and trimmed last week and within a few days the stem was thicker and more bud sites appeared.
Fair amount of growth from the two top colas. Hopefully she begins to flower soon.
This was a free seed and so far I’ve been really impressed, I will definitely be buying more from this company.
Last week of veg and into flower now. She’s doing great, she’s a thirsty girl for sure! Also wishing I’d used a fabric pot instead of the plastic one but now I know for next time!
According to ChatGPT she’s about half way through flower now. I can honestly say I’ve never seen these colours on a plant of any kind, but this plant is literally the second plant I’ve ever grown, in my life, ever.
She’s pretty and she’s smells like heaven, what’s not to love?
No yellow tips or curls, I’ve really enjoyed this whole process and I feel like I’ve learned a lot. I am super excited to have some of this purple bud burning away soon!
